How much money did you spend on the motor? We have a 86 and 88 Trans am in the garage and this LS is really sick!!! DO you have a list of the mods done to the engine? What transmission and differential set up do you have?
I regret every day selling my 88 blue/silver TA and it was just a 305 TBI….it was my first car and I felt like the coolest guy around when I had this car.

@@no-replies well it hasn’t seen much driving time. Once it was done drove fine for a couple of days then just been problems since, had a bad wire connections not letting the driver side cylinders fire, the fuel filter/regulator wasn’t doing its job right and the stall converter went bad and it’s the last it needs but I haven’t gotten to it yet so it’s just in my garage collecting dust now. I actually had bought that instrument cluster and it looked great but decided I wanted to keep it looking original.

Why would you swap in a 5.3L when you could have gone with a 5.7L?

It’s all preference. It’s usually not cost effective to modify the 6 cylinder since you won’t make a whole lot of power, but as long as you’re happy.
