other games was like "shii thats op so we remove it" digital extremes just gave the metaphorical and biggest middle finger to those statements with warframe and just said "looks fun, will be fun"
I personally used the wall-walk glitch where you just barely start wallwalking caused you to launch crazy far - was easily superior to anything else just not as easy to pull off - angle and required space etc. but I loved it. Sadly that no longer works :(
And they fucking sucks. Why are you all so fucking turned on about a cringy teenager and a former big busted alien creature telling us lies? I have gone thru the story twice on two different characters and to anyone thinking the story is good... READ SOME BOOKS you ignoramuses.
@@Varangian_af_Scaniae Maybe you should learn that what people like is completely subjective. Stop whining about it and accept that people have different opinions, you ignoramus.
Hey! I'm one of the voice actors for Warframe (Kela De Thaym). I'm also a player and avid fan. The best thing about this game is the community. I'd be nowhere in this game without my clan and the friends I've made. It's great to see such cool indepth review!
Sketch_ Smith I made the mistake of bringing a Seer pistol, and a Paris the first time I fought her. I had Inaros... but, that only delayed the inevitable.
Know that? Type in Wyrmius as the email adress in the login screen, leave the pasword blank, and tada! Minigame. You can also acces to the minigame by choosing the Z loadout of Wyrm under Appearance. Zephyr have one too.

