Harrop Tacoma Supercharger Install

- In this video you will see the brand new Harrop supercharger for the 3rd Gen Tacoma! This kit is very well put together and very well thought out.
This install was done at Tru Automotive in Denver Colorado. This shop does a lot of the work on my truck and if you're in Colorado they're worth the drive to get work done to yours.
You can do this install in your garage if you are mechanically inclined and know what you're doing with aftermarket products.
After install we did some dyne runs and transmission tuning so the tune is dialed in for these trucks. We gained about 40% WHP and 20%WTQ going from 198WHP and 220WTQ to 275WHP and 270WTQ. This was all at an elevation of about 6,000ft here in Colorado.

Anytime man and the truck has been performing amazing! It’s actually fun to drive and faster than regular traffic which is nice lol. Getting up to 80mph is a breeze even on 37s. Yeah their warranty should be pretty competitive

I really want to see how this kit compares to the Magnuson supercharger
Driveablilty this tune is way better. Just go look at the graphs from both superchargers. The numbers will be different because I think they did theirs on a stock Tacoma and at sea level but look at the power curve of the chargers and percentage of power gained. Both are great superchargers but this one shines with the better tune and not having to pay a tuner to dial it in like the magnuson.
Totally on the fence because I have not driven a supercharged 3rd gen from Harrop or Magnuson. But you obviously prefer Harrop? Have you driven a Magnuson 3rd gen? If so, your experience?
@@JesusWSalazar I have and the tune is much better on the Harrop. It’s a lot more drivable and the fuel cut offs are in the right spots so you have power throughout the power band. They both use Eaton’s tvs technology but where the magnuson really falls short is their tune. I also thing the Harrop looks 100x better as well
I know Magnussen gives you a three year 30,000 mile warranty does Harrop give you the same thing?@@The_dark_yota
Does this kit utilize stock fuel injectors and spark plugs?
Yes it does. The injectors actually pump plenty of fuel for the system
