Hey Food Box HQ family! Today we're unboxing Omaha Steaks. Chances are you've probably heard of Omaha Steaks before. They're one of the longest running mail-order steak delivery companies out there. However, what a lot of people don't know is that they offer way more than just steaks. They all types of popular meats (chicken, pork, turkey, fish), sides, soups, snacks, desserts, and more.
We ordered a box with a variety of these foods to give you an idea of what else they offer:
- Filet Mignon Burgers
- Bacon-Wrapped Chicken Breasts
- Butternut Squash Risotto
- Filet Mignon Pastry Bites
- Bone-In New York Strips
- Chocolate Molten Lava Cakes
One thing to note is that Omaha Steaks can be a little expensive. To give you an example, our 2 NY strip steaks were around $60.
That being said, you're paying for quality. Everything we cooked in this video was delicious (even though we slightly overcooked the burgers). The chocolate molten lava cake was SO good!

We did the omaha thankgiving pack and it was amazing. Even the greenbeans were somehow amazing and better than any ive ever had lol. its expensive but i think its worth it.
What are the balls? What's in them and how do you cook them? I can't find info on them anywhere.

I'm interested in going mostly carnivorous for a few weeks and looking at what's the best price for bulk steak buying. Wondering if these delivery services are something to consider compared to local butchers???
Definitely worth considering. I actually wouldn't recommend Omaha Steaks for something like that. I would, on the other hand, recommend services like Crowd Cow, Rastelli's, and even Porter Road. Are you able to just go into a Omaha store and pickup instead of delivery
Every summer I go to the Omaha Zoo. They have a outside restaurant that grills the Omaha Steaks hamburgers. I always get a couple burgers while visiting the zoo.
It looks good! How was the mouthfeel of the burger? I assume a filet mignon burger might be on the mushier side and make me nauseous 😅
Definitely tastes richer than a burger but the texture was basically the same, nothing quite different that I could tell surprisingly!
Omaha is my butcher for about two years its really good quality taste. They also have specials i usually take advantage dont miss out.
I never have eaten those fancy burgers but they are on the way. Cant wait!

I've been seeing so many negative reviews on them, online, that I'm just scared to purchase them . . .
To be honest, in my opinion there are higher quality meat delivery services out there. Check out Crowd Cow, Porter Road, or Rastelli's (we have reviews on all 3). They're great alternatives. There's a 100% guarantee on them. Let's say you absolutely hate what you get (doubt it) ... then you call.... *shrug*
Try their breakfast sausage, literally the best breakfast links i have had!! I go to the omaha store and get them quite often. I have tried most of the meat and chicken and it is just not worth the price. The burgers are not good at all. The steaks are meh. The chicken is good,its juicy but the portions are so small. I've heard from more tgan a few people the steaks are hit or miss. For the price they charge they should NEVER be a miss. Everything is subjective to your taste so i say give it a try, but at least order the breakfast sausage , imo its the best thing they sell.
It's cheaper then the super market. Yes, maybe it wasn't t three years ago.
Luckily the pricing is not that bad. It's like eating out but you make it at home.
Received a very nice gift this Christmas. The Top Sirloin Steaks were tough as nails. Won't be ordering from Omaha anymore. They use to be pretty good. I love their Chix Fried Steak. But this last order was not good. R149.00 for what? Definitely NOT worth the money. Not even for free.
One constant is wherever you go for food, someone will say how it used to be better years ago....and every 4 or 5 years, there's a new batch saying how "they use to be pretty good...". You got a bad batch. These aren't manufactured. These were living creatures at one time. There's a 100% guarantee...get a replacement.

I really like Omaha Steaks. Their filets have been great.
I just got my cooler in the mail today 5-16-22 . Five days old according to the packaging slip $200 worth of meat. They forgot the dry ice. Everything was thawed. You can’t refreeze it. I threw everything in the garbage. Somebody was Careless so Sad. 😞 I’ll never order from these people again.
Please tell me that you have called Omaha Steaks, gave them your ordering info & took a picture of the packaging, to show that there was no dry ice to keep the meat edible? Please tell me you will be getting a refund?
@@charisepurifoy2146 Already been taken care of. Yes they were contacted and corrected the problem. Sent a new cooler with No extra charge because it was their fault. The new cooler came frozen solid this time. It’s just sad 😞 that I had to throw all that meat away. Approx. $150 plus worth of meat. You can’t refreeze it. So sad this happened.

Omaha is not worth it. Still haven’t got our order and get run around when we call. They are not worth the trouble.

Vegetarian dishes are the best, specially if people do NOT want to spend a lot.
The Cordon Bleu has a breading on it as thick as a tortoise shell. Once it's hacked into you are treated to dry chicken, skint ham, a blob of cheese. Totally disappointing. We have also tried the lasagna. Trust me, it's on barely on par with EVERY other frozen lasagna. Just not a fan. Tried the sirloins and they were pretty decent, but way over priced. This stuff is expensive. Do the math on your per pound cost!
Yeah budjit this ain't. It's 90 freekin $ you got to order minimum. It's also apparently not something you just could grab just cause. Again cause you have to mix and match a buntch of stuff. The cake sounds yummy.
Yeah the prices are definitely high. I think there are better values like Crowd Cow, Rastelli’s, Porter Road.

The filets are the best in the world. Hands down
I contacted Omaha Steaks and they Do Not stand behind there money back Guarantee. The burger tasted like rubber, the steaks are wrapped in bacon. I don't recommend these products.. I am only talking about A 119 dollar order.

Were you given a special discount or sent free items to produce this video? Did you benefit in any way? Did you order these items just like any other person who gets emails? This stuff is awfully expensive for normal, average, everyday folks unless you make 80-100K per year. I want to know the truth about why this video was created and what your package cost you. I would love to see the receipt. If you paid for that box without discounts then you probably paid over 200$ or more. The average per person per month is between 200 to 360 depending on what state you live in.
Checkout the link to the full review in the description. We gave it 3.3/5 stars. It’s expensive and the don’t tell you much about the sourcing or quality of the meats. Crowd Cow is a good alternative.

So it’s burgers not actual steaks I just got it in
