- Met up with the owner of this 5.0 and had a few excellent runs! It was a strong running car for sure.

Awesome! I've been hunting for a new 5.0 to run ever since I got the LS (Squirter Project) into my '92 Camaro. But from the looks of this I would probably lose at this point. Either way, it would be a fun run! Great video man and thanks for sharing!
91FireAm Thanks for the warning! I always try to post up the results, win or lose. Its all in fun and for us all to learn from. I'm diggin the car and the videos man. Keep'em coming!
The close ones are always the best. I've seen this 5.0 run other cars and it's no joke. I'm happy with how the bird performed.
very nice runs.im sure that 5.0 wasnt expecting such a close race
awesome build on the ol Fire chicken..keep up the good work and keep the videos coming
NOICE! Love that setup; clean, smoking hot 91, brother. Outstanding work…
The LQ9 was the MAX version of the vortex. It came in the chevy and gm trucks as well. I can also tell you, a 99 and 2000 lq4 had iron heads and the 2001 and up came with aluminum head. The 2001 and never got a slightly bigger cam and a different tune.
What type of transmission you use?
That mustang probably had the mt82 manual transmission, they suck.
pound for pound what is better than an LQ4? I see these things with various upgrades, boosts either totally crapping on whatever their up against or barely losing to something way more built OR a rice rocket with a twin turbo LS swap
I thought that was a LQ9 that's a truck motor.
Lol I will like to run both of them but not from a roll only from dig Dodge weak spot