@@dfranco_p Well no content in warframe requires money except for cosmetics. Destiny requires an entire expansion included with the base paid game to give adequate content.
I just want to add to this a little bit: the only content in the game that has to be bought is tennogen and prime access cosmetics. It's just a shame that new players quit, assuming that everything is pay to win before looking it up or finding out how to buy the blueprints.
wait, the mass genocide is before the warframe endgame tho :D like I pride myself on having 1000kills per hour played and I know there are people with more :D
First up, if you want to sign up to play Warframe, you can use this referral code to get some free stuff: www.warframe.com/signup?referrerId=586a5e3e3ade7f27084d4066 Second, I wanted to issue some corrections: 1) There are raids- I just didn't know about them. I did some research on this but I confused them with something else, so I got this part wrong. 2) Oberon Prime is NOT behind a paywall. Again, I mixed this up with something else (where certain primes get 'vaulted' for a time). You can earn the new Prime Warframes for free from the start 3) The new Open World area due in September WILL NOT be procedurally generated. I read that the genesis of this was procedural, but I later learned that they settled on a hand-crafted lanscape. There's probably other things I got wrong. It just goes to show you how much is in this game, since even after 70 hours (85 now!) I'm still learning about new features every day. Thank you for all the support. Really glad you enjoyed the review, and if you aren't yet a Tenno, I hope you give it a try :)
Just as heads up and this is coming from Steve who's the head of Digital Extremes. Plains of Eidolon is the beginning of the open world for Warframe, yes it will be limited to a huge massive landscape but it is confirmed that this will be applied to the ENTIRE solar system, each planet will have its own open world landscape. Basically Plains of Eidolon is just the beginning, there is much more incoming and is already confirmed.
On Tennocon they said this is only the beginning and in the Devstream was Steve itself who said there will be more for the entire Solar System. Watch it again.
what i learned about Warframe: Step 1: you start to walk Step 2: you discover the sprint button Step 3: you learn how to fly and thats not only the learning curve
As a relatively new player, one of the biggest learning curves of Warframe is learning about the individual features of the game. There’s so damn much! Movement is the first, then you gotta learn about loadouts, then mods, then crafting, then grinding, then sentinels and kubrows, the vernacular, the difference game modes, the special events, the in-game economy, the free roam areas, the near-constant updates, the intricate story, fashion frame, railjacks and whatever The Duviri Paradox is gonna bring.
@@silenceburns1336 I already saw an Ash Prime who was like, mr5 going through Saturn with a Soma Prime. He got it from Tennogen, it's honestly weird as fuck
Skill Up: I got so bored and frustrated playing destiny 2 the other day I almost uninstalled it, I sat down at my computer and noticed your video on Warframe. When you laid out exactly what Warframe actually is I was fucking blown away, i had to pause the video multiple times when you said you can actually be inside and interact with your ship and none of the weapons are re-skins and on top of all this color customization is not one and done, I thought to myself "You got to be fucking kidding me" I felt so ripped off by destiny 2 and games like them who offer far less options and seem to take the easy and lazy way out and just slap a fresh coat of paint on a game that I have already played for 3 years with over 1,900 hrs invested. I immediately started downloading and jumped in when it was done, all I have to say is WOW!!! thank you so much Skillup for turning me onto this incredible hidden gem of a game, Warframe fucking rock's!!! I'm so mad at myself for not finding it sooner, I have had zero desire in playing destiny 2 and have been sinking large chunks of my time into Warframe, a truly unique gaming experience. When I play Warframe I constantly get a sense that the developers truly care and that they want to provide a rich and deep experience for everyone, and its a free game, what the fuck?!?! How can I live on the same planet were a $100 game that gets boring in two weeks and a free to play game has kept me wrapped with attention for well over a month, with no signs of slowing down? That's not to say I am done with destiny, destiny will always hold a special place in my heart, but it is truly nice to find a healthy alternative like Warframe, which has filled all of my space ninja needs and become a breath of fresh air.
You have seen the light and I welcome you, Tenno. If PS4 is version you play then I'd be more than happy to show you any of the ropes you have yet to learn.
At first , warframe to me is like some kind of addictive stuff like weed or whisky etc, I mean it is good but not impossible to stop playing it . but when I played more and more , it is becoming a disease that stuck inside my head , I can’t stop thinking about warframe ! I’m Constantly thinking about the modding of weapons and frames and I just can’t stop thinking about it , warframe is the most addictive Grinding game I’ve ever played!
If you like customization, you can also buy some skin(with platinum) that you liked, and for sure, change the colours os each part of that skin, if you want. A great thing that you'll see in the game, is the individuality of you colours. You can actually recognise a player just seeing the colours that he chose. Or the can that he enter. If you want a game that make you addict to it, just play Warframe.
The biggest thing about Warframe and paying money for it is that the premium currency (the currency that is bought with real money) can be traded amongst other players. This means you can grind for a certain type of item sought after by other players (some of these items aren't even that hard to get) and you can sell these items to players for the premium currency. The trading system is one of the most important and intregal parts of Warframe. Very surprised Skill Up didn't mention it. You can earn hundreds of dollars worth of Platinum (Warframes premium currency) with out actually spending any money yourself.
well i have 1100H there is pp with a lot more so don't get me wrong i said cause of that many hours almost 50% of them i passed trading or speaking with pp or undestanding new things of the game x'D so yes it's really a big part of the game if you wanna be FULLY free to play and with about 550~ playing (or so say my ingame profile stats xD) and i'm still enjoying new things . PS: I love the lore of the game xD. PS2: if you enjoy trading there is a lot of speculation in deep trading >,
WELL SAID! You don't HAVE to PAY for ANYTHING if you trade, all you have to do is PLAY! The balance is so GENIUS, that I don't MIND spending money so that they can keep making this better and better!
There is only a handful of exclusive items not obtainable in game. I can think of prime accessories packs and renown ps4 packs. Its only cosmetics though, so no actual content is inaccessible.
I have one HUGE tip for you in warframe. go under options and turn off "color correct". it makes the whole game look 100X better and removes the weird green haze, honestly the beauty of warframe is hidden behind color correct. Please thumbs up so others can know. Turn it off in any void mission for the most noticeable difference.
I respectfully disagree, on the grounds that that setting actually encompasses a whole host of weird graphical tweaks like DoF, and various lighting and smoothing effects. I _do_ think the color balance in the game looks slightly better for the most part with color correction off, it gets rid of the dumb fullscreen color tint when you're using an invisibility power, and it can be a fairly intense memory hog so if you're having performance issues it's also something to consider. It makes certain areas, the interior of your ship in particular, look like ass when it's off though.
I'm siding with "turn it off" because the most important part of the game is hindered by it... I mean, SERIOUSLY WHY IS THERE NO PURPLE IF COLOR CORRECT IS ON!!! (Spitefully looks through all the palletes in the game)
To each his own. I prefer having it on because the game looks a bit drab without it. You also miss out on cool effects like Ash's "black, white and red" bladestorm mode and Valkyr's Hysteria effects etc. I occasionally turn it off from time to time when I'm using Invis Loki a lot but that's it. So test it for yourself, folks. See what you prefer. Totalbiscuit, for instance, was suggested the same thing but he turned it back on after a while.
around 170 hours in i got to mastery rank 10 hadn't spent a penny and felt like i'd robbed someone. seriously, this game gives all the enjoyment of a triple A games for free. when i do give DE my money its because they earned that shit.
Same here. r12 and i just feel like im getting the hang of it. Which feels like robbing DE to me, figuring out how to get formas, and primes. Prime anything feels like it should be a subscription only type of thing. BUT ITS NOT!
I just got a whole new level of appreciation for Warframe now. Also welcome to the Warframe community! Don't let the complexity overwhelm you, once you learn the basics everything else is just building upon those fundamentals. Took me a long time to wrap my head around it but I loved every freaking second of it! Also yeah, Warframe is better and it's free! :D
distant Observer This is just the beginning. Today I checked the recent warframe content that was released today and I found 2 reviews not even scrolling down the screen. Warframe is going to become the next big thing and now that it's getting attention from the right player bases, I can predict that we will double the amount of players by the end of this year. Even though there's not enough content to reach mastery level 30, the game is still gonna skyrocket at this point. I'm happy that Warframe and DE is finally getting the recognition it deserves.
It's interesting that (arguably) the best 2 games available today in the RPG (action?) genre are both free - Warframe and Path of Exile. Both developers have 100-200 employees and deliver constant innovation and updates and really do blow their AAA competition away. Both are also extremely complex and involved with their communities. It's a great time to be a gamer.
Having 2200 hours in warframe, I can't express how happy I was to see this video. Honestly, nobody reviews this game anymore, even though I know how many people play it. You weren't perfectly accurate with some things, but you definitely nailed the feel of warframe. The way it makes players who love it feel is wonderfully encapsulated by this video, and I now have something to recommend those I haven't seduced to the game yet. Thank you
Lawrence Belai the only thing I wish he touched up on was trading, talking about micro transactions could of turned people off but if he talked about trading people would of been like oh shit that's pretty cool
yah being able to trade parts you find but dont need to other players for actual game currency is great. even without spending actual money you can earn platinum from other players and buy most of the content. the only real money only areas are the extra non game impacting skins. you can sell parts for plat and use it for almost anything .
This game is literally a MILLION times better than Destiny 2....and its free! This should be illegal! I honestly feel embarrassed for Bungie when comparing their cash grab to this game!
It’s kinda funny how greedy bungie is... they said that the consoles now can’t support 60 FPS for their “astonishing game” yet WarFrame consistently has 60+ FPS and it has way better graphics+ packets. For my PlayStation, which I got on the first day it released, handles WarFrame like a snack! Shut up Bungie, you just made a damn re-skin of Destiny, re- named it, and then used the same greedy ass plan on forcing people to constantly buy DLC’s, BLOCKING OUT PVP AND CONTENT if we don’t! What a greedy company. #WHYpayFORless?
This is the review Warframe deserved!!! You did an amazing job at explaining things I couldn't even begin to tell my friends when talking them into playing this amazing masterpiece of a game!!! And I got 1200 hours of playtime, been playing ever since beta and lemme tell you man, hearing such an in-dept analysis from a person with around 100 hours of gameplay... it brings a tear to my eye. This must be how a mom would feel when her son graduates or some crap like that cuz this game is easily my top 1 that kept me playing since day one when I first saw it. That fucker grew on me *drops a tear*
I came across this review by accident and thought it was "just another review that wont do the game justice"....but man was I wrong here. I've played Warframe since its early beta days, while jobless and barely even able to feed myself, I still found money to invest and become a founder. As odd as this may sound, this video actually made me feel proud, proud that I invested, proud that I stuck with it during its early days, proud to have put years of my life into playing. Not for bragging rights, not to treat myself like some sort of king for it, but to be able to share this ever expanding, ever evolving experience with other gamers and watch them discover and enjoy every journey that I have over these years. I've always wanted every gamer I meet to play this, always tried to convince new people to join and become part of this community i've grown to love, yet....I could never quite explain it, never quite find the words to describe what it actually FEELS like to play. It will always touch me to see any new space ninja be born, taking their first baby step into this vast universe, I will always offer my hand out in support to guide them on their path. I truly hope you find the same love for this game I did. You're video has managed what my words never could, you captured the very heart of this game in a beautiful way, for that you have my thanks. I hope the people with doubts or reservations find this video and give it a chance, to be able to learn what it truly means to be a Tenno. Mencontar
100% agree. Videos like this one make me extremely proud to found the game. It feels amazing wearing my founder t-shirt and getting the occasional double-take or kudos at convention. It was the first game I ever bit the bullet on to invest into, and man did we reap the rewards.
Be proud you're a founder. I wish I had been. I was sitting on the fence trying to decide if I should invest, and then that window closed on me. I regret it still, more and more, and not just because Excalibur Prime.
I'm a founder and I bit early. Best decision I made! One of the best things around is pulling out Excalibur Prime and walking into the station. You know everyone is looking at you. It's even funnier when you show up on a mission with one. I always get DMs from people new to the game asking where do I get that frame. I laugh and reply, not gonna happen. I'm a founder. LOL!
90 hours in, mastery rank 7 and no prime Warframes....I was starting to think this game was a pay to win sham, until i got 4 primes in a single day of grinding. This game is the farthest thing from p2w ever, it's pay to win faster, but where's the fun in that. And....YOU DIDNT MENTION TRADING!!
actually primes arnt the best in the game. there are normal weps that are better than primes by 100%. theres also syndicate weps. if your talking about frames its just the looks or a bit more armor or shield etc etc not much of a difference. wont deny primes feel gd though xD
i still remember the first prime wari still remember the first prime frame i build was ash prime and i get it after doing all other normal frames and i was like mr11+ at the time i build ash prime. And today 1k+ of playable hour mr 21 got every frame in the arsenal and now just playing the game all over again just because it is that damn good
