Man even to this day I feel a heart string being tugged when I hear TotalBiscuit's voice. May he rest in peace. Awesome video. Was yet another trip down memory lane for me and while there were a couple of potholes and random traffic jams, overall it's been an absolutely awesome journey. DE has shown themselves trustworthy enough for me to keep them in the highest regard among other developers, and I can't wait to see what's in store for both Warframe and Soulframe. Here's to another 10 years of Digital Extremes. *drinks coffee*
Thank you for this video. I've loved Warframe for over 8 years now, almost 9. Even if my playtime is staggered it's never left my downloaded games list. I love this game, its lore, its evolution, and its community. Thank you for showing this game love on a platform that can bring more people into the fold.
I remember when Warframe had a pvp system that pitted clans against each other to take control over dark sectors to gain advertising via starmap. I really hoped they'd have brought that back some day. I think the dojo room still has a terminal dedicated to it which has just been completely useless this whole time
My heart melted hearing TB again. I loved his content and his words about Warframe got me into the game back in 2013. He said the game had potential and look where we are.
I've changed from a tenno to a guardian in the last few years but I still watch Potato's vids to stay up to date and because well how can you not just love his content
Started playing this game on Xbox one around late 2014. Around the time Mirage was released. Dropped it at the end of 2015 cause of school, work, etc. Came back 8 years later at the start of 2023 and went from MR 16 to MR 22 in 2 months. My God I forgot how much I love this game and it is a drug I can't get enough of
22:02 I think people are still misunderstanding this part of the story. The way I understand it, we DON'T have Eternalism or a multiverse. All other "versions" of our operator were shown dying during one of the later cinematics of the quest so the way I understand it we don't have a multiverse, we just have one universe, the one where we play in, a universe where both the Operator and the Drifter exist because the Drifter was there when all other versions of our operator died.
I joined warframe in 2016 and I've seen so many content creators for warframe come and go. Bousefeenix, quite shallow etc. But I'm glad to see you're still making incredible videos for it man. I can't believe I've been playing a game I love for 7 years and I'm glad DE is still going hard in the point with it.
I started playing Warframe because of the way it looked. It reminded me of Dead Space and Ninja Gaiden which were two of my favorite games back then. What really sold me was the customisation for weapons by moding and the fashion frame.
As many others were not, I was certainly not ready to hear TotalBiscuits voice again. Shit brought me close to tears as I reflected on my gaming journey and how he and many other game journalists have changed and shaped my views in looking more critically at games while still finding the fun and enjoyment we all want and get out of them. Now to watch the rest of the video.
For me, Warframe is a giant lab to ideas, where you mainly experiments between warframes and weapons. That kept me going for so long, and still today. Also, Warframe has an intriguing sci-fi story, and we all waited patiently to see such story progress. The New War was such a huge milestone, that and MR30. It felt like reaching the peak of the Warframe decade. Let's see what's next
I have watched this game grow ever since the beginning. I'm glad I got a Founders pack, as I also did the same for Firefall before it got consumed and destroyed. It's grown so much, and I am so happy it has only succeeded. The story has been awesome as well, if not a bit complex.
Man firefall pissed me off so much because it had so much potential that was squandered. I played through multiple changes and eventually it just died to it's own dev hell but ah well. It's good to see that Warframe flourished well over the last decade though.
Found your videos almost 6 years ago trying to find the best builds for certain warframes and weapons, best farming locations, and the silly videos you would do with Jordas, Minx, and anyone else. Thank you for the fantastic videos!
Videos like this really puts into perspective how long I've played this game, on and off. Almost 9 years now, I remember waiting for the second dream, the amazing story reveals, the void tower, its all so fun and nostalgic to remember and I'm so glad the game has survived and grown to where it is now
i feel honored watching your video, its like digital extream team directly says thank you to me, but through you if that make sense........thanks for all your video all these years mate, cheers to another years to come for you, your family and for all the warframe community.
