I look forward to your videos! I’m in a wheelchair and I find it hard to work from my bed or wheelchair. Thanks to you I was able to make earrings on my Joy! Thank you!
I’m so happy to hear that, Sonia! You made my day. I really should make some more Joy videos. I love that little machine and I know so many other crafters do, too.
I am also handicapped but lucky for me my home health aide is more than happy to help me. So glad I purchased the Cricut Joy and Maker3, it really makes me happy to create something and keeps my mind sharp. Never surrender is my new motto!

Great video. To reduce the number of mats, you can use tip
Of moving all the circles on one mat and using different pieces of htv. So I like to line each set of cut items on a number line to keep it easy to match.
Thanks for sharing that tip! I like to do that, too! When I make a video, I try not to add too many different steps to keep it as simple as possible. I have shared that technique in other shorter videos, though. It's a great time saver. Thanks again. :)
Love this. I can't wait to make one. Question though, when I do iron on vinyl on faux leather, it comes off, Any suggestions on what to seal it with. Thank you. Love watching your tutorials. You explain everything really well.
Hi, thanks for your comment! It's not typical for your iron on vinyl to come off, so I would suggest to check for the following:
Is the faux leather smooth, or does it have a texture or a thick gloss coating of some kind?
Are you using enough heat and pressing time?
Are you using enough pressure?
You really shouldn't need to seal vinyl onto faux leather, and it would end up cracking over time anyway since the faux leather is flexible. So I would try to make some adjustments to your pressing to get the vinyl to stay on better.
If you want to send me some photos so I can help you troubleshoot further, you can send them to me at support@amyromeu.com. I'm always happy to help!
I would really like to lean how to make these with names. Thank you
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll definitely do that!
💕
Thanks for watching, Melinda! So happy you like this project!
I have the explore air 2 (purchased in 2015, Anna Griffin edition) there is no way to choose material type in design space. Never has. The dial on the machine is the only way to choose. The only choices I have are custom or bonded fabric. 😩
Hi, Mary! I tell Explore Air 2 users they need to turn the dial to custom first. Then they can search for the Faux Leather (Paper Thin) setting. :) Would you please try that and let me know if it works for you?
Hi! I loved your video. Very beginner friendly. I was wondering if tacky glue is a good option?
Hi, Virginia! I'm glad you liked this video! Thanks for watching! Yes, I think Tacky Glue would work, the key is pressing the glued item under something heavy and flat like a book for a few hours. If you try Tacky Glue, let me know how it goes!
Amy, why do you use curved scissors for trimming the faux leather? What is the advantage to using them versus just regular scissors?
Hi, Pye! I like the cutting angles I can get when I use them. Also if I need to trim up the a curved edge of a piece of faux leather, they help me get smooth curved cuts. :) Of course it's personal preference!
Where do you get your key rings and tassels from and what size are they?
Hi, great question! I get them from Amazon! All of the exact materials I used are linked in my video description for your convenience. :)
Loved watching this process. Can this be done on the cricut joy?
Sorry I just saw your notes that I can use the cricut joy. I can't wait to try it.
Hi, Pat! Yes, absolutely!
My pleasure! I can't wait to see what you create!