Zero yup. I played it when I first got my PS4 when Destiny 1 came out and uninstalled Warframe and forgot about it. This review brought me back and I looooove it.
@@michaualtington Most of what DE has since added as content has had a bumpy launch. The game is infamous for launch-day bugs and ill-tested changes -- BUT DE has also smoothed out most of the bugs and now even the highly criticized Empyrean (Railjack-content) is eminently playable and more than OK. All the significant milestones (Jovian, Empyrean, Old Blood, New War) has changed things a little. In classic Warframe style - there is more of .. everything to do. Significant and potent content-changes, but perhaps not the huge, new, fresh change that most of the seasoned playerbase craves. For new players it is still a smooth-flowing, great-looking, engaging, lore-filled game with enough weight to keep people occupied for literal years.
I've watched a few reviews of this game and have noticed that most people forget to talk about the community of players here. I am mostly a solo player, and have been enjoying the game fine enough. Yes it makes it harder to get certain items, but that is by choice. One of the things I love about this game is that at any moment, I can switch to public play and be put on a team to complete the more challenging quests. I could stay with said team for as long as i want or leave after the one mission and slink back into obscurity without any negative repercussions... It's fantastic. There are designated chats for different things like trading, and all that, and I have found that it only takes me asking for help to receive it. There are many players who will offer help, and do so without attitudes and judgments, without charging you fees and silly stuff like that. Yes there will always be an asshole or two, but mostly, everyone loves the game so much that you never have a real problem finding someone to help you with whatever it is you need. I have not experienced this in any other game... it is just baffling how this game exists in this day and age where everyone seems to be on selfish hater mode all the time for everything. The amount of content, customization, frequent updates and fixes... The Devs, and player base are fantastic, and make an already awesome game into something almost otherworldly. If you are on the fence about this game, I suggest giving it a go, it is grind heavy if you don't want to spend cash on it, but because there is so much content, I can say for certain that if you do choose to spend on acquiring something faster, you won't mind or regret it in the least... this game is a literal steal for $0.00. Best community out there, supporting the best game out there, that is why the game is still here and going strong!
Yeah, the community is great, if you need help getting a mod, or a certain material, its easy enough to just ask and in about a minute you'll have a full squad of people tryna carry you
TheGrimReaperGamer! I have never met anyone who was selfish or rude; people are willing to play whole quests with you! Once i played public for the first time, i never played solo again, people are just too nice here.
Started playing in 2013. Didn't like it one bit, it felt unfinished and buggy, deleted it from steam in about 2 hours. 2 months ago, for whatever reason, I started playing it again and couldn't believe it was the same game. Smooth movements, powerful guns, good visuals, level design, godlike powers.. All within the first 10 hours of playing. My friend, I was hooked right then and there. But when I finally laid my hands on Rhino and Ember warframes, that was it. My life as I knew it ceased to exist.. I have become Tenno.. In 2 months I've gathered 260 hours of playtime and I'm getting the hang of it, still a lot to learn though. Can't wait for new content. P.S. Ordis
Been at this game since 2014, and i can tell you its amazing how far this game has come... being there when the new updates released and seen it grow. Truly a game worth giving a chance.
You're reviews of Warframe were the reason that I looked into it back in the summer of 2018. Gave it a try. Played it for a few hours. And some more hours. After a while my wife saw me playing it and also gave it a go. We now have between us more then 7000 hours into the game. Frankly, we hardly touched any other game since the summer of 2018.
You know, when i see a game with 160 people working on it has done things games with 1200+ people working on them couldnt, i can just think of one sentence and one sentence only The developers love their game, its their baby
Digital Extremes marketed Warframe to a large number of companies and NONE of them liked the idea, this forced DE to produce and finance the game themselves through their Founders program along with money out of their development team's own pockets.
yea, and if that hadnt happened they wouldnt have the creative freedom they do now. They would of been limited to which ever company financed them focusing on trying to make a good return on investment. it likely would of just been another $60 AAA game, but instead they have unrestricted creative freedom to do what they want. Warframe stands as a unique product because DE had to take a different approach to make their game a reality
after enjoying this game for 100 hours and not bought anything i feel like i've robbed someone maybe they make money by making a game so good that you feel guilty not paying also this game has the best ,nicest, funniest ,hilarious community ever in the whole gaming industry
Let me tell you a little story. On my birthday, I received a Nintendo Switch. This switch came with no games whatsoever. I looked at the E-Shop for free games, and inevitably stumbled over Fortnite. Because I was an idiot, and I got the Fortnite bundle, I got Fortnite. Sure, it was a blast, but it felt soulless, due to my disdain of battle royale games. So back to the E-Shop I went. I eventually found Warframe, so I downloaded. And I *hated it.* I saw platinum as a PTW system which sucked because I hate PTW games. So I didn't play. By this time, Christmas rolled around so I had more stuff to play with. But, I never deleted Warframe... At some point, I visited my cousin, and I saw him playing Warframe, and I wondered, "Why is he playing this garbage. But then I saw his Warframe, his operator. I wanted what he wanted. "But the games PTW," I thought. I wouldn't get what he got without paying. But then he showed me, he showed me the light. I opened my mind and reopened Warframe. He taught me new things, I had fun, I genuinely had fun, the same fun I got when playing a $60 AAA title like Breath of the Wild. In the near-present, I continued playing, looking into the community, and saw that platinum was spent commonly by a specific sub-division called "Fashion Frame", and the use of platinum to buy weapons was mostly frowned upon. I watched guides, saw streams, and wrapped my head around how this world worked. It was fascinating at how much detail went into a FTP game, since my main experience was Fortnite and mobile games. I kept returning, over and over. It was fun, it was refreshing. Heck sometimes I returned just to dick around with other trolls and memers. It is now the present with me typing this on a Monday night. I haven't achieved my cousin's level yet, but I have a good time trying. I probably have a little over 100 hours in Warframe, and I savor the day I can get a Nikana, and unlock my operator, and get a prime Warframe, and set off my clan! But none of this was necessary. Why did I tell you this. I could be doing anything else. Well, why did you read. Because you wanted to read an amusing story about my first experience with Warframe. Warframe is not a game. It's an experience. I can get if you hate FTP games. I can get of you hate Warframe. But this is my story on Warfame. Happy hunting.
Ubisoft at least try to fix their games. Like division, but any good additions were not free. Even though they should have been in the game from the start.
I love the one moment in particular when on the frost P he shoots a grineer with an arrow and turns to keep going, only to immediately do a double take and turn back to stare for a few seconds at the corpse now pinned to the wall. You can just feel him thinking 'holy shit'
No mention of the massive player-driven trading economy? The reason I've put 2k plus hours into this game is the thrill of making great trades for the weapon or frame I've been failing to farm for, or trading the items or sets I've farmed up and selling them for Plat to buy capes, armor, warframe and weapon skins, new ships, and other useless junk that I simply must have. The long and short of it is... I love the grind but sometimes the grind doesn't love me back. And that's ok, because it feels good anyway.
I see the grind and trading as a challenge in Warframe. I feel that if you pay, you cheat. However, in the end I payed for platinum (on special ofcourse) to show my support and it was worth it.
The number of times just sitting there looking at trade chat and warframe.market to see great offers so you can buy or sell plat waiting so you can buy that one thing you really want is so addictive
I love how you give these reviews and they sound like a novel, what sets you apart from other reviewers is how educated you are. I live this game and I love your channel keep it up.
Loved your review As a veteran WF player I would like to welcome you back. All the Warframes and equipment (including primes) that I have was by grinding. In that sence DE does a great job on letting the player choose how to obtain the items. Since WF is a free to play game my support to DE is buying the accessories pack for the prime access when is released. Also you have a trade system to make some plat from the extra prime gear. Again your review of WF is really important and helps this game gets the attention it deserves. NINJAS WANTED
They have to earn money, and i'm sad to tell you that cosmetic isn't enough. The wait time ? Isn't a problem, you always have something to farm anyway. The inventory reqs ? well it can be, but you see that shiny thing you had while farming and that you don't use, or don't want to have ? Somebody want it, and you can have what you want without paying. This game let you full choice
Goddamn, I have never been this blown away by such a fantastic video, and by the fact that I have only ever barely heard this game being mentioned in RUclips comment sections. if this doesn't make you want to play this game, I don't know what will. (I am downloading this masterpiece as we speak)
I joined this amazing community very recently and thus quite late to the party. After avoiding the game due to my disgust of freemium games, micro transactions and whatnot, due to having heard about its legendary “grindy” nature, about its unintuitive complexity I finally caved in to my curiosity regarding the art direction, since I’m a big fan of Dune, Moëbius and this kind of “bigger than humanity weird space opera” approach (I hope they don’t end up feeling the need to explain every little bit of lore and leave some room for each person’s imagination). And what a ride it has been. Warframe might well be the most perfect example of how the freemium model should always be implemented, due to how well balanced its monetisation systems are. The grind is indeed there but you can do it in so many ways, in mission types that are so varied, that being bored with it only depends on yourself and your lack of exploration or connection with the community (helping on Clan tasks and joining random Squads almost always offer fresh experiences). Also, it feels that if you go with a mentality of trying to collect everything as fast as possible you are just making it worse for you. If you play along with the game, deciphering what is needed to unlock each quest, asking for help in your clan or a squad to get a specific mission finished, focusing on only a couple of builds that you really like will probably help setting the right expectations in place regarding the grind. And yes the unintuitive complexity of it will make you go through a lot of wiki pages probably, but it ends up being part of the charm of it, the mystery of it (although that could indeed be improved with more intuitive and informative contextual menus). What a unique gaming experience. And this might sound crazy, but I hope one day No Man’s Sky will sit besides this superb game as an example of how a long iterative creative development done well can deliver long term amazing and immersive games that become a complete and broad experience that transcend their medium.
The one thing Warframe does that no one ever mentions that COMPLETELY sets it apart from all other Free-to-Play games is that its premium currency, the one you spend really money on, is tradeable between characters. So, if you're cool enough and farm enough good stuff, you can trade IT for Platinum, the Warframe premium currency, to buy whatever you want that requires Platinum! Its not taxed, either. So if you sell something for 100 platinum, you GET 100 platinum! Its quite literally the best thing about Warframe's economy!
@@SouthernGuy5423 indeed! The developers do seem to care about the community and making a profit via a long run investment on keeping people engaged and having fun. They seem to understand keeping the economy fair, in the sense you mentioned, is a part of what is needed to make that long term relationship go well.
Good choice friend. Ive only played the game for 2 hours at my friends house, for some reason I never downloaded it myself but im doing it right now overnight.
I just wanted to let you know that I rediscovered this video years later and realized it's "the" video I watched years ago that go me into playing Warframe. Thank you for bring this amazing experience and community to me and millions of other gamers.
Everything in the game can be obtained without spending a single penny. You can sell and buy items in trade chat for Platinum. Meaning everything in the market can be obtained for free. Vaulted frames obtained by players before they're vaulted can also be traded in trade chat.
People do spend money. I'm just pointing out that nothing is behind a pay wall. The only thing that you have to buy for money and cannot be bought for plat are the exclusive, Limited time Obsidian packs which are just cosmetics. they are like £7. DE sold the majority share of DE for $73 million but still retain Management. They also sell merchandise, Warframe has it's own Comic line. They also made other games like Dark sector, Star trek. not to mention they have been a support studio for epic games and helped create Unreal tournament and Bioshock.
+there are some cosmetics you can have only for money though. Personally, I don't care if to have extra good looks you CAN have to pay, Doesn't matter :D
I'm not a RUclipsr like you @MCGamerCZ, but I totally agree in what you said there! (I've played this game almost since the start of open beta, Master Founder here, and I still love the game to this day) And to you @SkillUp, nicely done mate (Y)
"I'm desperately trying to understand how they have accomplished this when so many other AAA developer this days can't" DE tried to Publish Warframe back in 2008, but no distribution wanted the came. Calling it a "failure in the making" or directly "unsustainable" If you are curious search for "dark Sector" for X360 and PS3, then search for Dark Sector's concept trailer online. You'll be surprised ;) Also, excellent review. Congrats on that.
Irochi most tripple AAA could do that they just fail to do so because of monetisation schemes and lack of passion if you look at ubisoft and my favourit example for what can be there is Rainbow six siege wich wasnt as good as it could be when.it came out they put in alot of effort and passion and today the.community strives and paired with its step onto the big esports stage it will go into its third year of active support 2019
