Finally, somebody who acknowledges the great things that the Sun and Moon series brought to the anime. It's nice to see somebody not immediately dismis this season due to the art style and the perceived character regression.

I am not surprised that Journeys is rank the lowest in the list. Even lower than Best Wishes. They should have had Team Rocket and Giovanni finally be stopped by Ash & his friends.

Pretty much my list as well but I'll be honest I stopped watching most after BW and recently started watching the things I missed like XY and Journeys and I still have the same list pretty much.
@@RheemQ I know I lot of people stopped during BW, but I don't think it was because of the series's flaws. I think it was burnout, which can happen at any series. Watching a series for a decade and a half will cause fatigue and judge a series too unfairly

I still, to this day, can't believe that the writers of Pokémon Journeys and Game Freak in Generation 9 decided to "Thanos" snap Ash Greninja away from existence.
The world travel formula of journeys was an amazing idea but the Execution was not good, all episodes felt disconnected and there were too many filler episodes. Horizons took that world travel formula and fixed all the flaws. All episodes feel connected, there are almost no filler episodes, this is the perfect start to a new era for pokemon anime
My favorite series is diamond and pearl, I think ash was the best in that show, I think Brock was hilarious in it, and I think Dawn is the best female protagonist My ranking would be 8:Journeys 7:Jotho 6:Kanto 5:Unova 4:X and Y 3:Sun and Moon 2:Hoenn 1:Diamond and Pearl Oshawott is amazing
I just feel like XY was the only series that grew up with me. It may have little to no references to the past series but at least it respected Ash's experience
I know it’s your rewrite, but I’d be beating myself over the head I didn’t try to give my opinion on what Ash’s team should’ve been in Journeys canon, and I hope it’ll give you some ideas that’ll help I think Ash’s team should’ve been Pikachu, Rillaboom, Mega Pidgeot, Kommo-o, G-Max Gengar, and Hisui Arcanine Pikachu’s a no brainer and Gengar’s usage in battle is honestly too perfect to get rid of in my opinion (though, I’d make him lose less). Rillaboom is a Pokémon as all know Ash should’ve had to represent Galar and Arcanine’s a Pokémon we’ve all wanted Ash to have in Kanto, so why not give him one to also represent Hisui… which got even less attention as a region than Galar Kommo-o is an interesting one, because I see the post potential in him personally as a replacement for Dragonite. I can see his endgame move set being Outrage, Poison Jab, Sky Uppercut, and Clanging Scales. Poison’s to fight fairy type, sky uppercut to give fighting coverage against those pesky dark types (he’s got Gengar’s back), Outrage because I can see a potential episode where Ash gets training from Gladion to master outrage the same way his Lycanroc did, and Clanging Scales both for a secondary Z-Move and because it can make for a good countershield on occasion I hope this helps, great video btw
My top 3 is 1 indigo league 2 XY 3 Sun and moon 1. Indigo was the start it honestly hit so hard and has a lot of funny moments (ash was such a savage to misty in most of it) 2. I started watching it and honestly I like how it shows a lot of different Pokémon that most of us would honestly leave in the tall grass if we played the games and the story is kinda good not as good as indigo though 3. Honestly it was good and had a lot of my favorite Pokémon but I just couldn’t deal with the look of ash and his friends it isn’t as top as the og indigo league

I appreciate him putting Sun and Moon and Horizons high on the list but some of these takes (Black and White being better than XY) are so bad. 😭 Like, I understand opinions are a thing and I'm not saying every list has to try to be objective (even though it is a bit frustrating since it feels nearly impossible to find unbiased rankings) but I think if they're shamelessly clickbaiting in their thumbnail then they deserve comments like this.
0. Unova- Haven't watched so can't give a valid ranking lol (mind you, I skipped it because of its reputation) 8. Journeys- There's a good story here, but it's not the one we got 7. Johto- When it's good, it's great, but way too much filler 6. Kanto- Even accounting for the fact he was just starting out, Ash was an idiot and got through mostly on luck; nostalgia filter is strong here 5. Hoenn- Average, doesn't stand out in my memory- everything it had, another series did better 4. Kalos- Best villain arc and companions but made weird narrative choices, also probably the worst paced series apart from Johto or Journeys 3. Alola- Weird, especially compared to previous series, but still very good 2. Horizons- We're probably only about 1/3 or even 1/4 of the way through, so I can't put it to #1 yet because I'm a pessimist (I have been disappointed so many times by anime that started strong but fumbled in the third act) but I am loving it so far! 1. Sinnoh- Best Ash and Pokemon, feels more like the culmination of previous series; all further series were more experimental and felt like we were watching different Ashes