No longer play this game but I definitely enjoyed my 3000+ hours in the game and it will always be my all time favorite game even if I never play it again. Been a great 10 years
I've been playing since February 2016, and I would have been earlier if I wasn't so hesitant because I knew this damn game would suck me in and hold me; and i'm still here fuckin 7 years and probably about 1000USD later lmao
At least for me, my wanting raids back isn't rose tinted glasses. When I first tried the game, I didn't make it very far and nearly quit the game for good. My friend who had convinced me to try it, then convinced me to try the first raid. That raid is the reason I still play. I loved it and wish they'd bring them back.
@Tactical Potato Haha! It was an absolute buggy mess! Too many times those stupid platforms would bug out and not open the way forward and we'd have to restart. XD But, even with the bugs, the raids and the 2 hour long void key missions were my favorite part of the game at the time. I miss them. :)
Been playing since the War Within, couldnt be happier with the game, the devs have absolutely crushed it. I wanted to check it out back in high school but my dad's old laptop couldn't handle it. Fast forward to 2016, was going through a rough time and looking for a good mind numb, and happened to come acrosss Warframe again. After recognizing the art style/title I instantly downloaded it to check it out and I've been playing ever since. Best reveal moment in my videogame life experience was the Second Dream, since I didn't look up anything prior to that I was absolutely mind blown. Keep it up DE
Loved the video. Joined in 2016 and with all ups and downs, WF is the game I end up coming back to every time. Hopefully it'll keep improving and have a long life, bc I'm looking forward to Soulframe too.
I remember playing some time closer to beta, was such an interesting game that never really stuck for me. I'd come back every couple of years just to grind out some of the new content, each time the game would take leaps forward and fixing some of the issues of the updates before I got to play them. Coming back recently, the game really became a comfort game. something I know that I can just get on and enjoy the journey even if its grindy at times. I enjoy having a toolbox of items and frames, figuring out on my own some new ways to complete content to keep things interesting. Used to be in the crowd that wanted endgame content but I now have shifted to enjoying a journey of progression which Warframe does really well. Its a game about building up an arsenal, and it feels rewarding to have new ways to play since it means coming back to older content isn't a chore but rather a new way to experience some content
10 years ago i was finishing high school and playing Warframe. Tbf not much changed - still mentally high school and playing Warframe. What a journey it was.
Great retrospective, man! I haven't played since a bit before Scarlet Spear (Xbox woes), but ever since they announced cross-saves I've been stuck in a holding pattern of anticipation for the day when I can recover that account on PC. If nothing else, I hope you take heart in knowing that you've made me miss this game even more with this video, and set my desire to get back to this wonderful game up to 11. You bastard.
I found a video a while back ("what's this taking up 500Mb of my cloud storage?") of me getting stuck on an invisible wall for a bug report in November 2013. It's hard to believe how far it's come.
I know for me I clicked on this video to see how the game has done since I quite. I know to me the 'island' culture was absolutely destroying my interest within the game. I hatted the idea of putting so much time and effort into beefing up my warframes only to be told 'do that again but over here now, ohh and again but HEAR now'. The lack of utilizing the already existing content and making it so that it was fun to go back and do again absolutely destroyed me, and I got through scarlet spear before finally just not being able to do it anymore. I wanted to have a life, and when you decide to have a standard job for a living this game just didn't let you have that. Seems I made the right decision, while the systems and story seem to be rather interesting since then, hearing 'and then you jump to playing something that isn't your warframe, and then you do that again, and again, and again' has me just rolling my eyes into the infinite. The amount of power creep also introducing 'you can have one more ability that's from another warframe' like holy heck, while that sounds so cool that also sounds like they literally need to do the sentence above to make the game actually have gameplay. Which just...no thank you, I'll stick with my 6-8 hours a week in Destiny 2 and keep my life intact. But, at the same time I stuck around for 6-7 years, I got so many hours in it, and the game will still hold dear memories within my heart. Farming void keys for hours on end with the best builds so I could last within them as long as possible, feeling like I was rewarded for being a good player instead of punished with further dilution away from the core progression grind. I will hold those days in my heart until I'm old and decrepit, and even if warframe is no longer and will never be 'my warframe', I'm glad in a sense that it's still at least getting to tell it's story.
