Looks amazing - I am thoroughly jealous. I have a Volvo V70 and a Freelander 2, but I would love a disco 3. I'm still not brave enough to take on a project like this, but Autotrader is winking at me... 😂

I'm a big fan of the V70, the Disco3 is a great truck but does always have a slight issue of one sort or another. A bit like the V70 and ABS!

Really good to see some really practical fixing of an LR3. Been hooked on Its LR Time for a long while and am fairly certain I’ll be hooked to you to. Most of us are not really able to do the stuff that Christian and Vera do. But we can certainly do what you do to our LR3’s. Thank you so much.

I've been wanting a D3 for ages now but can't afford one at the moment but getting closer :-) How about the Mantec wheel spacers for it and putting bigger front disks and 4 or 6 pot callipers and get rid of the bellows as they seem to get stuff a lot. Great series so far.

I'm really enjoying the Disco 3 videos, thinking about add-on. What about a roof mounted light bar, split battery power to power the light bar, and fridge , extra interior storage, ie, pull out draw system mounted in rear, extra power points,

My only suggestion. Is there an aftermarket "Wind Deflector" that can be placed in front of the roof box, to cut down wind resistance. Thus improving fuel economy 🤷‍♂🤷‍♂ See you in the next one.

Excellent video. I recently fitted bars and a roof top tent. Unfortunately I didn’t think it through first, as I wished I’d fitted the roof rail attachments I got from powerful uk, so they had to go on in between the bars. I would have preferred them on the outside. This will enable be to attach a bar(old roof rack bar), which I’ve fitted rivnuts at either end, and, one on the opposite side to hold a light. This will then go under the tent, and will enable a tarp, or with a kadar rail, a drive away awning to be fitted

We bought an LR3 and immediately the injectors needed replacing - how much !!!, then spurious warning lights would pop up, then like yours the suspension needed fixing. We eventually threw in the towel and bought a very reliable (and cheap) Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2. Of course it's not as pretty as the LR but at least we can go places without stressing out. Underneath the Hyundai is rust free unlike the LR which looked tired and rusty. If only LR could go the extra mile and protect these cars and make them reliable..... if they did, they would rule the world

That looks really fantastic! It looks like a really upmarket Discovery now, I have found that the plastic rejuvenators the t few weeks, then quickly revert to dull lifeless things, but if you hit them with a hot air gun they stay looking good for months,(mine have not yet gone back to dull after 3 months of 35 deg heat), so I will be using the heat gun from now on, the Magwires products I have found after extensive trials to be totally useless, nothing more than scented water it appears! Stay safe ,Chris B.

As far as the plastics, most trim restorers only last a few weeks and the heat gun method will make your plastics brittle after repeated use. Best to use some of the more expensive restorers, and follow the instructions in detail. Some I would recomend are malco epic revice, solution finish and owatrol polytrol

Liking these videos, have you checked the sills under the plastic covers? I hear they can rot out. Perhaps some rust converter and waxoyl type treatment before the winter? Also, a spruce-up of those wheels would tidy the exterior looks. Not that I'm trying to find you work to do ;-)

    • @LRLiveUK