Still think you can make a great rewrite of the Kanto Saga to the Sinnoh saga. Here are my suggestions for them if you want. Kanto 1. Ash earing his gum badges rather just given to him. 2. Have the Sevii Islands and the orange island be the same and Tracy being a Is temporary traveling Companion during it. 3. Ash's Kanto Pokémon that should be added: Ivysuar, Marowak, Nidoking, Gengar, Hypno, and a Eevee egg. 4. Keeping his Pokémon like Butterfree Primeape, Lapras, and Pidgeot 5. Give Ash more rivals other then Gary and Richie. Like AJ, Samurai, and Kiyo. 6. Ash vs Giovanni Jotho 1. Ash jotho Pokémon Typhlosion, Espeon, Tyranitar, 2. Ash's father 3. Pual and Silver being the same guy. 4. Ethan and Kris as rivals Hoenn 1. Ash hoenn Pokémon Flygon, and Crawdaunt 2. Rivals Brendan Roxanne and Wally. 3. A more accurate Team Aqua and Magma arc. Sinnoh 1. Ash having a Garchomp 2. Give Torterra some more victories
Yeah, I feel you when you said you liked BW because was the first you saw, I feel the same way for the Kanto portion of the OS, I didn't like Johto as much, and only watched it because Digimon Tamers was next, but I loved the Kanto saga and I remembered watching the Orange Island saga in german, because the anime in my country was so far behind, so I felt really special for knowing stuff that didn't happen yet, even if I didn't understand a thing xD Also Horizons will probably become my favorite when it's done, it's my comfort show right now... For me, my top would be DP, Kanto, Horizons, Hoenn, Johto and BW. Can't speak about the others because I didn't watch them.
Dude I haven't watched pokemon since XYZ and I fell off with Sun and Moon and dropped Journeys getting older. Pokemon Horizons makes me feel like I'm watching pokemon for the first time again. It's also my comfort show coming back to pokemon that's very refreshing
I'm surprised that the Black and White series was as far as "4" on the list. It's actually nice to hear that you have a guilty pleasure for something that's supposed to be unwatchable even if the series deserves better development like you did for the rewrites.
I do love your list, specially for the top 1 and 2, I want to share my personal list too! #1 Diamond and Pearl Series (This Series is mostly one of my 3 comfort Pokemon Series to watch when I feel down, specially because is the series that I watched from start to end when I was a kid, I remember the burger king toys back then and give me memories when I was a kid back on saturday days when I went to burger king to pick the pokemon diamond and pearl toys and TCG and come back home to watch a new Pokemon DP episode on cartoon network, and after that play my Pokemon Diamond and Pearl or Platinum game, and after that HGSS, really got me memories specially in a time that was bit hard to me back in school, and well now I grow up and still love this series because how much development put not only to the Main Trio but some side characters too, Ash character development feels like a good end here after beating Paul, Dawn how much she grew to become a coordinator and learn from Zoey, Paul the best rival in my opinion and not only that Ash and Dawn learn from each other so it can get inspired from a battle or contest and even Paul learn from Ash, I love Cynthia importance here to help Ash and Paul grow as a trainer, Brock having a complete final development to become a Doctor, Zoey and Candice´s Backstory, Volkner and Flint's Backstory the return of May and Brandon! Wallace Cup, the mini arcs like the camping arc, even the connection to the Lucario and Mistery of Mew movie with Ash's Aura, and the DP Movie Trilogy!, The Pokemon League was my favorite league of all, and the Japanese Opening and Endings give me so much nostalgia! #2 Sun and Moon Series (I love this series so much, specially for Ash and Lillie Characters, the Mallow and Stoutland episode, the Alolan League, Team Aether Arc, how Ash felt his friends and Kukui and Burnet as Family, love the interaction of Ash's friends, the world of Alola, I feel how much alive is and it connect so much to me, feeling to live in Alola like Ash and specially because is Ash's 2nd Home!, Gladion one of my favorite rivals and Guzma moments in the league) and how each ash's Pokemon got the time to shine! #3 XY Series (Yes, I do really love XY series mostly for this reasons, Greninja Arc, Clemont, Shota rivalry with Ash!, the music, the battles!, Ash looking more mature and his drip style outfit!, Team Flare Arc!, and the Mega Evolution Specials! they are lot of things that I love here, mostly I do enjoy the XY first part the most because they have fun filler, how Kalos Gang get along like a family and see Ash as the leader of the group and how he helps Serena, Clemont and Bonnie to grow as a character too) #4 Horizons (Same the series can change the placement but I really enjoy it, I already finish the Friede and Pikachu episode when they met, and can't wait to reach to the Paldean Gym Leader Arc since it looks fun and love to see the Paldean characters) #5 Ruby and Sapphire Series (I'm biased here specially for Advance Battle and Battle Frontier seasons but is the series that give me some hyper for many things like Misty's Return, Battle Frontier, May one of my favorite pokegirls, Ash using Squirtle, Charizard and Bulbasaur in the Battle Frontier, Dark Ash!, Max and Ralts Episode, James and Chimeco sad episode, May and Meowth time travel episode, they are many little but effective moments that still got in my mind) #6 Original Series (I love Season 1 and 2 for the fun and adventure, and I love Johto mostly for the league and Baby Lugia Arc but still the johto fillers is the problem) #7 Black and White Series (Still Love Dawn's Return and is way better than Dawn's JN Return, the Tournament Arcs and specially Meloetta Arc but this will be for a Pokemon Arc Ranking better) #8 Journeys (Mostly what you said is what I also think)
I almost agree with your ranking, the things I would change is put advanced generation over the original series and horizons last (because I haven’t seen it yet) otherwise it’s good.
Pokémon series from worst to best in my opinion: Dead last is black and white: I hated that they made ash a rookie again! And Iris being annoying! Ash,s team wasn’t super powerful, (minus krookidile cause he is cool!) team rocket were serious instead of being there annoying selves, got good arcs like the nimbasa subway arc and operation tempest. Trip and Cameron are ash,s worst rivals period! Trip tried to be a new Paul but loses to everyone else! Plus ash and trip,s battle at the unova league sucked! Cameron tried to be the next Ritchie but failed! I despise that he won against ash! And Vergil was a wasted character! And the team plasma arc sucked donkey balls! 7th Original series kanto and johto (orange islands included): nostalgia and iconic episodes, minus the fact that Brock and misty don’t do anything in it since it,s mostly relied on ash for its interesting episodes. Plus the indigo league gave ash an EMBARRASSING league loss! (I blame that on team rocket) the orange islands gave ash a redemption by beating drake! As for johto, one word:FILLER! The johto league was great though. (Except ash vs Harrison) 6th Advanced generation: forgettable but underrated! I didn’t like ash,s personality being cocky and impatience for gym badges! May is a Mr smarty pants flexing his knowledge on others! May is a great character! She became a trainer because she wanted to travel at first, but as soon contests came in and that became her goal. Brock was great as well but sadly irrelevant. And team aqua and magma sucked. 5th journeys. Episodic than the average Pokémon series. The darkest day arc should’ve been longer. The masters 8 had a terrible start with Alain losing to Leon and not battling ash. Leon destroyed diantha which is worse since the battle took place OFF-SCREEN!! Mid about ash vs Steven, iris vs Cynthia, ash vs Cynthia, and ash vs Leon we’re PEAK AWESOMENESS!!! (Minus the fact Cynthia didn’t use mega garchomp against ash) goh got a terrible ending for project mid! It fell off harder than the unova league! Chloe was a disappointment cause she should,ve followed in her father,s footsteps from the start! What made Chloe interesting was because she wanted to find her own path! So it feels like a waste of time with that conclusion. Then aim to be mid came in, terrible send off for ash! 4th:horizons. It’s real good. What,s holding it back is the two arcs aren’t consistent. The first was semi perfection, while the second is average. 3rd:diamond and pearl. AMAZING! Ash became a great trainer and Paul is the best rival for ash! Dawn was amazing too since she started her journey cocky, but soon changed to be a great coordinator! Brock got a solid conclusion for him becoming a doctor. The bad parts are that that dawn gets her second losing streak in galactic battles and then the annoying one year gap for ash,s final badge. Ash vs Paul at the league was COOL! As for Tobias,i hate him since he rented ash with legendaries! 2nd:xy. Ultra cool. Ash was a real strong trainer and ash-greninja was LEGENDARY! Serena was an endearing character. Clemont was a big wimp in the beginning but trained hard to be a serious gym leader. Bonnie was cute and her taking care of squishy was so wholesome! She,ll be a great trainer one day. Team flare was outstanding, Alain and sawyer were great rivals for ash. Showcases are not as good as contests cause of how rushed they felt. And the last season was very ash focused. The kalos league was great, even though it was rushed. But i wasn’t satisfied with ash releasing greninja and Serena becoming a coordinator at the end. 1st: sun and moon. ULTRA MEGA AWESOME! Ash and all of his friends got real good development! Gladion,s rivalry with ash growing during the nebby arc since ash was involved with gladion and Lillie,s family drama. Hau was disrespected, introduced last minute, had two Pokémon, got embarrassed by rowlet,and just started his island challenge by the time of the alola league. Ash vs gladion,ash vs Guzma and ash vs kukui were beyond awesomeness! Solid video btw.
Honestly, I don't care about the X and Y seasons. Compared to the other seasons, it's the least faithful to the games. It didn't include Dexio, Sina, Emma, Mimi, AZ and Eternal Flower Floette into the anime, the Ultimate Weapon was also scrapped from the anime, and Team Flare was introduced in the last season, and their hidden headquarters wasn't set in Geosenge Town. Also, they also didn't reintroduce Looker in the anime, referencing the Post-game. Lastly, even when Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire was introduced, they didn't reintroduce May and Max, not giving her Blaziken a mega evolution, and Zinnia and Aster didn't get any recognition, and the writers made Sawyer Ash's rival, instead of Wally. So, while that the X and Y seasons do have amazing animation and battle scenes, they don't get high marks for their writing.
Let me fix this 1. The reason behind why they didn't introduce many characters you mentioned there is because the anime always does this like when they didn't introduce Wallace the former champion of hoenn into AG anime (Plus why didn't you give it credits for introducing The Elite Three members?) 2. The Ultimate weapon is a Weapon to destroy all the humanity and the weapon has a terrible lore behind it you gotta remember it's a show for kids they can't show something like this 3. There's nothing wrong about team flare being introduced in the last season 4. literally nothing wrong about their headquarters being located anywhere 5. The reason why They didn't introduce may and max in Specials or Main anime is because I've noticed that the XY Anime don't wanted to Show ANY REFRENCE to the original series or any anime series, it wants to be it's own thing 6. The reason why SAWYER was the main rival for ash is because ASH CAN'T LOSE TO ANY GAME'S RIVAL So while XY Has Amazing animation you also gotta give credits to how badass & Good-looking they made Ash, The Alain's Character also being very good, Bonnie's relationship with Squishy, Ash-Greninja was Something unique we've never seen before, So In all Honesty I do care about XY&Z Anime it's one of my favourite Pokemon series!
Tbh if Zinnia and Aster were to be in the anime at all it wouldn’t have been the main seasons, it would’ve had to be some kind of bonus content between X&Y and S&M I agree with Wally tho, I wish they introduced him, but not as a replacement for Sawyer, Sawyer was great
Pokémon XY probably would have been higher if the writers did more than just mention Dawn without saying her name. Like have some return or at least be referenced by name & memory picture. If only the VA of May recovered from that darn throat disease. The Hoenn character would have been the first of Ash's traveling friends to have the first battle gimmick mechanic with her Blaziken. Instead of only Brock & Misty just for the 20th anniversary special in SM. It's weird that Journeys didn't show them with that again.
Honestly, Og Series might be the weakest to me. Its not very focus and it has so many missed opportunities that I cant even name. Misty and Brock arent developed, most of the gym battles are ass and possible rivals introduced early on dont even come back. Also Johto is just straight bad. Nothin very major happens with johto besides certain moments and the league. I think it was just cause they basically was able to do anything since it was posed to end after kanto but its still disappointing. Honestly think if black and white for the most part was just kanto, it would be perfect since it was basically a remake lowkey lmao