So interesting how only after DE did this, did the AAA gaming industry try to do the same and did it very badly, with gamers in rebellion. As we should be. I love warframe!
@@mm-rw3hi i dont think its because of the lack of passion at all. Problems with aaa games is usually not the devs. Its the publisher. The development studio are usually filled with gamers like you and me that care a lot about video games. Why do you think crunch is more accepted in the video game industry than in others industries? Publishers set up the deadline and its them that push for the monetization schemes. Since warframe came out in 2013, 6 years have gone by and the only focus of the studio was that game. iirc, they also didnt switch engine, so the vets there have a lot and a lot of experience with the game. Of course the game is incredibly polished, they had the time. And its kudos to them to develop a game of that quality, but blaming devs about shitty no content and bugged games is usually wrong.
Stephen Ferguson the war within would be a quest I'd endlessly replay if that god damned golden maw thing wasn't so annoying. I'm probably just bad, but I hated the first encounter with it.
I'm pretty sure "The Man in the Wall" is actually referring to a void entity, not the Orokin or Sentient. Its the thing that gave the Tenno their powers. Remember, in War Within, the father of the Tenno said this, "There's something out there" when they were looking out the windows of the ship into the void. They know very well that there's something there.
Dorito joe i played this game since day one for a year or two... At These time it was like you were thrown in a war and you had no clue what to Do, there was no tutorial for nothing :D but it ws so much fun
What this guy said... I hate watching reviews that don't' know what they're talking about. As a warframe player veteran of over 3 years, you've managed to hit all the good and bad points pretty accurately. I think I noticed only one point that wasn't exactly true (which currently escapes me now). Bravo Skill Up on your accurate/extensive review. Bravo DE for keeping at it for 4 years. Heres to 40 more! (44 year old game? Is that a thing?)
fyi, when primes are released, their parts are released in the game at the same time, u really dont have to spend a cent, if u wanna skip farming for the parts go ahead and pay, but u can easily play as a ftp, only thing thats locked behind paying is cosmetics
Thank you for making the corrections. Just in case anyone is wondering: Here's how the Prime Access and Prime Vaults work: Prime Access is a pack that can be bought with real money and contains a Primed Warframe (with a warframe slot), 2 Primed Weapons(each with it's own weapon slot included), a bunch of cosmetic items, profile pictures , 90-day XP, Credit boosters and premium currency called 'Platinum'. It has 3 tiers, in case you wanna buy parts of the pack, but not all of it. There's also an option to buy current PA's cosmetics and boosters separately. The cosmetics from the Prime Access Pack can ONLY be purchased with real money, however. At the time that the Prime Access Pack is released, ALL of the primed items become immediately available in-game for players to obtain. You can do that by farming up Void Relics that contain Primed Frame and Prime Weapon parts and then assembling frames and weapons from those parts (as well as trading them for Warframe's premium currency called Platinum, which you can then use to trade for primed items with other players or buy stuff from the in-game store, such as boosters, cosmetics, etc) Primed Vault works differently. Every once in a while, the developers remove certain items from the in-game loot table rotation, in order to make way for new stuff. The items that are removed from the game are 'entering the Prime Vault'. This means, that at certain point, the developers will 'un-vault' them once again. Like, for example, Mag Prime and Rhino Prime are very old frames and were 'un-vaulted' in July this year for all the players to obtain via the aforementioned Void Relics. Meaning that relics that contain those frame parts are once again placed in rotation for a month or so. You can also just straight up buy the Prime Vault Pack to get everything immediately (once again, frame and weapon slots included). Sometimes, Primed Vault also contains some cosmetics from the previous Prime Access Packs, such as the Targis Prime Armor set for your warframes (entirely cosmetic). So to reiterate, there is really no such thing as a 'paywall' in Warframe. Absolutely everything of any gameplay value is obtainable in game (including Platinum) and ALL of the game's content is entirely free. Hope that clears everything up :)
You do need to buy slots for gear with plat, so if you are a collector, you will need to spend on the slots (they are pretty cheap), or trade in game to get plat and you can use that to open slots. I have 40+ Warframes (including Primes and a couple duplicate Primes), but I've been playing for 4+ years and I never sell anything. I'm a total hoarder in this game, lol.
Downloaded and gave it a try for a couple of hours and deleted .. wow .. so many keys required just to move in the right direction :) As skill up says, its not for everyone.
There are also some syandanas and skins (purely cosmetic) that are created by the users and those can not be bought with platinum (premium currency), but only with money.
I’m getting all misty eyed, man. I’m about 2,100 hours into this game, and you reminded me exactly why I love it so much. I love it because the developers do too. I love it because of how much freedom it offers, how much lore it has, and the sheer amount of STUFF it has. It’s a truly gorgeous gem of a game, a game where the developers want you to enjoy yourself as much as they enjoy raising their figurative child, Warframe. They care about our experience. I’m almost in tears at this point. The Second Dream OST at the end hit me like a truck. It’s so beautiful and haunting, a fitting piece to represent the feeling that Warframe gives.
22:58 In one word : Passion Where other developers ask for more money instead of polishing their game, Warfame doesn't need to ask for it, because they'll recieve it in reward for putting some much work into it ! Passionate and dedicated people will always go far than any other.
if anyone ever needs help in this game, whether its finding loot and mods, explaining lore and mechanics, or getting into warframe in general, feel free to ask me. Skill Up didn't mention it, but this game's community 85% comprised of saints with the remaining 15% being angels everyone is extremely nice, compared to most games that is.
No it's not XBox, dueling for plat is mostly a scam. If you lose you pay if you win you don't get paid. My clan on ps4 has a guy collecting the wager plat from both sides and awarding it to the winner so no scamming can occur.
Alcralix I wanted to trade with someone for some prime parts, I didn't have any prime on my character when I was to trade, he would accept other people's trade inv. but he wouldn't accept mine, he would just look at me when I was literally standing right in front of him, the one part I hate about WF, that one dude XD
Absolutely, I have never met anyone not willing to help in the Warframe community, and as I find myself becoming more veteran I love helping new players!
Dynasty warrior fans understand why it feels great to destroy 1000s of enemies with the press of a button. I dropped my phone out of shock when I read the notification that you did a review of the greatness that is warframe.
I've only just started playing Warfrane myself, and I have to constantly remind myself that it's a free to play game. The sheer amount of content, quality and character within it is mind-boggling to me. Before this, I played World of Tanks, for a little over six years, and Wargaming couldn't be any more different to the guys who make Warframe. They have literally butchered the game into a 'pay-to-win' cash grab, releasing more and more premium tanks, rather than addressing the constant bugs and errors. I hope Digital Extremes keeps to their ways, as quite simply, they have one of the best free to play games out there right now!
Its mindblowing to.me.that this video still keeps bringing people in. I got in because of this video and am almost close to 1k hours ingame. It has flaws but what a fantastic game.
One thing I feel you forgot to mention is trading. To those who are interested in this topic, yes trading is an actually thing in Warframe. You have the ability to trade with other players for things they have that you want or the other way around. The only thing that's locked behind the "Pay Wall" are the customizations. This can easily be resolved by players trading with other players for the premium currency. I have been a Warframe player for well over a year now, and I have NOT spent a single dime on the game, yet I have some of the best gear, customization's and over all everything in the game, just by playing and trading the loot I acquire through out my playing sessions with other players. FYI: I'm close to breaking my 3K hour mark in the game!
Just wanted to throw in my two cent history. Played Destiny 1 from the launch of The Dark Below and have had a mostly hate and minorly love relationship with Destiny. I only kept playing because it was what my friends wanted to play. And while we had fun on D1 and had some good memories, there were far more bad memories. Not the least of which is a damaged friendship over an exotic gun, and the severe buyers remorse that every single DLC and event that Destiny 1 gave my wallet. My mentality with D1 boils down to this; everything, from base-game Destiny to the final DLC, the Rise of Iron, was worth about half of what Bungie and Activision asked. So, $40 for base game, $10 for Dark Below and House of Wolves, $20 for Taken King, and $15 for Rise of Iron. I already had the first two due to the season pass that came with the game, but I know this isn't the case for everyone who bought Destiny. I bought TTK on the premise of all these people who said "TTK Fixes Destiny Completely!" and I think these people are brainwashed. TTK Improved a little, but hardly fixes the game. Then RoI came out and completely killed any interest I had in Destiny. Then I started playing Warframe. At first, I hated the game due to the control scheme (Xbox One) and because it felt extremely boring. But I came back to the game at the urging of one of my friends, and I am very glad I did. He gave me his control setup, which essentially is a setup that uses the right stick for slide and jump as my right bumper, and this simple modification utterly changed my opinion on the game. It's been roughly a year since I came back to Warframe, and I've enjoyed it so much that I rose to the rank of MR 24, I have almost every arsenal item in the game, I frequently farm and trade for the plat I need, I have dozens of top-tier weapon and frame builds, and so, so much more. And unlike Destiny, where I achieved 400 light on all three classes, collected every exotic weapon, completely every raid challenge, I don't feel a single ounce of regret with Warframe. There is no doubt which game is superior. Warframe, from an objective point of view, from content, from developer, and cost, Warframe beats the snot out of Destiny 1, its DLC, and Destiny 2. Definitively.
@@ghevisartor6005 why would I play a game with little to no content when warframe has no end game because they constantly update? Also fashion frame is a thing and I want my fuck8n mag prime
dude I have been on the warframe rollercoaster for 4 years I have over 2000 hours on it and each time I want to take a brake from it...it pulls me back in...it is truly a game that I will forever play
I've taken numerous breaks through the years, but theres always going to be an awesome update to get you hyped and coming back. I dont plan on stopping ever..
Your reviews are so goddamn wholesome. The best review of warframe. You actually explain who the game is for and what its all about. Your videos induce a sense of optimism. That's bloody rare nowadays in video games. Thank you for introducing me to this incredible game.
@@louisrobitaille5810 There are plenty of ways to make the game challenging. There are also just as many ways to literally become a god with a delete all stick as you can build guns and mod them to shoot bullets with the power of nuclear warheads. But both the challenge, and ease are based on your own creativity. Some times, that creativity can come and kick you in the balls. Like taking a paris prime with a riven that makes every shot do 10 million damage! But at the cost of losing 210% of projectile speed.
Warframe can be played casually but even so it takes a time commitment to learn and understand the game. You can get the basics down and enjoy the game in low level areas just fine as a casual player but even that takes 10-15 hours to get to. Warframe truly has the content and depth to support extensive enjoyment, however it takes commitment akin to an MMO to get into. In the community we see someone with 100 hours as Barely out of the Tutorial. 500 hours is the unofficial end of the tutorial, 1000 is where you can say you understand the game, 2000 is where you are experienced and understand the many sub-mechanics, 3000+ is where you get to complain about lack of content and challenge.
One of the best things about this review is there is no numerical score. Warframe evolves so fast that any number score is outdated almost immediately. Great job Skill Up. I initially got a PS4 solely for this game and it's still one of my favorites.
been playing a week or so now. i'm a software engineer and that only enhances my appreciation for this wonderful game. its amazing, honestly, and i bought some stuff because I appreciate that. they earned it.
Warframe is quickly becoming my favorite game. The aesthetic, the grind, the polish, the depth, the power fantasy, the community... it's all just so GOOD. Great game, great review.
As a former player who played before many of the QoL changes, lemme tell you, you will not be disappointed. I never spent a dime and i got my rhino frame, awesome gear, modded, it is a solid game.
Warframe is kinda like chocolate, it's sweet, it's awesome, it's pretty cheap(sometimes), anyone can eat it(unless you can't have sugar, or have a weak heart, something like that, I think), it's addictive at times, it can sometimes get old, but after a while of not eating it, it feels like the first time you ate chocolate all over again and it feels simply wünderbar. Warframe is awesome, and I'm super excited about every new update that's coming out, or being worked on.
2nd comment.. But I finished the video, and honestly, this is the best warframe review I've ever seen. You covered not only the "endgame" of warframe but you described the starting point and the experience that almost every new player will encounter. One thing you forgot to mention was the vastly deep trading system that makes buying platinum POINTLESS. This game is 100% free, and you can become the most overpowerful fucker you want, while spending NO MONEY, by just playing the game....The platinum purchasing is merely a "crutch" for people with the cash to throw around. Regardless, EXCELLENT review.
I just want to be clearer on that point (Slootyboot is right, I don't disagree with him) : The only things you can't get for free are some cosmetics, - the *Tennogen* (skins made by the community, though you can get them for free on console except the last ones realeased if I'm right) - the *Prime Accessories* that are only available by purchasing the Prime access (45€ for the accessories only) or the Prime Vault (35€ / 55€). This part isn't alot and you can get almost everything for free of course, it's just a little extra to support the devs if you wish to. Also, I would add this list that show as of september 2016 (2 years after I began this game) what I was able to buy without spending money at all, just time (dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/n6ith66zyg7cymd/Warframe%20PL.txt?dl=0) Have a nice day everyone and I hope new Tenno's will appears :3

