Maestro Domingo was in the middle of filming La Traviata, among other things, at that time. I never became fond of how 'other entertainers' used him and wasted his voice for such events. I am sure they paid him well, but I do not blame Madame Domingo's concerns that there was too much demand for her husband's talent.
Carol Burnette was not just another entertainer, she was a class act in comedy and at the time this skit was done, it was to help promote Placido Domingo’s career, to help get his name out to millions that would have ever known who he was.

Thanks to that excursions, he was able to open the world of classical music and great voices to so many people. And Seniora Domingo was wrong...over 80 now he still is singing.😊

Definitely more than 4 languages. He speaks Spanish, English, French, German, Italian and maybe Portuguese.....
