it's not like they can time travel to the release day so they can promote it while the game is in development edit: changed so people don't get confused
There's an unused graphic that is shown in the small cutscene that plays when unlocking the Ability room (when pressing the last giant button) that shows an icicle-looking mirror frame. I think it might be a miscolored version of the forest mirror frame, but I'm not too sure.
The first unused hub frame was likely intended for Mustard Mountain, as it has an entire sub-section made of those orange stone ruins. It only leads to a goal in the final game, perhaps it was initially planned to be the final part of the area leading up to Kracko.
Hey Tetra! Speaking of GBA unused/beta content, a prototype demo build of Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga recently surfaced with many interesting changes to the final! It would be awesome if you decided to cover it in a future video! Thanks for all the amazing content!
Hell yeah the next part of one of my favorite Kirby games! It just came out on switch and I already finished playing through it again I’m glad it’s more accessible for people now though. Always cool to see stuff like this Kirby is one of my favorite series especially this game. I played this game so much as a kid just wandering around
The icon for wait state was also used for the unused beta screen with the kirby laying on "jam" with a ghost. It's possible that originally players who died would get to continue helping as a ghost, which would have been cool.
Regarding the musical information, The cymbal crash is hearable at the beginning of Area 9's BGM, The piano is hearable in Crackity Hack's BGM, The music box/chime is hearable(hard to notice) in the ending BGM. The string instrument seems like a staccato of another string instrument(there are like 5), it's still left unused though. And the weird flute sound's instrument is unmapped, which causes the instrument to be instrument ID 0(which is a flute sound), you can map it to instrument 67(KatAM drumset, 127 is a drumset channel leftover from KNiDL, which is used in tracks that are obviously copied from KNiDL) to get extra percussion, which actually sounds right. For TetraBit: The "unused" samples aren't playing a scale, they are just playing a single note in C, Vyroz turned it into a scale.
Hiii, you're correct about the Cymbal, so I should probably correct that :P. However, the piano is not referenced in Crackity Hack, and the chime is actually a different one that sounds pretty similar to the one used in the edning, but it's still unused.
@@Vyroz The piano is not referenced in Crackity Hack??? The 4th channel in the song which is mapped to instrument 111(which sounds similar to the "unused" music box, instrument ID 112), and there is an event in the middle of the song that changes the instrument ID of this channel to 124, which is the "unused" piano. I should double check the ending song though.
Re-checked the ending song, at the part where it's about to loop, channel 6 changes instrument ID to 112. So yeah the "unused" music box 112 is also used. I guess it's just barely any different-sounding from 111 that nobody noticed
@@Mizu2023 It's strange cuz I'm checking the songs right now and the instruments seem to match what I say. All of the songs have their events stay the same on my end. Maybe it's just another mistake on my part >_
Alright I just checked one more time, and it turns out Sappy, the software I use for these things, is just bad 💀. I did know it was buggy but it's still somewhat relieable. I just didn't think it would fail me THIS bad LOL. So yeah, I just toyed around with the songs in Anvil Studio and it appears you're correct! The 4th track does change mid-way from voicegroup 111 to voicegroup 124. I haven't checked the ending but since you already gave you're own response I think that's also the case >_< Anyway thank you so much for letting me know about this! ^0^ It's nice to know other ppl care about Amazing Mirror's inner workings.
i love stoppy the stopwatch he's my favourite also imma be honest i screamed so excitedly about the stoppy the stopwatch confirmation (since like 5 people including me called it out lol) that im now super lightheaded and dizzy
my guess is that those early tracks which had those weird monotone audio channels likely had extra percussion that would later get overwritten by other samples, i.e. the flute and horn samples, so they were either redone or the channel was just disabled.
16:50 I’m almost positive Guiro sound is used in Kirby Mass Attack, specifically the exact same sound used in Tree to Tree (the best song). 18:56 actually, you can hear it faintly at the start of this track. I guess that makes it used.
Yeah the Güiro is used in the Speed Eaters song. I'm surprised that they didn't say channel 38 in the soundbank(resembling a flute-like instrument) is unused even though it is used in the tutorial song.
Maybe stoppy was supposed to be a "mini version" of the clock mini boss and threw music notes (like that boss, i don't remember its name) just how cookin from this same game is a "mini chef kawasaki"
14:47 looks like it would have been the invincibility icon for Kirby to me, it is possible that it is not or that it actually was planned to be but the stars around Kirby just remind me of how some game represents stars near/following the character as invincibility.
There’s a new cuphead anniversary update that shows never before seen art that isn’t even in the art book and it includes animation reels I think you should check it out! The update is only Xbox exclusive and I think PC exclusive as well
DROPPY!!!!!!! SWIMMING!!!!!!! that is sooo sososo cute!!! Droppy is one of my fave kirby creatures ever seeing them swim like that makes me sooo happy!
… was I the only one that had Kirby and the amazing mirror on switch for a while? I had it before 9/29/2023… I played it shortly after watching the beta video.
For the door frames i think the first one was maybe Carrot Castle and the Second one for Radish ruins. They kinda give me those vibes but i could be wrong lol
8:34 Wait they where going to refference how Kirby looked while using the Galaxia Blade in the anime cause he gains his sword hat when he uses the Galaxia sword in the anime weird how they removed the hat and made the refference not so obvious back then. 😮
Maybe the Wait ability was also used instead of the Sleep ability because if stoppy the stopwatch was unused, maybe that's why this wasn't used. It's just a theory
The "WAIT" icon is a leftover from Nightmare In Dreamland. Originally, when a player dies, they would have to for the other person to go through the next door before respawning in the next room.
I do hope to see the remaining Mario Kart lost bits for Wii and 8 Deluxe as well as Mario Party 7-10, Super, and Superstars, and the Mario sports titles you haven't covered. Also I thought you should give the Mario and Luigi games a look.
Happy anniversary! Cool video! Could you do a video called "All Sonic CD, 3&K, 3D Blast & Knuckles Chaotix Unused Context & Prototypes | LOST BITS [TetraBitGaming]"?
Hey @TetraBitGaming can you do a video on the Unused content and the stuff from the prototypes of Super Mario World. Thanks. Also Yoshi looks a little bit different too btw.

it's not like they can time travel to the release day so they can promote it while the game is in development
edit: changed so people don't get confused
If the game was complete when they reveal a game they would release it
if you mean before the game comes out, what do you expect them to do?

1-The Cake (who doesn't love one?)
2-This video which he is watching as he eats
Nice to see you cover my childhood game. Glad to have it back on nintendo switch so more people can experience it :).

Correct, it's just extra percussion that wasn't set up correctly, they don't have a Program Change event at all, making them not play in-game.
16:50 I’m almost positive Guiro sound is used in Kirby Mass Attack, specifically the exact same sound used in Tree to Tree (the best song).

that scraping sound at 16:50 is actually something called a guiro