Okay I enjoy Pokémon a lot and everyone including you have your own opinion My favorite Pokémon series is 1. Xy OMG I love it😉it’s really nice and I enjoyed everything about it and with Ash being a little serious isn’t really bad honestly yes I love when he was feisty and sarcastic but it’s okay to see a little change now and then he was still Ash. 2 . Is the original series it was great and I enjoyed it a lot and it’s seriously funny. 3. Dimond And pearl Yes I like that series I have no complaints at all😎 4. Black and White yeah it isn’t really my top favorite but it’s not bad but I still enjoy it a lot. And finally 5 . Pokémon journey I don’t know why this series gets a lot of hare but I personally enjoy it but I love XY more 😉 Anyway journeys was okay to me and I like it. Now I haven’t put sun and moon on my list it’s because I’m not a fan of yes I have finished the series but my biggest problem was ash design and plus just hear me out it was abundantly boring why because I miss when they go out you know like in the other series with gym battles yes I understand that they wanted to change a little but it’s okay will never be my favorite but it’s okay 👍 now the Hoenn Region 🥱 never watching that again it’s not my favorite series at all I just don’t like it but it was okay.
If u like black and white, more power to you, but it's just as deserving of being on the bottom, if not more than journeys. At least when journeys did something right, it was more than enough to make up for whatever shortcomings came beforehand. What did black and white ever do to redeem ash or the series as a whole? Aside from giving us a Dawn return and making team rocket a proper threat, literally NOTHING Sure some of the gym battles were great and I did enjoy the tournament arcs we got barring the league, but they were never meant as a way to redeem the series. They were mostly there for plot and give us something to look forward to. The last season especially was a mess and just ruined this series further. They screwed up the unova league in every way possible outside of Ash vs Stephan, they made Charizard come back only for it to barely do anything, Iris cannot even get her redemption against Drayden, Team Plasma cannot even get a decent arc after their initial special got cancelled, and besides the tease for Kalos, the decolore islands were a huge waste of time. I honestly don't care what happened back then, they should have just given us the original team plasma storyline, especially since it was supposed to have a big impact on the series as a whole and drok what the script said, it looked FAR more promising than the mess they made rewriting everything. They could have put up a warning before the episode or toned down the violence. And I'm sorry, but ash's unova team overall sucked. Unfezant was lame, Oshawott was cute but also annoying and weak (sorry but that's just reality and I HATE comic relief), Pignite was a rip off of its predecessors that didn't even fully evolve, Boldore was weak, scraggy and Leavanny were solid but underutilized, Snivy was also decent but had so much wasted potential and we didn't even learn about her former trainer, and palpitoad was just not needed, even if he was decent. He was barely even there. Krookodile is the only member who actually matters thanks to his great set up and the fact that he's an ace. Meanwhile Journeys did have SOME redeeming qualities. They gave us two amazing battles with Ash vs Cynthia and of course Ash vs Leon to make up for screwing over most of the masters eight. They made Iris, someone I would gladly tear limb from limb for her treatment of Ash, actually tolerable to watch and made her champion of all things. Enough to make me even slightly respect her (but not to the point I will ever be a fan of her). They made up for not giving Ash a Lucario in Sinnoh by giving him one here, and he was borderline unstoppable at times. They made Diantha actually look good for once with how amazing she did against Lance. Plus a lot of the fanservice was pretty well executed for the most part. We also got two of the best returns with Lillie and Paul almost back to back. Much more right than BW ever did
Personally journeys failed to give me a sense of fulfillment besides ash vs Leon. I like BW more cause it was my first series, it’s a personal bias. That’s the reason I starters my rewrite series in the first place. I knew it could be better and so I redid it to make it more casual friendly and what I wanted from the show.

