  • Join me as I finally make a new video after a summer long battle with my health!
Keswick Station is a beautiful old station ont he former Cockermouth ,Keswick & Penrith ;ime that was closed in 1972 after a rather strange history/ I take a walk around this old station and view what is left and what the future may hold for this once busy station.

Great to see. When I lived up there in 83 the station was a railway museum. There are still plans to reopen the line but I wonder how practical it is. I walked part of the line which has now been washed away in floods. Great to see it now.

Thanks for watching. I am hoping to return soon to film the walk as well but physio first!! Lovely area and a beautiful old place. I think it could reopen as an unmanned stop but that's about all unfortunately.

It’s really nice to see you out and about, and making videos like this. I was last in Keswick 4 years ago and wasn’t aware of the railway trail then. Definitely one to explore on my next visit. Please take care and look after yourself, and thanks for putting this up.

So good to have you back again Middy, I`ve really missed you and was checking on your chanel every day to see if there was anything new, I hope that you are feeling better and on the way back to full health again. Anyway you`ve certainly chosen a beautiful part of Engliand to kick off. Excellent job, well done.We used to love having holidays in the Lake District when we lived in Derby England. That line would make a fantastic heritage line if it could be restored, but I would think that there is probably part now built on with houses and/or roadways. Good luck and best wishes to you,Sam and Daisy.

Good to see you back. A nice video lovely station pity there's no trains. That line would have made a perfect heritage line. Hope you are fully recovered recovered soon. Look after yourself.

Thank you and thanks for watching. It's all going ok so far hopefully more videos to follow now! Considering the amount of traffic in the town it would still make sense fully operational! I agree though a heritage line would have been the perfect addition to the town

Good to see you back! Really enjoyed this and went off to the disused stations site and read up/perused photos. What a lovely station it was...I hope at least part if not all can be re-opened either as a branch or heritage at some point, it would surely be good to visitors, locals and the economy of the area. Take care, and get Daisy to take you for some more walks to disused stations and lines!