Sae this video 3 months ago. Installed warframe and now I'm r16 and never been so guilty in my life. Can't believe this game is a 3A free game. I brought plat to support DE but is no necesarie at all. I LOVE IT
As someone who has more than 3 years on Warframe I have to say that your review is really good and I'm happy about this game being more popular lately. Warframe has a bit more of 4 years and is constantly updated with new content like weapons, Warframes, Reworks, systems updates and what's even better are the huge updates each 4-6 months with lots of content. That's not even counting the Raids, bosses, Events, etc. I don't want to start a fight with anyone but I'm suprised that Destiny, a game with a massive budget cannot improve as much as Warframe, a free 2 play game. Digital Extremes put a lot of effort and love on Warframe and that's one of the reasons why this game is alive and kicking (one of the most played games on Steam for years), also the community is another one nice part of this game, you can see the mayor events like Tennocon 2016 and 2017 where the fans met the creators and we get incredible reveals of new content. Hopefully more people can catch the ride with Warframe and start playing it because it deserves more screentime.
I think in large part the reason WF can evolve faster than Destiny is because of the size of the dev teams. It's not that they are more passionate, it's that they are more nimble. Generally speaking, the more employees a dev team has, the more supervisors they have, the more opinions, meetings, disagreements, conflicts, etc. It can slow down decision making and implementation dramatically. I'm taking nothing away from DE here, I'm actually commending them for choosing to remain as a lean team rather than start to try and be something they are not.
skill up, if you want some help understanding the system I can help, but you should also check out a channel called distant observer. he does a really good job of explaining how the game works and the stupid shit you can do with it.
ProXtrm I'm enjoying it as well o tried it on PS4 at launch like skill up called it trash never touched it again until this video played for 8 hours so far and made it to mercury
Your video convinced me play Warframe 4 years ago and I still play it. I'm now MR 30 and I still play other games. But this one in particular, is special. Thank you for the recommendation.