I agree with Xy it’s cool series but man is it weird. Like it’s characters all focus on Ash in a way, The bond-phenomenon is a huge plot device that honestly should have been for Pikachu based on its lore, and anything non battle related is just boring. At with other series we had fun filler, contests but in this series we don’t have any of that. Also ash’s team didn’t have my development & if they did it was hella rushed. I’m not saying Xy is a bad series at all but I will say it’s gets way to much praise and people only focus on the good when the bad stands out just as much. Overall I think it’s the 4th best series.
XY & Z being 4th is the most right position for me, yeah, it has a lot of enjoyable and good stuff, but it has some flaws in its writing as well, like, for example, The Kalos League was very rushed and short, lacked more ideas to make a great league, another case is the rivalry between Ash and Alain, I mean, Alain is a good character but being an Ash's Rival lacks in development, it was last minute, there's more flaws but I'll leave it at that, and hope they admit that XY has its mistakes too.

There’s actually a better version of Pokémon Journeys is made someone else which is a poketuber name Electro Pikachu he crew his own version of Pokémon Journeys and honestly, it’s way better than the well we have his version is not completed yet, but I recommend a good check it out. It’s really good. It would fix your sour mood on Pokémon Journeys other than your rewrite

It does have some issues but I still really enjoyed this series. Also, the animation is really good and the battles are fantastic.
My friend tell me that the reason why Ash JN team barely have development screen because people only care about battle,they dont care about non-battle thing,if they want to develop JN team, they should use their filler slot episode focusing on them, sirfetchd is my favorite of JN team because he see his development on screen compare with the other JN member, when lucario get mega, we don't see him when tried to mastering it, same as gengar, they said it so bad that JN is stop airing on japanese TV channel And its also ironic that goh project mew giving some galar pokemon more justice than Ash story Im glad HZ make terastal is not instant gimmick in anime, even after you can use terastal, you still need to mastering it, theres still room to grow
True but I've seen every episode I and whilst there was a handful I liked such as the storyline of Litten because MAN STOUTLANDS DEATH HIT HARD And even the episode with Tapu Finis Mist We didn't get as many good episodes as we should of Lana and Sophocles: under focused Hau: never even should of appeared Guzma: took WAY to long to show up especially since Team Skull had been appearing since Ep1 of alola Rotomdex: Insufferable 😑 Ashs design: looks like he aged backwards compared to Kalos 🙄 Alola league: Way to one sided and Ash only fought 1 of the only 3 trainers who could of cost him the league Gladion: league fnals should of been a 4v4 they did his Umbreon dirty only having him use Umbreon once all league in a match that there was 0% chance he'd lose dumb enough we don't even see what pokeball Umbreon has until Journrys (a Heal ball) Team Rocket: Delusional and not funny just like they've been since Sinnoh 🙄 Intro songs: Not memorable in the slightest a huge drop done from the Golden age of Kanto-Sinnoh If I could change Alolas anime I'd: Give Ashs companions more episodes and pokemon so that the league would be less one sided Remove Hau all together or actually make him competent if such a feat is even possible 🙄 Give Ash a classic Dexter pokedex because Rotomdex again insufferable Have Gary, Serena and May show up since I feel like we should of seen at least Gary and Serena in Alola (since Mays Jpn VA wasn't able to reprise the role) as well as at least show Serena has caught some new pokemon I'm honestly surprised her teams only changes in Journeys was that: Braixen had evolved Pancham had learned ice punch And Sylveon had learned quick attack Have Brock, Gary, Serena and Misty take part in the alola league or at least help the alola gang train for it Introduce Guzma not right out of the gate but still much sooner then the anime Ashs Team: not really sure if I'd remove anyone probably evolve Rowlet at least into Dartrix since the lack of Hau wouldn't cause Rowlet to eat an everstone But I would add a scene that I feel like should of been there when Stoutland dies in which Meowth visits Ash not to steal Pikachu but to make Ash promise to make Litten one of his strongest pokemon since its clear Meowth cared about Litten a lot

I really think Sun and Moon is great too but it is not my favourite that is still the original series. Sun and Moon was so great that i was so hyped for Sword And Shield (Journeys) But i was so disapointed at Journeys despite even that series have it awesome moments. My only nitpick of Sun and Moon is Ash having just five Pokemon and Team Rocket two i never liked that thing starting with X and Y.
Wow... XY is not higher, but at least is not in the bottom, overall I can say mostly the same, good series, but not perfect, it has some flaws and I wish XYZ is not being so rushed. B&W is still low in my list, but I appreciate that some stuff in this series is very enjoyable like the Tournament Arcs, Gym Battles (well, 6/8, because I hate Ash vs Elesa and Ash vs the Trio siblings, specially Ash vs Cilan) and even the Team Rocket arcs are really fun to watch, maybe you disagree with me but I loathe Ash's Oshawott (despite that it doesn't mean I'm going to hate the starter for this, I think it's passable, is just that I never going to enjoy the Ash one), as for the other Ash's Unova mons, Krookodile is easily the best for me, I enjoy Snivy, Leavanny is pretty cool, Boldore is... forgettable, Palpitoad too (I wish he could evolve and get more screen time), Unfezant... yeah, not good but I think is not the worst that the majority thinks, Pignite is controversial but I kinda enjoy him (just that still is not as good as Charizard or Infernape) and Scraggy is not for me. And Sund and Moon, maybe I used to hate but at the final results is pretty good than expected, we should be not affected by its drawing style, it can be solved by having a great direction, amazing story-telling and a outstanding writing, ah, also good use of fanservice for Misty and Brock, really satisfying.
Journeys at the bottom i agree. Too much kanto, less galar and even i was disappointed with the masters 8, alot of characters returns but some sucking. But i want ash to keep sirfetchd. It feels right. But my favorite series is xy followed by bw
the problem with journey i personally think is too little decent return because ash has met a lot of people (the pokegirls, rivals, gym leaders and more) also a lot of the time he was in kanto and the most important thing is that ash has too few galar pokemon in his possession in the other region he always has at least 5 the pokemon that ash carries besides pikachu are mostly kanto pokemon (dragonite and gengar) are not bad pokemon only ash should use more pokemon from galar
Xy is 5th this is unacceptable I now it's he's open in Sun and Moon I haven't really watched but it doesn't look too bad but I kind of say that XY has the best animation and one of the best story lines because I like that it's not too main character

