I realised that eating out in SG or food in general is pretty cheap since I left the country back in 2016 and moved here in NZ. That $13 laksa would cost $25 here! I miss SG food and will be visiting next January. Can’t wait 😊
Good luck 🤞🍀. You moved to sg, me I moved out 😊. So happy to finally left the island 🏝️ and went to neighbouring country, it was so stressful staying in SG, crowded, people face are always stressed, everywhere queuing because everyone going to the same places, so hot 🥵, and I don't mention rent or prices😮. I felt that everyone is a robot living in their bubble.
@rommyshabby3959 next door.. Kuala Lumpur 😊. Rather Similar to sg but in much better in many aspects. Prices for one, can get a very sizeable condo in the golden triangle for almost nothing. People are more friendlier, lay back and relax and smiling. And KL is definitely bigger in size. I been living in KL for like 14y now after 3y in SG.
Ooh where did your man get his black bag?? Also, the quality in your vlogs are amazing! I felt like I was watching a movie girl. I'm coming to Singapore for a semester in January and your vlog is making me so excited haha
Hi Sophie, wishing you and family a Happy & Prosperous Lunar New Year. May you all be blessed with good luck and good health in the Year of the Rabbit. Gong Xi Fa Cai!
Hey Sophie. Thank you so much for making this video. I am also thinking of doing a Master's in Singapore (probably at SMU) but am concerned about costs. Can I ask how much you are paying for tuition and rent? Where are some of the cheaper places to live?
SMU is in the heart of the city, so unless the university can offer you preferential rates on student accoms nearby, you're going to have to commute at least 30/45mins away for affordable rent outside the city center. Public transport is very affordable, but do bear in mind that trains to downtown can be really packed during peak hours, so I would definitely avoid 9am lectures. Another SMU specific thing is that you can expect to pay more for food as well since it's in the city center.. conversely, it also means you have far more choice and variety. In terms of tuition, SMU is American-styled, so the cost is pretty similar. For rental, if you look at our train map as a rough guide, any neighborhood station outside the ring of the Yellow Circle Line will generally be more affordable with some exceptions. SMU is served by City Hall/ Dhoby Ghaut/ Bencoolen and Bras Basah stations so you can gauge your travel time.
Thank you so much for the detailed explanation! I'll be joining SMU this August. I'm currently looking for accommodation! Thanks again for taking time out and explaining everything ❤️
Hi Sophie! Will be moving to SG soon too, and was wondering if you have a recommended place for brows, and a recommended dermatologist clinic? :) Really hoping for your recos. Thanks a lot~
I have been researching all these while for a digital asset investment and I found cryptocurrency to be the most profiting of them all I'm definitely bouncing on the opportunity thank you so much