Fun fact: Bullet jump was originally a bug, but so many people did it and enjoyed it, that it was turned into an actual mechanic.
other games was like "shii thats op so we remove it"
digital extremes just gave the metaphorical and biggest middle finger to those statements with warframe and just said "looks fun, will be fun"
Are you serious?? Damn thats crazy because it feels right to bullet jump
@@lawrenceragoo4866 it actually was called coptering and used 4 imputs to achieve

I know right! I'm happy warframe is finally getting the recognition it deserves. Been here since 2013
I'm happy to see it whenever it pops up, but I don't want it talked about too much. The community is too good and I don't want to lose it.
I'm with you :)
First up, if you want to sign up to play Warframe, you can use this referral code to get some free stuff: www.warframe.com/signup?referrerId=586a5e3e3ade7f27084d4066
Second, I wanted to issue some corrections:
1) There are raids- I just didn't know about them. I did some research on this but I confused them with something else, so I got this part wrong.
2) Oberon Prime is NOT behind a paywall. Again, I mixed this up with something else (where certain primes get 'vaulted' for a time). You can earn the new Prime Warframes for free from the start
3) The new Open World area due in September WILL NOT be procedurally generated.
Skill Up I have over 2,000 hours in this game, never got bored. Skill up u picked a great game
DISTESCO MORI when was this said because it was not mentioned in the last devstream
On Tennocon they said this is only the beginning and in the Devstream was Steve itself who said there will be more for the entire Solar System. Watch it again.
Skill Up I was confused when you said Oberon was exclusive I was wth but ty for that.
what i learned about Warframe:
Step 1: you start to walk
Step 2: you discover the sprint button
Step 3: you learn how to fly
and thats not only the learning curve
Step 10: you learn how to destroy 200 enemies in just 5 minutes
@@danimalspoptart step 11: stop putting slash mods on your hammer
Step 12. You realize someone kamikazed some of the best Relay locations.
Step 12 FLUFLY BUNNIES
As a relatively new player, one of the biggest learning curves of Warframe is learning about the individual features of the game. There’s so damn much! Movement is the first, then you gotta learn about loadouts, then mods, then crafting, then grinding, then sentinels and kubrows, the vernacular, the difference game modes, the special events, the in-game economy, the free roam areas, the near-constant updates, the intricate story, fashion frame, railjacks and whatever The Duviri Paradox is gonna bring.
Goddamn. This is the only review that has captured warframe.