It makes sense it is cuz he finally becomes a pokemon master and that was his goal during the entire anime. He workd hard in journeys to defeat Leon and Pikachu vs Charizard was the best 1vs1 anime ever. But i learned to move on from Ash and it isnt a very big deal for me.
I’m sorry I can’t take anyone who puts XY in trash seriously. It’s the most experimantal series that allowed Ash to feel complex emotions and grow up as a character. That’s not criticism, it’s lashing out at the praise.
And at least it didn't humiliate Ash in the league like BW and DP did, although apparently the BW writers were responsible for the biggest league loss outrage
WE WERE ROOOOOBED OF AN ALHOLA MOVIE WEEEEEE WERE ROOOOOBBED (of team rocket vs team plasma which the series was building up to) iris had great development too and i woulda loved to see like how it is in the script of ash getting caught by the gaurd. ANd much more was great abt it. Too bad the bad natural disater happened in japan, but i definaly thing they still couuld have published it without scrapping it BECAUSE it was done beforehand and if they post poned it for like 3 months i think that woulda been fine. And the leauge while it coudla been better i dont have any issues with it because the ash battles we got were pretty great, and the battle with ash and kakoi + tabu koko makes up for the isues others have with it like the whole battle vs ashs rowlet and Decidueye (now i didnt have the worse issue with this, and i liked they added rowlet sleeping cuz it happens in pokemon like burn and flinch, but we all know that rowlet did it because hes rowlet. Its in his character to sleep so i didnt have an issue with it and it made things get scary and funny afterwards. It letf me on the edge). It made me feel like she did deserve the price, compared to the other battlees. LIKE DANG ASH. THIS is why HE IS THE GOAT. Now when i tell u jurneys let me down so much. I kinda refuse to watch like any of the project mew stuff after trying to watch it. Suppose to be ashs time to shine again, but he kinda just seems like a grandpa sometimes. I am not surprised that Journeys is rank the lowest in the list. Even lower than Best Wishes. They should have had Team Rocket and Giovanni finally be stopped by Ash & his friends.

I still, to this day, can't believe that the writers of Pokémon Journeys and Game Freak in Generation 9 decided to "Thanos" snap Ash Greninja away from existence.

The world travel formula of journeys was an amazing idea but the Execution was not good, all episodes felt disconnected and there were too many filler episodes. Horizons took that world travel formula and fixed all the flaws. All episodes feel connected, there are almost no filler episodes, this is the perfect start to a new era for pokemon anime

I know it’s your rewrite, but I’d be beating myself over the head I didn’t try to give my opinion on what Ash’s team should’ve been in Journeys canon, and I hope it’ll give you some ideas that’ll help
I think Ash’s team should’ve been Pikachu, Rillaboom, Mega Pidgeot, Kommo-o, G-Max Gengar, and Hisui Arcanine
Pikachu’s a no brainer and Gengar’s usage in battle is honestly too perfect to get rid of in my opinion (though, I’d make him lose less). Rillaboom is a Pokémon as all know Ash should’ve had to represent Galar and Arcanine’s a Pokémon we’ve all wanted Ash to have in Kanto, so why not give him one to also represent Hisui… which got even less attention as a region than Galar
Kommo-o is an interesting one, because I see the post potential in him personally as a replacement for Dragonite. I can see his endgame move set being Outrage, Poison Jab, Sky Uppercut, and Clanging Scales. Poison’s to fight fairy type, sky uppercut to give fighting coverage against those pesky dark types (he’s got Gengar’s back), Outrage because I can see a potential episode where Ash gets training from Gladion to master outrage the same way his Lycanroc did, and Clanging Scales both for a secondary Z-Move and because it can make for a good countershield on occasion

0. Unova- Haven't watched so can't give a valid ranking lol (mind you, I skipped it because of its reputation)
8. Journeys- There's a good story here, but it's not the one we got
7. Johto- When it's good, it's great, but way too much filler
6. Kanto- Even accounting for the fact he was just starting out, Ash was an idiot and got through mostly on luck; nostalgia filter is strong here
5. Hoenn- Average, doesn't stand out in my memory- everything it had, another series did better
4. Kalos- Best villain arc and companions but made weird narrative choices, also probably the worst paced series apart from Johto or Journeys
3. Alola- Weird, especially compared to previous series, but still very good
2. Horizons- We're probably only about 1/3 or even 1/4 of the way through, so I can't put it to #1 yet because I'm a pessimist (I have been disappointed so many times by anime that started strong but fumbled in the third act) but I am loving it so far!
1. Sinnoh- Best Ash and Pokemon, feels more like the culmination of previous series; all further series were more experimental and felt like we were watching different Ashes

Yeah, I feel you when you said you liked BW because was the first you saw, I feel the same way for the Kanto portion of the OS, I didn't like Johto as much, and only watched it because Digimon Tamers was next, but I loved the Kanto saga and I remembered watching the Orange Island saga in german, because the anime in my country was so far behind, so I felt really special for knowing stuff that didn't happen yet, even if I didn't understand a thing xD
Also Horizons will probably become my favorite when it's done, it's my comfort show right now...

