That face during physio! Ouch I know the feeling. Thanks for sharing all the ups and downs contrary to what some people think, we are not robots but delicate flesh and bones. Good luck on race day, I'll be routing for you!

Again thanks for the insight. I really appreciate your team.
Congratulations on the win!
How can you not love these two! Be great if you could share/publish some of your home workout ideas and routines using minimal equipment. I’m sure many of us could benefit, and would be highly appreciative 🙏🏻
Well done Lucy, you smashed it!
Bam! Awesome watching you bring the prep and talent for success into fruition.....exciting but also saw it coming, your strength is phenomenal.....great form all day!
I commented before the Lola cameo at 9:10. Lola!!!! This video was already a 10 out of 10, now it's now shot up to 100. Thanks for that.
@Reece’s question- when your body fights off an infectious agent, one of your bodies mechanisms to fight it off is to heat up your blood and cool down. Its why you get a fever and chills, this maybe the reason for the glucose fluctuations in your blood readings
Go Go Go Lucy!! Best of luck!! Congrats Reece for the 2nd place and thank you Holly for the videos, they are amazing!!!
Loved Reece's insights on the altitude impacts. Thanks team and congrats Lucy!

Amazing race today!! Huge congrats!!!
Omg Lucy!!! I had the WORST migraine all day yesterday due to the dry weather and maybe altitude. I thought i was gonna have to bail, but bounced back today. So glad you're still racing too! Kill it!

Lucy just keeps getting stronger. Can’t wait to see what you can do at 35!
That video was really inspiring. I caught a cold and could not do my last 2 sessions. Tomorrow is the last long run before my first marathon. In my mind I was freaking out, but thanks to your advice and shared experience, I feel better already. Good luck for your race. Evelyn 🇩🇪
Great content and footage. Thanks for sharing. Inspirational
Your run form looks better than ever, Looking forward to see you smash it !!🔥🔥💪
That mention of Sierra Nevada just made me think about the hell that is GB Rowing altitude camps that they have there
I can not watch your videos in the late evening😅. I always want to go out again and train! Realy enjoy all of your content. Keep on going. A big fan!

