I love Beech bend @ bowling green Kentucky. I’ve been to a couple NMRA events back in the pre 2010 years (can’t recall what years). I loved it and got to see sooooooooo many mustangs of all shapes, models, years, colors, and well you get it.
It's nice to see mustangs with real Ford motors in them don't know if I like roll racing though I like burnouts they are an important part of drag racing to each his own I guess but seeing all those classic Ford Mustangs is a real treat
It's amazing how people are still shocked at what a basic carb setup can do! I'm a foxbody guy myself. Been into it since street racing back in the 1990s when these cars ruled the streets. To GMs credit they gave team team Ford a worth opponent and called it the Grand National. Fortunately the VAST Foxbody aftermarket helped out big-time! Those were the good-ole days!! Getting ready to break out the old girl. 1989 notchback, full interior T-5 car. Has a dialed in Holley 650 double pumper hp CARB, performer rpm style intake, World Products Windsor Sr. heads milled down to yield 10.5:1 compression. (For those not in the know they and tfs were the standard back then, very few people used the substandard GT40 heads, especially for NA.) A refreshed 1987 short block with the factory forged pistons. A lunati 50514 cam, (long before TFS copied it and called it there stage 1). She also has 3:73 gears with an Auburn posi. For added insurance 125 nitrous. The car is in the 11's and very streetable For the fraction of the cost of what people are putting in today's cars. Old school rules, and can GET THE JOB DONE as well. I still have my A/C also.😎
11s us moving. 👍. I run deep 10s in a fully ewuipped 84 Monte SS driven 69 miles to and from track. Pw/pl spare tire. Stock suspension Vortec heads. Runs 11s on engine with 3.73s @3600#. Guess their was no Foxbodies in Flint in the late 80s early 90s. Ck it our on www.diabolicalracing.com ir #10kskut. Built in garage with customers junk. Body from TX. Thanks for the share.
That little blue mustang wasnt bad but they are missing it somewhere. I had a 67 with a 306, flat tops , ported cast iron 351 heads, basically the same cam non roller, long tubes, aluminum intake, and a Holley 600 double pumper with a c4 that put 250/250 to the wheels. Maybe it's just me but I expected more.
Years ago I had almost an identical car and setup. I am a GM guy but loved 4 eyed coupes. Bought one and did the exact motor combo though I used the e-cam. I put a road demon 625, performer rpm, hei, and 1 5/8 longtubes with a flow master catback. Put in an 8.8 with 4.10's and it sat on pony wheels. Such a good sounding, solid running car. Had a little dent behind the driver's door, but a good car other than that. Miss that thing and I had a hard time selling it. Sold it for $1800. Regret it everyday.
That is literally just like the one I want so badly!!! It's the four-eyed foxes that I adore so very much :) I was born in '86 so I _really_ want an '86 four-eyed fox...
That titanium silver notch is really nice. To me being old school I think those cars with that color look better with chrome, like the 93 Cobra wheels or a set of chrome or polished aluminum Weld Racing big and littles. I don't think blacked out wheels should be on everything like you see nowadays. Still it's a nice car.
@@FoxcastMedia gotcha. Just the notch then. I was curious because I just picked up a 93 silver convertible with blue interior. However it's had a really bad respray.

Man, I wish Skyler would get rid of that plate system. At least he has the Boss intake that will tolerate the wet flow of the nitrous and fuel better than others. Hopefully he has a good nitrous controller also. A port injection nitrous system solves many problems with a plate system on a Coyote. You'll still need to play with delaying the nitrous slightly and ramp in both nitrous and fuel. You'll have far better distribution, make more power and actually be safer(especially with a stick and it's loading up) Port injection does seem to carry better down the track, even without a pusher system, unlike a plate that falls off sooner without a pusher. Great vid and love that little silver notch. Great to see the kid with the simple old school set up.
Had a 79 original 200 straight six car, 302 converted, original 6 cyl trans with v8 bellhousing and hvy accumulator spring, stock rear gear. Would scare most folks back then with small cam and basic bolt ons. Love the grills in those cars!!! GOD BLESS!!!

dont count the carbed 302 out!! Good video!
I swear fox bodies are the most common car in Kentucky. I lived there from '97 to '07 and saw them everywhere. Even had an old '82 notchback myself.
Blue 81 was decent on the dyno with T5 and 7.5 not breaking anything. Is he near the limit for what that driveline will handle?
Super thanks for filming this event so us that cant go get to see what goes on.
A little valve float never hurt anyone! Lol! Sweet car indeed.
My beehive springs woulda controlled it to 7000+ with 260lbs at peak lift? Why run sorings designed in the 60s.

300 horses in these cars goes a long way. People forget how light and nimble they are.
In the 90s that little 302ci would hurt a lot of feelings!
Explorer Short Block? I’m sure he used the GT40 heads...
It’s actually a Heads, Cam Intake Car.. 12s easy 11s with a sticky tire.