#1 Diamond and Pearl Series (This Series is mostly one of my 3 comfort Pokemon Series to watch when I feel down, specially because is the series that I watched from start to end when I was a kid, I remember the burger king toys back then and give me memories when I was a kid back on saturday days when I went to burger king to pick the pokemon diamond and pearl toys and TCG and come back home to watch a new Pokemon DP episode on cartoon network, and after that play my Pokemon Diamond and Pearl or Platinum game, and after that HGSS, really got me memories specially in a time that was bit hard to me back in school, and well now I grow up and still love this series because how much development put not only to the Main Trio but some side characters too, Ash character development feels like a good end here after beating Paul, Dawn how much she grew to become a coordinator and learn from Zoey, Paul the best rival in my opinion and not only that Ash and Dawn learn from each other so it can get inspired from a battle or contest and even Paul learn from Ash, I love Cynthia importance here to help Ash and Paul grow as a trainer, Brock having a complete final development to become a Doctor, Zoey and Candice´s Backstory, Volkner and Flint's Backstory the return of May and Brandon! Wallace Cup, the mini arcs like the camping arc, even the connection to the Lucario and Mistery of Mew movie with Ash's Aura, and the DP Movie Trilogy!, The Pokemon League was my favorite league of all, and the Japanese Opening and Endings give me so much nostalgia!
#2 Sun and Moon Series (I love this series so much, specially for Ash and Lillie Characters, the Mallow and Stoutland episode, the Alolan League, Team Aether Arc, how Ash felt his friends and Kukui and Burnet as Family, love the interaction of Ash's friends, the world of Alola, I feel how much alive is and it connect so much to me, feeling to live in Alola like Ash and specially because is Ash's 2nd Home!, Gladion one of my favorite rivals and Guzma moments in the league) and how each ash's Pokemon got the time to shine!
#3 XY Series (Yes, I do really love XY series mostly for this reasons, Greninja Arc, Clemont, Shota rivalry with Ash!, the music, the battles!, Ash looking more mature and his drip style outfit!, Team Flare Arc!, and the Mega Evolution Specials! they are lot of things that I love here, mostly I do enjoy the XY first part the most because they have fun filler, how Kalos Gang get along like a family and see Ash as the leader of the group and how he helps Serena, Clemont and Bonnie to grow as a character too)
#4 Horizons (Same the series can change the placement but I really enjoy it, I already finish the Friede and Pikachu episode when they met, and can't wait to reach to the Paldean Gym Leader Arc since it looks fun and love to see the Paldean characters)
#5 Ruby and Sapphire Series (I'm biased here specially for Advance Battle and Battle Frontier seasons but is the series that give me some hyper for many things like Misty's Return, Battle Frontier, May one of my favorite pokegirls, Ash using Squirtle, Charizard and Bulbasaur in the Battle Frontier, Dark Ash!, Max and Ralts Episode, James and Chimeco sad episode, May and Meowth time travel episode, they are many little but effective moments that still got in my mind)
#6 Original Series (I love Season 1 and 2 for the fun and adventure, and I love Johto mostly for the league and Baby Lugia Arc but still the johto fillers is the problem)

I almost agree with your ranking, the things I would change is put advanced generation over the original series and horizons last (because I haven’t seen it yet) otherwise it’s good.

Pokémon series from worst to best in my opinion:
Dead last is black and white: I hated that they made ash a rookie again! And Iris being annoying! Ash,s team wasn’t super powerful, (minus krookidile cause he is cool!) team rocket were serious instead of being there annoying selves, got good arcs like the nimbasa subway arc and operation tempest. Trip and Cameron are ash,s worst rivals period! Trip tried to be a new Paul but loses to everyone else! Plus ash and trip,s battle at the unova league sucked! Cameron tried to be the next Ritchie but failed! I despise that he won against ash! And Vergil was a wasted character! And the team plasma arc sucked donkey balls!
7th Original series kanto and johto (orange islands included): nostalgia and iconic episodes, minus the fact that Brock and misty don’t do anything in it since it,s mostly relied on ash for its interesting episodes. Plus the indigo league gave ash an EMBARRASSING league loss! (I blame that on team rocket) the orange islands gave ash a redemption by beating drake! As for johto, one word:FILLER! The johto league was great though. (Except ash vs Harrison)
6th Advanced generation: forgettable but underrated! I didn’t like ash,s personality being cocky and impatience for gym badges! May is a Mr smarty pants flexing his knowledge on others! May is a great character! She became a trainer because she wanted to travel at first, but as soon contests came in and that became her goal. Brock was great as well but sadly irrelevant. And team aqua and magma sucked.
5th journeys. Episodic than the average Pokémon series. The darkest day arc should’ve been longer. The masters 8 had a terrible start with Alain losing to Leon and not battling ash. Leon destroyed diantha which is worse since the battle took place OFF-SCREEN!! Mid about ash vs Steven, iris vs Cynthia, ash vs Cynthia, and ash vs Leon we’re PEAK AWESOMENESS!!! (Minus the fact Cynthia didn’t use mega garchomp against ash) goh got a terrible ending for project mid! It fell off harder than the unova league! Chloe was a disappointment cause she should,ve followed in her father,s footsteps from the start! What made Chloe interesting was because she wanted to find her own path! So it feels like a waste of time with that conclusion. Then aim to be mid came in, terrible send off for ash!
4th:horizons. It’s real good. What,s holding it back is the two arcs aren’t consistent. The first was semi perfection, while the second is average.
3rd:diamond and pearl. AMAZING! Ash became a great trainer and Paul is the best rival for ash! Dawn was amazing too since she started her journey cocky, but soon changed to be a great coordinator! Brock got a solid conclusion for him becoming a doctor. The bad parts are that that dawn gets her second losing streak in galactic battles and then the annoying one year gap for ash,s final badge. Ash vs Paul at the league was COOL! As for Tobias,i hate him since he rented ash with legendaries!
2nd:xy. Ultra cool. Ash was a real strong trainer and ash-greninja was LEGENDARY! Serena was an endearing character. Clemont was a big wimp in the beginning but trained hard to be a serious gym leader. Bonnie was cute and her taking care of squishy was so wholesome! She,ll be a great trainer one day. Team flare was outstanding, Alain and sawyer were great rivals for ash. Showcases are not as good as contests cause of how rushed they felt. And the last season was very ash focused. The kalos league was great, even though it was rushed. But i wasn’t satisfied with ash releasing greninja and Serena becoming a coordinator at the end.
1st: sun and moon. ULTRA MEGA AWESOME! Ash and all of his friends got real good development! Gladion,s rivalry with ash growing during the nebby arc since ash was involved with gladion and Lillie,s family drama. Hau was disrespected, introduced last minute, had two Pokémon, got embarrassed by rowlet,and just started his island challenge by the time of the alola league. Ash vs gladion,ash vs Guzma and ash vs kukui were beyond awesomeness!