Great job Holly for these videos
Glad you're both feeling better. That's quite the list! I'm sure that it wasn't fun when you were going through it but heartened to hear you both come out the other side so positively, better adapted to altitude, and ready to go! Best wishes for executing St George to your liking. You're gonna smash it!
Well done Reece in your 2nd place in the half!!! Good luck Lucy. Looks like it's been a great training move at altitude. 👍🏻
I can't wait to watch you race Lucy!! You are going to TOTALLY SMASH it!! Let's go!!💪🦸♀️🏊♀️🚴♀️🏃♀️😁👏 I am glad you shared that going into races sometimes you have to overcome some adversity before making it to the start line! Super helpful for people entering triathlon to know it doesn't always go so smooth but you can still overcome, have a great race, and build confidence!! I'm glad you and reece are getting some altitude training in! The altitude training will help prep the body for the race! #TeamCharlesBarclayIsAwesome
Hey! I’m so excited!!! I was over there and saw that you had signed next to your name!!!! Your gonna do great!!! We’re cheering for you!!
Good luck Lucy.
Congratulations
Congrats
Amazing video. Good luck on race day. Reece mentioned supplements for altitude, what were you using?
Thank-you for sharing your experience in Utah brilliant content ! Have the most amazing race on Saturday Lucy 🤩 p.s loving the Lola socks 🐶
Shame about Sierra Nevada. Loved it there when I went with the synchro team as a coach.
Diabetics do see an increase in blood sugar levels when unwell
Lucy has this adorable playful side that is just so charming, check out how she runs at 4:41
Lot’s of dedication here, It definitely pays off at the end, UK-Dolphin you are an amazing Athlete no doughs about it.
Love the videos, good luck for the race
My first ever race is on Sunday. This has really inspired me to absolutely go hyperdrive and smash it or die trying. :0 (I mean hopefully not!) Such good luck. You’ll be amazing.
Loved it and came pretty high up so absolutely chuffed to bits. Yay! Lucy though….whaaaaaat…..????? Just watched it as a reward and wow 🤩 Absolutely incrrrrrrrredible!!!!!!! Jaw dropping.
Great video guys. Lots of varied sessions subjects and learnings.
Can you please provide some details of your day to day training relative to altitude. Ie, 5 days easy training at lower altitude, then X sessions @ X altitude on X days.. Also do you do any IHE or altitude tent sleeping when at sea level?
Thanks in advance and all the best at 70.3 worlds.
Greetings from Guatemala! I do not miss any video, but I would like you to enable the option to translate into Spanish in the last videos that have been uploaded because it has not allowed me to do it for a couple of months, thank you, you are an inspiration.
Love the videos ,good luck xxxxx
Reece, when you get sick, your body naturally produces additional glucose, providing energy to fight the infection. The flu can also cause the body to release stress hormones (adrenaline and cortisol), which reduce the effectiveness of insulin, which is responsible for lowering glucose levels. Combined, these two effects can result in an increase in glucose, making it difficult to reduce it to levels considered normal.
Lucy, good luck at 70.3 Worlds!
Thanks for the explanation, makes sense
I really enjoyed seeing your weight training set-up: a few weights and a band to build muscle. Inspiring to know you don't need fancy equipment or gym memberships to train well.
Can you start adding the songs in the show notes? Always love the tunes!
Shazam them
So many of them are by Ooyy, if you look them up on RUclips/Spotify, you'll find them :)
You're gonna smash it 👊🏻🤩
Hey guys, does anyone know what model is Lucy’s blue sunglasses when she was doing the intervals around the lake loop ? Thanks 🙏
I caught a cold aswell… I was also wondering about my low heart rate since I usually can maintain really high hr over longer periods of time
Lucy is a professional triathlete and Ironwoman - fullstop
Well this didn't age well !
Everything went right, congrats on your first WC Lucy, dominant gun to tape win !
Migraine is awful, I only get a couple a year, usually when tired, stressed and run down.
Puts me in a dark room for a day…
at 4:24, I like the seat cushion as a front tire riser.
First .. Go TC-B 💯 Fab front wheel block for the trainer 👌
lol at the dead fish. is there a camera team with you or are you doing all the shots alone?
Lucy's sister Holly is her official photog/videographer
Good luck this weekend, Lucy!
I'm curious, who makes the black sports bra with the white-and-yellow flowers? I love the pattern and I want to get one!
Light headed getting off the cough sounds like orthostatic hypotension (low blood pressure-90/60 or lower) as opposed to blood glucose level.
You're blood glucose will be affected by illness or stress. It's normal for it to go higher when you are sick, especially if you have a temperature. As for the low readings, your body might have been working extra hard to cope with the training whilst sick.
Maybe the migraine was because of altitude and your body adapting. It happened to me the first time i went to altitude for training. Good luck at worlds YOU'RE GOING TO SMASH IT!
watching from the philippines ❤
Hey, sorry I am not an English native speaker, is "we was" and *he don't" something common to say in their region/ hometown or is it like a slang ?
Yes, I think you're correct. I noticed that, also. More regional way of phrasing. Not how I would speak as an American from my area...
Reece, sounds like you need to even out that downhill half marathon with an uphill one. We have a local race called Pier to Peak which starts at the ocean and finishes over 1200m above sea level... Just saying!
CRUSH IT 💪🏽❗️❗️❗️
I had three weeks of stomach problems after my second anti-covid vaccine. I know it was that because I had a glimpse of it after the first one and I could recognize the symptoms...Also lost my appetite in that phase. It disappeared slowly during the time of one month...
Interesting I had some similar symptoms after taking the vaccine after several months. Curious how many people have had similar symptoms. Could it be because of the high intensity training?!
No, those are viral symptoms, they probably had COVID but being so fit they cleared it in a week.
the cold that litteraly all europe had xD
Goodluck Lucy
lucy try this song in the next vid "casulalidad - pedro capo&sofia reyes" is a good one
Fitbit reccomendations? Pls?
You should add a subscribe button to the video and ask people to subscribe at the beginning of the video, since most of the viewers drop before the very end
How did you get sponsored by redbull?
They approached me after I won ironman Lanzarote in 2017
Like to know which strenght excercise you do
I'm confused what altitude they are at. Sorry 2400 meters is not 9500 ft right?
Sorry that was an error on my behalf, should be *7500ft. We don’t work in ft we use Metric.
Reece
U guys are seriously lucky it didn’t turn into Altitude Sickness. Take it from me, when I first moved out to Park City .. it hit me hard and put me in the hospital. Also, are you both racing? and finally, bring Lola next time, she’s really the star of these videos to be honest . :)
I think Lola would have been fine in the altitude!
Lucky we didn’t get altitude sickness
9:20 2400 meters is Not over 9500ft its 7800ft nice vid
in this video is your friend diabetes typ1 ? I saw white thing on his back arm
Ironing board 😆😆😆
Not 9500' ....
70 point free haha
O
I thought Lucy will be one of the favourite in st George but, sounds like you experimenting a with attitude just before WC, I will be surprised if this will go well. Nevertheless wish all the best :)
