I’ve got to say I’ve watched so many golf coach videos and I liked how you explained your shots and skills. Very informative and thorough. You didn’t race through anything and it was excellent in my opinion from a viewer. I have subscribed and will be watching more regularly. 10/10 👌
Georgia, you are a gem of a coach! I can’t wait to try out my trusty 7iron - I’d never have thought to’ve even tried it. I appreciate the way you don’t assume knowledge in your pupils. More please!
I've always struggled with chipping but, following your video lesson, I went out today and never duffed one. Many thanks Georgia. I've now subscribed for more of your wisdom. 😊
Hi Georgia, Thank you so much for your videos. After watching your video on driving the ball off the tee I played today and followed all of your tips and actually did better!
Hi, Georgia, my name is Rob from California. I just wanted to thank you for your golf videos. You do a great job explaining the various aspects of golf in an easy to understand way. Bravo! 🤠
Georgia many thx. It helps me immensely to understand how far YOU are from ball to hole, then from ball to green, your selection of landing area on green and distance ratio of pitch to roll. BUT most important is the distance. I never know how far my chip will go, then tighten up result screw up. M- I started golf at 20 (over 50 years ago) - my 9 iron and I were best friends around the green. I can gauge your swing speed by distance of back swing and your tempo. But if I don’t know how far the ball has travelled I can’t simulate what you show as I don’t have the end distance achieved. Keeping the butt end pointed at your leading hip pocket through rotation - priceless and something I can visualise. I have 35 yards in my rear garden to practice. I look forward to reply and your next video post. Thx again.
You’re very welcome Robert - thanks for watching! ⛳️ As I say on the video, most of time I was probably around 5 yards from the green, and then another 5/10 to the pin. From my experience, I know on average how far I hit each club (including wedges) from having a club fit and doing my stock yardages each season so for me I know through practise how far a half swing or 1/4 swing would get me with these clubs. I would recommend making sure you know exactly how far you hit each club and most of all practise that feel of chipping with the different clubs I showed on the video so you don’t have to think much about it on the course, you kind of just know the right club and shot 😊 hope this helps!
yes this is a method of chipping , a la Jason Day but there are other methods equally efficient. For example I use the hinge and hold method and it works perfectly well for me also in pitch shots.I am a low hp player but my girlfriend which has 24 hp learned it easily so it is not so difficult to implement it
Georgia, A couple of days of practicing your chipping technique with a slightly open clubface has greatly improved my chipping. A pitching video would also be helpful. Thank you!
Thanks Georgia, golf as it is an impossible game to master hence those who can keep it simple and uncomplicated are critical. Keep it up with more nice videos. Thanks
Thx very much. I misunderstood distance to green as 5-10, not 5 + 10. My clubs are always fitted - I’m not too tall! I do know all yardage except chips- up to your video. Watch this space. Thank you again.
I'd like to have my thanks for this video as well. I never really knew how to initiate a chip shot. And I can see how useful it is. I hope you are able to make a video on pitch shots.
Use a lob or sand wedge with more bounce, move the ball slightly back in your stance, and keep weight on your front foot ⛳️ Tough especially when it’s thick but focus on a steep, firm downward strike to avoid the club getting stuck in the thick grass ☺️
Hi can you help me on another problem? I have wrote to you before so my help needed is I now seem to be skiing my ball at tee off. I have a driver at 11.5 degree and for some reason I have started to tee off with a very high and not so long. As I said before I am in my 80th year?? That is no reason but can you advise if possible regards Peter Hoffman NZ
Hey Peter! It’s difficult to say exactly what the solution would be or truly diagnose a problem without looking at your swing/ seeing it properly ⛳️ I would advise checking the basics such as set up, grip and alignment as the majority of the time one of these will be off and causing bad shots 👏
Peter, check that your ball tee height maintains the equator of the ball just above the top of the driver head. Slow your swing back for the first 18 inches then swing down and through the bottom of the swing to the top of your swing in one swoop; if that makes sense. I am going to believe that either your ball is teed up too high or you have a steep downswing getting under the ball. I hope one of this helps.

I kept thinking you were saying Chip Shop 🤣
What do you think about using Chippers? I Have one but get some funny looks when using it
They’re now legal to use on the course but I personally don’t use one ☺️ if it works for you, then do what works best ⛳️
meant to ask Georgia ,have you vid on hitting iron properly please?
Yes I do Jon! It’s on my channel 😊
My chipping is always so inconsistent. Will try this out. Thanks.
You’re welcome 😊 enjoy!
How do you feel about a open stance while chipping?
Yes great! Just depends on what type of chip ⛳️
Any suggestions for chip out of Bermuda grass in late summer which is real thick and knarly?
Use a lob or sand wedge with more bounce, move the ball slightly back in your stance, and keep weight on your front foot ⛳️ Tough especially when it’s thick but focus on a steep, firm downward strike to avoid the club getting stuck in the thick grass ☺️
Could have done with this video today

Yes for sure Beth ☺️

I’ve been using a 56 for those shots. I need to shorten my swing tho
Love it! 😊
Are you using 54 degree?. Lovely ❤
Using a mixture of clubs here 😊

do you ever find you have to swing just a bit harder if the rough is really thick compared to what you showes here?
I guess that depends on the conditions and the course ☺️⛳️
