I want to buy online, but so far they all seem to be twice the price of store bought.
They are usually at least twice the price of store bought. Financially, you'd be better off buying steaks from your local butcher or grocery store and learning how to cook them to your personal taste. They are easy to cook, and you'll end up making them better than your local steakhouse too.

I ordered Omaha steaks for my mother. She got an extra portion of potatoes and tarts. But no fillets. “Omaha potatoes and tarts” Refused to send steaks and only refund a portion of the payment I sent them. Costco doesn’t “ hold the steaks” when you buy from them.
@@alquinn3562 I love products from both Costco and Omaha Steaks. But at the end of the day, I'm going with Costco as the undisputed champion of customer service.
Not true. Actually, flipping twice is better, and if you have thick meat (like me) thrice is better.
I do appreciate the comparisons. I actually agree with your daughter's assessment. The Costco steak was a little tougher and less flavorful than the Omaha steak, but still juicy.
It's funny because steak vs steak, it's a close call.
If you were to do Kirkland brand vs Omaha Steaks for their other products, I wonder what people would think. 🤔🤔🤔
They are both the same. I asked years ago at the Omaha Steaks store at Westroads Mall in Omaha. At the time, both get their meat from Iowa Beef Packers or Conagra.
That is interesting. But I believe Omaha dry ages their steaks whereas grocery stores do not. So I believe that is where the flavor difference comes from.
For someone who really likes a tender and medium rare, cub, costco, even hyvee, steaks seem much tougher than omaha. Maybe because you are paying more, your brain is expecting more, but I really believe omaha is better
No doubt I believe most people would agree that Omaha is a better steak. But is the difference in taste worth the extra cost? You can try the experiment yourself and see which one is more worth it.
Omaha Steaks are definitely NOT worth the money at any price. Have done way better with the local Grocery Store.

Omaha steaks SUCK. do not ever waste your money on OMAHA STEAKS! As a gift, it’s like, ya we love you. BUT omaha steaks suck so bad, I won’t even eat them. You’d think their hot dogs would be good? DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM OMAHA STEAKS!!
Hi Thomas. Most people I know agree that they are not worth the price. Even "on sale" they are still 4 times the price of a grocery store steak.
I feel bad for people who buy Omaha steaks. I did once. NEVER AGAIN!
