My clamps are like yours and don't have the thumbscrew, so this was EXACTLY what I needed. Short and sweet, and you did an excellent job managing to do it all one handed, while holding the camera steady! You are a better man than I, sir! 😁😁😁 EDIT: Apparently that pin is called a "roll pin" in the US, for folks like me who're looking for the safest way to remove one (haven't found it yet). I have 6 of these clamps and I don't want to damage any of them, haha.

Do you think we could drill a small hole second on the other end for that grommit/'roll pin' to sit in, so that when you change it back, the handle cannot come off the end? Im thinking you'd match the spacing for where the current one with the screw is, but instead on the other side. So the end result is a roll pin hole AND a hole for the screw on both sides. Would drilling that hole affect the strength of the bar when using?

Pin won't come out. I think I have a different version.