Welcome, Tenno. Spoiler alert: you control a biomechanical combat puppet and you're "asleep". Ok, semi-spoiler ;)
Blacky Chan yea I was surprised too, trading is a massive part of the experience
well i have 1100H there is pp with a lot more so don't get me wrong i said cause of that many hours almost 50% of them i passed trading or speaking with pp or undestanding new things of the game x'D so yes it's really a big part of the game if you wanna be FULLY free to play and with about 550~ playing (or so say my ingame profile stats xD) and i'm still enjoying new things .
A friend of mine has like 20,000 plat or something stupid like it without spending a single penny. It's absurd.
To each there own, my opinion is the game is much prettier without it. tho i do agree the ship does take a hit
Personally; I turn it off because it hurts my eyes otherwise.
My go-to rule for Warframe early game: If in doubt, melee it out
Probably works in almost any point in the game

Same here. r12 and i just feel like im getting the hang of it. Which feels like robbing DE to me, figuring out how to get formas, and primes. Prime anything feels like it should be a subscription only type of thing. BUT ITS NOT!

I think war frame is the game messiah of the century. also this is the most truthful game I ever played.
And let Master distant Observer teach you how to bullshit your way through the end-game :P
distant Observer Don't forget, there is toxicity (as with every community). But, I see it a little more in the Warframe community than some others.
distant Observer This is just the beginning.
Dawson Sihavong true
Dude, I love your videos so much btw. Always so smart and to the point :)

A MILLION times better?
It's *infinitely* better than Destiny 2 :)
I get more enjoyment out of the D2 gameplay, but it is easier to find shit to do in Warframe, so you are always entertained :p
LOL!
speakman1111 I wish i could go back but nobody to play with lmao

90 hours in, mastery rank 7 and no prime Warframes....I was starting to think this game was a pay to win sham, until i got 4 primes in a single day of grinding. This game is the farthest thing from p2w ever, it's pay to win faster, but where's the fun in that.
And....YOU DIDNT MENTION TRADING!!
actually primes arnt the best in the game. there are normal weps that are better than primes by 100%. theres also syndicate weps. if your talking about frames its just the looks or a bit more armor or shield etc etc not much of a difference. wont deny primes feel gd though xD
Mohet Khamees no one said primes are better than other weps tho
caveman96 You can easily make a better normal frame then prime frame with some formas and orokin reactor.
i still remember the first prime wari still remember the first prime frame i build was ash prime and i get it after doing all other normal frames and i was like mr11+ at the time i build ash prime.
And today 1k+ of playable hour mr 21 got every frame in the arsenal and now just playing the game all over again just because it is that damn good
90 hours, 7 primes without money just farm and trade. You're just bad.

Whatabout everything about jovian concord aka old blood and empyrean
@@michaualtington
Most of what DE has since added as content has had a bumpy launch. The game is infamous for launch-day bugs and ill-tested changes -- BUT
DE has also smoothed out most of the bugs and now even the highly criticized Empyrean (Railjack-content) is eminently playable and more than OK.
I hope they have brunost in the game

They incorporate memes aswell

Warframe waw Basically the Final Fantasy of DE.
Its funny how warframe was constantly rejected by other gaming companies yet look at it now....
to be fair if it wasnt rejected everywhere there is no way the game would be what it is now.
Digital Extremes marketed Warframe to a large number of companies and NONE of them liked the idea, this forced DE to produce and finance the game themselves through their Founders program along with money out of their development team's own pockets.
And look at how that move has rewarded them now!
yea, and if that hadnt happened they wouldnt have the creative freedom they do now. They would of been limited to which ever company financed them focusing on trying to make a good return on investment. it likely would of just been another $60 AAA game, but instead they have unrestricted creative freedom to do what they want. Warframe stands as a unique product because DE had to take a different approach to make their game a reality
and thats why they make more money then call of duty games lol jk but still there rolling in mounds of cash
after enjoying this game for 100 hours and not bought anything i feel like i've robbed someone
maybe they make money by making a game so good that you feel guilty not paying
also this game has the best ,nicest, funniest ,hilarious community ever in the whole gaming industry

Agree and agree. Props to them though! That is the way it should be.
random dude when did you start playing it?

