  • Did you know that black tea is made of the same plant as green tea? The difference is only that black tea is fermented. I have always enjoyed drinking herbal teas but after I tried fermenting fruit tree leaves and making tea out of them I like it even more. In this video I share how to make fermented tea out of fruit tree leaves.

Neat idea. When pruning, take all those leaves for tea instead of throwing away.

In the spring the leaves are more aromatic I find but anytime is fine

Can you please tell me For how long did you dehydrate and at what temperature ?

    • @KitchenGardenTherapy

That would be different depending what dehydrator you have. Just use herb setting, for me it’s 95F. Also different leaves take different time. Quince leaves took the longest I think about 12 hours.

Guess I can't do it, I don't have a food dehydrater and I can't afford to buy one. I'm broke. That's why I wanted to make free tea.

Use your oven at its lowest setting and keep the oven door cracked open

I don’t use dehydrator, I do put them on glass plates ( don’t like using paper towels) leave them on the counter, they will dry really well, 🙇‍♀️