I remember almost quitting over Railjack because it was so brutal, but in it's current state where you can have NPCs that help with the guns and repairs, it's in a much much better place now and quite enjoyable to play.
I may not have played Warframe for atleast 3 years now due to work and such, but it's still the only game in my library raking a 2652 hrs in it. This game still have a special place in my gaming heart, hope I can have the same intensity of gaming to jump to the game again.
Ironically, i didnt have to grind for my railjack because i just joined an open crew to see what railjacks were all about, i got alot of resources, and when i built my own i had very few components to go get in regular missions. Like half an hour extra time ontop of doing the quest.
I stil remember the day I completed Second Dream. Trough some incompetence on my part it became an even greater experience than it would have been had I been smart. See, when your operator first crawls towards the warframe and you have to go extraction you can use the Operator to blast the sentients away. I didn't know that. I just walked slowly towards the exit. The mission is made so you cannot die, you just go down to 2hp. So there I was, holding my operator in arms, walking as if carrying a heavy burden, while sentients descended and pelted me with energy blasts as I walked towards extraction. I felt like Jesus carrying the cross to my own crucifixion. That's powerful. Very powerful.
Interesting, never even heard of jordas verdict. Started playing the game way after raids were removed, but I knew of Law of retribution, seems like it was way more popular.
I picked up Warframe back during Destiny 1's beta era, I think it was between 2 different beta weekends on ps4 and my friends and I saw this random free to play game and said sure lets give it a go. many hours of fun later I still play time to time, not as much as I would like to so many great times and amazing people met thanks to Warframe. Thanks for all the content over the years T.Potato and here's to many more.
Ive started playing warframe during the begining of fortuna at that time I got a switch and thought I could play this game since I saw it from skill up and recommended by my friends as well and its 2023 and I have more then 3 000 hours and no matter how many times I stop playing the game it will always be my comfort zone knowing full well I will have a good time
I remember starting warframe early in its life I don’t remember exactly when it was but I stopped playing for like 2 years cause there was no storyline and then I came back 2 years later js to see how the game was and it was so much better and the story is amazing now I can’t wait to see what they do
TotalBiscuit was the one who sold me on this game. As soon as I saw the mod system, that was it. I was in. Brilliant. I love the Warframes. Everything else - Railjack, Archwing, and especially the operator - falls flat for me. And because DE seems hell bent on focusing on non-WF stuff, I cant see myself playing much more. But its been fun thats for sure.
I've tried getting back into Warframe but every time I do, I just get overwhelmed by the sheer amount of stuff there is to do and the lack of direction, not to mention how weapons and builds I used to use regularly have been nerfed into oblivion and the convoluted network of drop tables and mission types I have to navigate to get a piece of gear I want. Still, I'm glad it's still going and that people enjoy it. This is probably one of the only live services that's actually lasted more than 10 years (anyone remember Anthem's "10 year journey"?).
Warframe's like family to me. All of yous - devs, streamers/youtubers, community. Warframe's been this game that I've been passionate about playing it. And one of the few which grind was enjoyable. Watching this video and even writing this comment gave me goosebumps. I regret only one thing - that I was dirt poor back when it released and haven't bought the founder's pack. Imo the best game and devteam across the entire gaming industry.
I have over 2000 hours logged into warframe such a fun game but I've not played since 2019 tbh got bored but I'm so pumped to come back for Duviri Paradox as it releases today
I still remember downloading this game on Xbox om a whim just because the cover looked kinda cool and because it was free of course but man I'm so glad I decided to try it out I genuinely loved the lore the game play amd everything about it warfram has to be one of my most favorite games amd honestly one of the best free games I've ever played I've loved being apart of this community and I'm so glad this game pulled through to be able to grow onto what it did today I hope to see it stay around for a long time to come
Incredible 10 years with ups and downs, and you've always been one of the content creator I go back to. I've followed you back then and stayed even when you started focusing on different games alongside Warframe. Here's to more years of fun, Tater! 13:25 Just a small note: that revelation was done years ago, through the Natah quest. We already knew she was a Sentient.