The ShadowThief so much time nickel and diming. It's sounds tedious, but it is one of the best features in game to be sure

As a veteran WF player I would like to welcome you back.

And this might sound crazy, but I hope one day No Man’s Sky will sit besides this superb game as an example of how a long iterative creative development done well can deliver long term amazing and immersive games that become a complete and broad experience that transcend their medium.
put that in a history book and u get a f**king mint

Wow I had no idea, downloading now. Thank you, one of best reviews I have ever seen.
If you're downloading on PS4 I'd be happy to help you along.
welcome to community :D
Good choice friend. Ive only played the game for 2 hours at my friends house, for some reason I never downloaded it myself but im doing it right now overnight.
There is also a auction house you can use to get items from other players. Warframe is a very deep game... been playing for 2 years.
1WINDSHEAR bro I'm hooked I've been playing for 60 days straight and have a little over 200 hours in it.
Funny how Destiny 2 is just giving people a reason to dive into Warframe.
overpriced season pass that locks you out off the stuff you already payed for?
Yuuya exactly what happened to me lmao
I only really gave Warframe a second look because of all the "Forget Destiny 2, go play warframe instead" comments. :P
Yuuya you would rather spend all tgat season pass money on prime warframes or platinum
I would and I did.
From one Warframe player to the next, I wish you good luck with your journey Tenno. I know you'll enjoy it.

Great review though.
MrMusicalee how can the devs make money then if people don't spend anything
People do spend money. I'm just pointing out that nothing is behind a pay wall. The only thing that you have to buy for money and cannot be bought for plat are the exclusive, Limited time Obsidian packs which are just cosmetics. they are like £7. DE sold the majority share of DE for $73 million but still retain Management. They also sell merchandise, Warframe has it's own Comic line. They also made other games like Dark sector, Star trek. not to mention they have been a support studio for epic games and helped create Unreal tournament and Bioshock.
MrMusicalee we... don't mention that Star Trek game.
+there are some cosmetics you can have only for money though. Personally, I don't care if to have extra good looks you CAN have to pay, Doesn't matter :D
Very well done !

"I'm desperately trying to understand how they have accomplished this when so many other AAA developer this days can't"
DE tried to Publish Warframe back in 2008, but no distribution wanted the came. Calling it a "failure in the making" or directly "unsustainable"
If you are curious search for "dark Sector" for X360 and PS3, then search for Dark Sector's concept trailer online. You'll be surprised ;)
Also, excellent review.
People should watch ‘Warframe Documentary - The Story of Digital Extremes’ on youtube. It’s split into two parts.

Just wait until, you complete the"War Within" quest now that's some great and passionate story.
I prefer second dream, but both are great
Stephen Ferguson the war within would be a quest I'd endlessly replay if that god damned golden maw thing wasn't so annoying. I'm probably just bad, but I hated the first encounter with it.
Zoren Arino ikr
Or the newest one with Rell. "The Man in the Wall". Lotus is a Sentient. Sooooo I think An Orokin is about to try to hunt her down Stalker Style
This review does this game justice, thanks :)
The guys at DE will really appreciate this review.
Is that a thing?)
fallingfalling fallingfalling I think you meant 'opinion'
fallingfalling fallingfalling yeah, that is something I've heard of.
But that's why you read the terms and conditions.
fyi, when primes are released, their parts are released in the game at the same time, u really dont have to spend a cent, if u wanna skip farming for the parts go ahead and pay, but u can easily play as a ftp, only thing thats locked behind paying is cosmetics
do octavia music packs count as only cosmetic
Thank you for making the corrections. Just in case anyone is wondering:
Here's how the Prime Access and Prime Vaults work:
Prime Access is a pack that can be bought with real money and contains a Primed Warframe (with a warframe slot), 2 Primed Weapons(each with it's own weapon slot included), a bunch of cosmetic items, profile pictures , 90-day XP, Credit boosters and premium currency called 'Platinum'.
You can do that by farming up Void Relics that contain Primed Frame and Prime Weapon parts and then assembling frames and weapons from those parts (as well as trading them for Warframe's premium currency called Platinum, which you can then use to trade for primed items with other players or buy stuff from the in-game store, such as boosters, cosmetics, etc)
Primed Vault works differently.
ShTuPm I'm MR18, and I have a question. Wouldn't you say; "Everything (apart from prime cosmetics like syandanas) are free."?
NickoTyn For PC, cash only. They do put those on console for Plat, though. I am a PC founder, however I play on PS4 as well.
You can get prime frames like Oberon Prime as soon as they come out. Just gotta farm rare relics.

The second dream alone is better than destiny's whole campaign
IS THAT A MOTHERFUCKING JOJO'S REFERENCE?
Third time watching. This reveiw changed my life and gave me a life long game that i still come back to. Thank you.
22:58 In one word : Passion
Where other developers ask for more money instead of polishing their game, Warfame doesn't need to ask for it, because they'll recieve it in reward for putting some much work into it !
Passionate and dedicated people will always go far than any other.
Well said :)

No it's not XBox, dueling for plat is mostly a scam. If you lose you pay if you win you don't get paid. My clan on ps4 has a guy collecting the wager plat from both sides and awarding it to the winner so no scamming can occur.

FYI: I'm close to breaking my 3K hour mark in the game!
ah man, best warframe review so far.. almost got me in tears since i have been playing it for so long..

That perfectly describes Warframe or any popular game

2nd comment.. But I finished the video, and honestly, this is the best warframe review I've ever seen. You covered not only the "endgame" of warframe but you described the starting point and the experience that almost every new player will encounter. One thing you forgot to mention was the vastly deep trading system that makes buying platinum POINTLESS. This game is 100% free, and you can become the most overpowerful fucker you want, while spending NO MONEY, by just playing the game....The platinum purchasing is merely a "crutch" for people with the cash to throw around. Regardless, EXCELLENT review.
We need more upvotes on this comment so that more people can see this!!!
I just want to be clearer on that point (Slootyboot is right, I don't disagree with him) :
The only things you can't get for free are some cosmetics,
- the *Tennogen* (skins made by the community, though you can get them for free on console except the last ones realeased if I'm right)
- the *Prime Accessories* that are only available by purchasing the Prime access (45€ for the accessories only) or the Prime Vault (35€ / 55€).
This part isn't alot and you can get almost everything for free of course, it's just a little extra to support the devs if you wish to.
Also, I would add this list that show as of september 2016 (2 years after I began this game) what I was able to buy without spending money at all, just time (dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/n6ith66zyg7cymd/Warframe%20PL.txt?dl=0)

Mastery rank or Warframe rank?