Honestly, I don't care about the X and Y seasons. Compared to the other seasons, it's the least faithful to the games. It didn't include Dexio, Sina, Emma, Mimi, AZ and Eternal Flower Floette into the anime, the Ultimate Weapon was also scrapped from the anime, and Team Flare was introduced in the last season, and their hidden headquarters wasn't set in Geosenge Town. Also, they also didn't reintroduce Looker in the anime, referencing the Post-game. Lastly, even when Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire was introduced, they didn't reintroduce May and Max, not giving her Blaziken a mega evolution, and Zinnia and Aster didn't get any recognition, and the writers made Sawyer Ash's rival, instead of Wally.
So, while that the X and Y seasons do have amazing animation and battle scenes, they don't get high marks for their writing.
Let me fix this
1. The reason behind why they didn't introduce many characters you mentioned there is because the anime always does this like when they didn't introduce Wallace the former champion of hoenn into AG anime (Plus why didn't you give it credits for introducing The Elite Three members?)
2. The Ultimate weapon is a Weapon to destroy all the humanity and the weapon has a terrible lore behind it you gotta remember it's a show for kids they can't show something like this
3. There's nothing wrong about team flare being introduced in the last season
4. literally nothing wrong about their headquarters being located anywhere
5. The reason why They didn't introduce may and max in Specials or Main anime is because I've noticed that the XY Anime don't wanted to Show ANY REFRENCE to the original series or any anime series, it wants to be it's own thing
6. The reason why SAWYER was the main rival for ash is because ASH CAN'T LOSE TO ANY GAME'S RIVAL
So while XY Has Amazing animation you also gotta give credits to how badass & Good-looking they made Ash, The Alain's Character also being very good, Bonnie's relationship with Squishy, Ash-Greninja was Something unique we've never seen before, So In all Honesty I do care about XY&Z Anime it's one of my favourite Pokemon series!
Tbh if Zinnia and Aster were to be in the anime at all it wouldn’t have been the main seasons, it would’ve had to be some kind of bonus content between X&Y and S&M

Pokémon XY probably would have been higher if the writers did more than just mention Dawn without saying her name. Like have some return or at least be referenced by name & memory picture. If only the VA of May recovered from that darn throat disease. The Hoenn character would have been the first of Ash's traveling friends to have the first battle gimmick mechanic with her Blaziken. Instead of only Brock & Misty just for the 20th anniversary special in SM. It's weird that Journeys didn't show them with that again.

Honestly, Og Series might be the weakest to me. Its not very focus and it has so many missed opportunities that I cant even name. Misty and Brock arent developed, most of the gym battles are ass and possible rivals introduced early on dont even come back. Also Johto is just straight bad. Nothin very major happens with johto besides certain moments and the league. I think it was just cause they basically was able to do anything since it was posed to end after kanto but its still disappointing. Honestly think if black and white for the most part was just kanto, it would be perfect since it was basically a remake lowkey lmao

but in script, there it is different, sun & moon has very good narratives, while in XY there were some writings that were strange and questionable

I think from XY onward the Pokemon anime started to feel a lot like a modern anime than in the previous series.

At least when journeys did something right, it was more than enough to make up for whatever shortcomings came beforehand. What did black and white ever do to redeem ash or the series as a whole? Aside from giving us a Dawn return and making team rocket a proper threat, literally NOTHING
Sure some of the gym battles were great and I did enjoy the tournament arcs we got barring the league, but they were never meant as a way to redeem the series. They were mostly there for plot and give us something to look forward to. The last season especially was a mess and just ruined this series further. They screwed up the unova league in every way possible outside of Ash vs Stephan, they made Charizard come back only for it to barely do anything, Iris cannot even get her redemption against Drayden, Team Plasma cannot even get a decent arc after their initial special got cancelled, and besides the tease for Kalos, the decolore islands were a huge waste of time. I honestly don't care what happened back then, they should have just given us the original team plasma storyline, especially since it was supposed to have a big impact on the series as a whole and drok what the script said, it looked FAR more promising than the mess they made rewriting everything. They could have put up a warning before the episode or toned down the violence. And I'm sorry, but ash's unova team overall sucked. Unfezant was lame, Oshawott was cute but also annoying and weak (sorry but that's just reality and I HATE comic relief), Pignite was a rip off of its predecessors that didn't even fully evolve, Boldore was weak, scraggy and Leavanny were solid but underutilized, Snivy was also decent but had so much wasted potential and we didn't even learn about her former trainer, and palpitoad was just not needed, even if he was decent. He was barely even there. Krookodile is the only member who actually matters thanks to his great set up and the fact that he's an ace.
Meanwhile Journeys did have SOME redeeming qualities. They gave us two amazing battles with Ash vs Cynthia and of course Ash vs Leon to make up for screwing over most of the masters eight. They made Iris, someone I would gladly tear limb from limb for her treatment of Ash, actually tolerable to watch and made her champion of all things. Enough to make me even slightly respect her (but not to the point I will ever be a fan of her). They made up for not giving Ash a Lucario in Sinnoh by giving him one here, and he was borderline unstoppable at times. They made Diantha actually look good for once with how amazing she did against Lance. Plus a lot of the fanservice was pretty well executed for the most part. We also got two of the best returns with Lillie and Paul almost back to back. Much more right than BW ever did
Personally journeys failed to give me a sense of fulfillment besides ash vs Leon. I like BW more cause it was my first series, it’s a personal bias. That’s the reason I starters my rewrite series in the first place. I knew it could be better and so I redid it to make it more casual friendly and what I wanted from the show.

I agree with Xy it’s cool series but man is it weird. Like it’s characters all focus on Ash in a way, The bond-phenomenon is a huge plot device that honestly should have been for Pikachu based on its lore, and anything non battle related is just boring. At with other series we had fun filler, contests but in this series we don’t have any of that. Also ash’s team didn’t have my development & if they did it was hella rushed. I’m not saying Xy is a bad series at all but I will say it’s gets way to much praise and people only focus on the good when the bad stands out just as much. Overall I think it’s the 4th best series.

XY & Z being 4th is the most right position for me, yeah, it has a lot of enjoyable and good stuff, but it has some flaws in its writing as well, like, for example, The Kalos League was very rushed and short, lacked more ideas to make a great league, another case is the rivalry between Ash and Alain, I mean, Alain is a good character but being an Ash's Rival lacks in development, it was last minute, there's more flaws but I'll leave it at that, and hope they admit that XY has its mistakes too.