My biggest regret in gaming is not buying the founders pack when it was available, and not getting into Warframe on the day I made my account. I just didn't get into it and tried again a couple years later. I would give anything to get that founders pack added to my account
I haven't kept up with any updates since railjack so I had no idea really what happened since then. I've played the game now and then but I just did survival missions for fun. Nice to get a summary.
My biggest problems with Warframe can be boiled down to premium currency for mandatory item/ inventory slots and the (at times) unreasonable grind. Other than that I enjoyed the majority of my 1.3k hours, but haven't played the game for a few years now, I still love the spirit of the game though, so I keep up to date :)
i remember wanting to play warframe back in 2015 but i didnt even have a pc then i waited over 5 years and only got to play the game back in 2020 its been 3 years now that im playing it and its still as much fun as it was in 2020
I took a couple years off and it was interesting to get to the part of the story I haven't seen yet. I've been dusting off the account and doing some dailies and 10 year anniversary quests to ease my way back in. I love roguelikes so I'm very interested in seeing their take on one.
Having 8 frames was kind of awesome, but it fell flat on it's arse because the encounters were designed in such a way that you needed some specific frames if you wanted to get it done. Having at least 1 Trinity was mandatory as there was this one phase where you needed that 99% Blessing if you wanted to survive.
I was curious about this when it was announced because of the art style, but then when it came out the reviews were mediocre, so I kind of forgot about it until I saw Jim Sterling's review and decided to give it a go (Not long after the Plains of Eidolon expansion) - then I got hooked on it and after three months playing, I introduced My girlfriend to it and we've been playing it for 5 or 6 years now.
Great video, I'm always curious about the game's past, like "How did the void keys work?". I totally forgot how awesome the game has been cause it feels like quite a while since something exciting came out- I tore through the whole game in about a year, starting during Orphix Venom (I wish they would bring that back, I even built a Voidrig just after the event). Railjack absolutely blew my mind (maybe because it's not as buggy?) and Scarlett Spear sounds like part of the big raid that ties the whole game together that I've been dreaming about, hopefully it will happen one day.

2013-2015 i had such a blast with this game.... it will always have a special place in my heart..! I always come back to this game, even when i started new on another platform.
As a Warframe Founder that's been playing on and off since Update 8; this video was perfection. Keep fighting, Tenno.
Duviri does great job of queueing me to wrong bounties and missions as well as breaking Duviri undercroft. Truly 10 years of experience.
Been playing Warframe since late 2013. Started on ps4 now on pc. Definitely one of the games of all time.
Something i feel should have been mentioned is the dark sector conflicts, the different iterations it went through
I remember when Warframe had a pvp system that pitted clans against each other to take control over dark sectors to gain advertising via starmap. I really hoped they'd have brought that back some day. I think the dojo room still has a terminal dedicated to it which has just been completely useless this whole time
Dark sectors, such a long time ago. ❤
My heart melted hearing TB again. I loved his content and his words about Warframe got me into the game back in 2013. He said the game had potential and look where we are.
I remember how many tenno gathered to pay respect to Totalbiscuit at the Excalibur statues, it was honestly an incredible sight.
I can't believe its been 10 years since i was sitting in front of my computer contemplating if its worth to drop the money on a founder pack.
Hearing Total Biscuits voice is such a large amount of nostalgia - what an absolute legend
We've come a long way since Vayhek was a Grineer butcher on a Corpus tileset.
Been a great 10 years
6:28 With enough fantasy when you check the white roots above the extraction you can read " Rise"
I just got back into the game after a 2yr hiatus, I have no idea wtf I'm suppose to do
Ask for help, if none help though, cry in the corner rethinking your life choices, speakin from experience
Playing raids with friends and clan mates was great fun. But they were pretty buggy. Hopefully if they ever come back they'll be in a better state
@Tactical Potato Haha! It was an absolute buggy mess! Too many times those stupid platforms would bug out and not open the way forward and we'd have to restart. XD
But, even with the bugs, the raids and the 2 hour long void key missions were my favorite part of the game at the time.
