As controversial as it might sound I feel that the Britain and America should not have withdrawn their troops. As the defenders and protectors of liberty and freedom it rather shameful that the people of Afghanistan have been abandoned and left to the mercy of the taliban.

The effort was to move the chaos from inside of the airport to outside. The title was spot on.
as i said i too came to london as an immigrant, had to evacuate from my island 20 yeas ago due to a volcano eruption, i was grateful that london grant us settlement. I know all countries have their own problem, but if i was staring fear and anxiety in its face if i remain in that country, i would be happy if any country can accept me, drop me in the middle of the ocean providing that i will be rescue , just get me out of AFGHAN!!

I recall president Reagan saying "what better people to arm than these brave Afghan jihadis who are fighting the foreign occupier".
All those people are desperate to get out of Afghanistan because they know the Taliban will never keep their word. The Taliban will undo all the progress achieved by the allied forces. What’s even more disappointing and despicable is how Afghan forces, who not only outnumbered and outgunned the Taliban, just laid their weapons down or did nothing to stop the Taliban.