It’s really good. It would fix your sour mood on Pokémon Journeys other than your rewrite

My friend tell me that the reason why Ash JN team barely have development screen because people only care about battle,they dont care about non-battle thing,if they want to develop JN team, they should use their filler slot episode focusing on them, sirfetchd is my favorite of JN team because he see his development on screen compare with the other JN member, when lucario get mega, we don't see him when tried to mastering it, same as gengar, they said it so bad that JN is stop airing on japanese TV channel

If I could change Alolas anime I'd:
Give Ashs companions more episodes and pokemon so that the league would be less one sided
Remove Hau all together or actually make him competent if such a feat is even possible 🙄
Give Ash a classic Dexter pokedex because Rotomdex again insufferable
Have Gary, Serena and May show up since I feel like we should of seen at least Gary and Serena in Alola (since Mays Jpn VA wasn't able to reprise the role) as well as at least show Serena has caught some new pokemon I'm honestly surprised her teams only changes in Journeys was that:
Braixen had evolved
Pancham had learned ice punch
And Sylveon had learned quick attack
Have Brock, Gary, Serena and Misty take part in the alola league or at least help the alola gang train for it
Introduce Guzma not right out of the gate but still much sooner then the anime
Ashs Team: not really sure if I'd remove anyone probably evolve Rowlet at least into Dartrix since the lack of Hau wouldn't cause Rowlet to eat an everstone
But I would add a scene that I feel like should of been there when Stoutland dies in which Meowth visits Ash not to steal Pikachu but to make Ash promise to make Litten one of his strongest pokemon since its clear Meowth cared about Litten a lot

I really think Sun and Moon is great too but it is not my favourite that is still the original series.
Sun and Moon was so great that i was so hyped for Sword And Shield (Journeys) But i was so disapointed at Journeys despite even that series have it awesome moments. My only nitpick of Sun and Moon is Ash having just five Pokemon and Team Rocket two i never liked that thing starting with X and Y.

Wow... XY is not higher, but at least is not in the bottom, overall I can say mostly the same, good series, but not perfect, it has some flaws and I wish XYZ is not being so rushed. B&W is still low in my list, but I appreciate that some stuff in this series is very enjoyable like the Tournament Arcs, Gym Battles (well, 6/8, because I hate Ash vs Elesa and Ash vs the Trio siblings, specially Ash vs Cilan) and even the Team Rocket arcs are really fun to watch, maybe you disagree with me but I loathe Ash's Oshawott (despite that it doesn't mean I'm going to hate the starter for this, I think it's passable, is just that I never going to enjoy the Ash one), as for the other Ash's Unova mons, Krookodile is easily the best for me, I enjoy Snivy, Leavanny is pretty cool, Boldore is... forgettable, Palpitoad too (I wish he could evolve and get more screen time), Unfezant... yeah, not good but I think is not the worst that the majority thinks, Pignite is controversial but I kinda enjoy him (just that still is not as good as Charizard or Infernape) and Scraggy is not for me. And Sund and Moon, maybe I used to hate but at the final results is pretty good than expected, we should be not affected by its drawing style, it can be solved by having a great direction, amazing story-telling and a outstanding writing, ah, also good use of fanservice for Misty and Brock, really satisfying.

the problem with journey i personally think is too little decent return because ash has met a lot of people (the pokegirls, rivals, gym leaders and more) also a lot of the time he was in kanto and the most important thing is that ash has too few galar pokemon in his possession in the other region he always has at least 5 the pokemon that ash carries besides pikachu are mostly kanto pokemon (dragonite and gengar) are not bad pokemon only ash should use more pokemon from galar

It makes sense it is cuz he finally becomes a pokemon master and that was his goal during the entire anime. He workd hard in journeys to defeat Leon and Pikachu vs Charizard was the best 1vs1 anime ever. But i learned to move on from Ash and it isnt a very big deal for me.

Yeah just a way to entice audiences. XY is far from my favorite but objectively it’s one of the best and the one I tend to recommend to friends
And at least it didn't humiliate Ash in the league like BW and DP did, although apparently the BW writers were responsible for the biggest league loss outrage
So far, I would rank pokemon horizon as one of the weakest series. Too slow paced.

iris had great development too and i woulda loved to see like how it is in the script of ash getting caught by the gaurd. ANd much more was great abt it. Too bad the bad natural disater happened in japan, but i definaly thing they still couuld have published it without scrapping it BECAUSE it was done beforehand and if they post poned it for like 3 months i think that woulda been fine. That just makes black and white decent. Not amazing. Annnd i think this woulda made up for the moments ash was dumb or the writers were dumb. Even if pickachu couldnt use electric atacks cuz of the lightnign, there shouldnt be a reason why he lost to snive. its okay cuz i do enjoy the characters and im not too annoyed abt iris and she gets better im pretty sure or it just feels like a norm for her to act the way she does. And when it becomes the norm but better, u dont hate it as much idk lol
ALHOLA IS AMAZING THE OTHER SERIES ARE GREAT BUT ALHOL IS DIFFERENT< INVENSTS NEW THINGS WITH GOOD PACONG AND ARCS, AND WHEN THERE WAS FILLER IT WAS ACUALLY GREAT. ALSO THE SERIES IS AMAZING AT PROTRAYING CONTUNING THEMES INDIRECTLY LIKE FAMILY AAAAAAAAND ALHOLA MAKES IT SO YOU GET INESTED SO U LOVE AND CARE FOR ASHES FRIENDS AND HIS SECOND FAMILY. AND THATS WHAT MAKES THE SERIES SO OGREAT, IT GETS YOU TO LOVE IT AND ITS CHARACTERS SHOWING HOW WELL ITS WRITTIN. I loved all of the arcs too!!
It was sleep back in the day but oh man many many many poeple turned away from it have watched it since ashs gone and they all pretty much agree. Amazing and im so glad it was the 2nd anime series i watcched til the end, first being diamond and peral. Now is it perfect. Pretty much yes. But i think more epsiodes woulda done it well. And the leauge while it coudla been better i dont have any issues with it because the ash battles we got were pretty great, and the battle with ash and kakoi + tabu koko makes up for the isues others have with it like the whole battle vs ashs rowlet and Decidueye (now i didnt have the worse issue with this, and i liked they added rowlet sleeping cuz it happens in pokemon like burn and flinch, but we all know that rowlet did it because hes rowlet. Its in his character to sleep so i didnt have an issue with it and it made things get scary and funny afterwards. It letf me on the edge). It made me feel like she did deserve the price, compared to the other battlees. LIKE DANG ASH. THIS is why HE IS THE GOAT.
Now when i tell u jurneys let me down so much. I kinda refuse to watch like any of the project mew stuff after trying to watch it. Suppose to be ashs time to shine again, but he kinda just seems like a grandpa sometimes. LIKE BrOOO ;sob; i still love him but man do i hate chloe she also was pretty mean to ash like side eyeing him just to join him, not have a charater arc, and basically go on a jounry just to realize evvee was perfect but it took forever brooo and goh we dont talk abt goh