Crazy I’ve been playing this game since I was 12, I’m 19 now growing up with this game and seeing it expand even more is so awesome
10 years, what a ride it's been. Glad I stuck with it when I got to play the beta all those years ago.
Excellent Video Tac. Warframe will always have a special place in my heart.
Damn. Still remember the stamina ERA!
...
I quit Warframe around 5 years ago and now I'm hooked up again more than ever before 😂
I remember almost quitting over Railjack because it was so brutal, but in it's current state where you can have NPCs that help with the guns and repairs, it's in a much much better place now and quite enjoyable to play.
fantastic recap dude. its been a crazy ride.
10 years... it's amazing to think. And I haven't even been here the whole time. But I've been around since before the removal of the tower keys!
4:52 RIP N00b :(
I stil remember the day I completed Second Dream.
These past 10 years have been great. I look forward to the next 10 years...
It sure has been quite the journey. Here's to 10 more, Tenno! 🎉
Ive started playing warframe during the begining of fortuna at that time I got a switch and thought I could play this game since I saw it from skill up and recommended by my friends as well and its 2023 and I have more then 3 000 hours and no matter how many times I stop playing the game it will always be my comfort zone knowing full well I will have a good time
Still playing WF currently. Its been a long 10 years. Can't believe i started this game 10 years ago.
Holy shit you utter bastard. Was not prepared for that TB intro. Thank you for the feels.
I have over 2000 hours logged into warframe such a fun game but I've not played since 2019 tbh got bored but I'm so pumped to come back for Duviri Paradox as it releases today
i remember downloading the game straight after mmohut released a video on it and i was happy to find out it was coming to ps4 aswell
I still remember downloading this game on Xbox om a whim just because the cover looked kinda cool and because it was free of course but man I'm so glad I decided to try it out I genuinely loved the lore the game play amd everything about it warfram has to be one of my most favorite games amd honestly one of the best free games I've ever played
I've loved being apart of this community and I'm so glad this game pulled through to be able to grow onto what it did today I hope to see it stay around for a long time to come
Incredible 10 years with ups and downs, and you've always been one of the content creator I go back to. I've followed you back then and stayed even when you started focusing on different games alongside Warframe. Here's to more years of fun, Tater!
13:25 Just a small note: that revelation was done years ago, through the Natah quest. We already knew she was a Sentient.
Oh, wow crazy hearing TB's voice after so long. He got me into Warframe, and a lot of other great games.
Great flash back video!
Railjack is the greatest thing added IMO and the Tempestarii is THE best, most powerful questline in the game. That song still makes me cry.
This is a great video, thank you for making this
i remember wanting to play warframe back in 2015 but i didnt even have a pc then i waited over 5 years and only got to play the game back in 2020 its been 3 years now that im playing it and its still as much fun as it was in 2020
That Total Biscuit intro....made me tear up
I took a couple years off and it was interesting to get to the part of the story I haven't seen yet. I've been dusting off the account and doing some dailies and 10 year anniversary quests to ease my way back in. I love roguelikes so I'm very interested in seeing their take on one.
I've moved on at this point, but I'll never forget playing this game early then. Still consider my Excalibur Prime one of my fondest digital items
As someone who wasn't around for raids, who only started in late 2019... I'd love to see raids come back, that sounds awesome
Having 8 frames was kind of awesome, but it fell flat on it's arse because the encounters were designed in such a way that you needed some specific frames if you wanted to get it done.
Having at least 1 Trinity was mandatory as there was this one phase where you needed that 99% Blessing if you wanted to survive.
one hell of a banger tater... crazy to think about it's been so long already.
Had so much fun with the game, i feel like beta was yesterday.... damm.
That Second Dream BGM still gives me goosebumps.
I was 13 When this game out and now im 22. Soon to be 23. This feels very surreal.
There’s something wonderful about the Warframe community, and I think the song really puts it in perspective: “We all lift together.”
