I love your new bike! I always want pink or purple bikes, but they’re tough to come by on stock models. Your videos are making me really wish I had time to travel right now, so I could go do a training camp like that.
Come train in South Africa ;) Port Elizabeth misses you ❤ Love watching your videos - great job Holly and keep up the hard work Reece & Lucy! P.S - love the Lola socks!
I love pink as well and for that reason I LOVE LOVE your bike and kit. Definitely little Lola in both will give an extra push and leg power, no doubt about it 😊. It would be nice if Red Bull colors were similar to your bike and kit
great video guys, congratulations to your new bike!!!! It looks awesome with your new kit as well. I would definitely try some sauna time after every workouts for heat preparation. :) have a great rest of your week and hopefully see you guys in UTAH :)
Awesome edit Thankyou for sharing your recent training block Lucy so excited for the next few months of racing , Absolutely love your new race bike 🤩 A traditional personal Finish Sauna gives you heat and humidity both can easily be controlled via thermostats and mechanical fans and it’s always super fun ladling on the water for an intense blast 💥🥵🤩
I feel you Lucy, i just did my heat block for World Triathlon AG long distance champs, another one coming next week... NOT FUN! running in winter gear in early autumn/mild summer weather is abmysal and sauna after it is hell..
Ok... that BIKE! So jealous. I wish I thought about being a pro athlete when I was younger haha! Break a leg this weekend Lucy! Looking forward to watching the Collins Cup xx
Man those roads over there look so PERFECT!! How the hell do they maintain them so well?!?! Recommend that you fly over to Phuket, Thailand and do your training over there in heat.
Heat prep in the UK: any sports university with an environment chamber? Sure they'd be happy to help. Or GSK Human Performance Lab in London, they have a heat chamber and even endless pool for gas analysis while swimming etc.
Late to the comments, but check out Clermont,Fl. They have the National Training Center there. Several pro’s live there in the winter. A lot of solid training
With Kona on 5 February, thats only 5 weeks after the new year. So … I think your best bet is 2 weeks back in Dubai straight after Xmas with the family and then straight to Hawaii. Maybe some other locations in Hawaii than Kona until a week out. Before all of that maybe a 3 week base-build camp back at Club La Santa from late November. Alternatively … you could spend December and half of January with Cam Wurf in LA … Perhaps then ‘heat’ aspect is something you only need to focus on in the last month. Especially given that Hawaii is actually quite mild in early February.
Hi Team Charles Barclay !!! I am a fan of what you and your team do! I do not miss a single one of your videos, but some do not have the subtitles available, I do not know if it is an option that you can enable or it depends on something else.
Awesome video! I love watching these! For someone in the US-- what is a jelly bar? You mentioned using gels and a jelly bar. Is that like, a jam-filled granola bar?
I don't train at any level near yours but I have portable heaters in my workout room and place fans in front so the room not only gets hot but there are hot breezes. Just a thought.
Hi Lucy, do you do any specific exercises to strenghten rotator cuffs, muscles and tendons around your shoulders ? Freestyle certainly dominates the swim and I have started myself have issues with ligaments in my right shoulder.
I love watching all your videos guys 😍 I do have a question: do you use supplements or anything to help support your immune system and keep you well while pushing so hard day in day out? I feel like I'm always getting little niggly colds (I do work full-time and have 2 kids on top of Ironman training) and just want to find some ways to maybe supplement. I know rest and sleep is important but life is quite busy at times. Thanks, love you both, you're an absolute inspiration and keep doing what you're doing 🙌🏼
You can call it a number of names but what it basically is is a core and m.iliopsoas exercise. It kinda mimics a running stride (at least the beginning, to a certain degree) and is used as a strength exercise. I’d say the focus is on the core and to keep everything nice and tight (stability). Team Charles-Barclay said they primarily train in the endurance range of strength training so I’d say it’s preparation for a good posture and a strong core whilst running.
Was going to say get a sauna for your pain cave! Super good for additional heat adaptation! There are specific protocols you can use post training to get the best bang for your buck! Also, protocols for females a little different than males due to hormonal changes, FYI!
Actually - indoor training without a fan gets the trick for me. When i push high Watts on the bike without big airflow it's getting very very hot after a few mins,so you don't even reach your max power normally, because the heartrate hits the max much quicker.
For training in winter with warm conditions in north hemisphere...may be south of Spain could do the trick. If not...do you have room for a sauna in the garden??? ;)
Why do some English people speak bad English, Reece "we was doing long days and we was testing", no sir that is not correct English it is "we were doing long days and we were testing 🤔
Reece uses a corruption of English that is part of a dialect that exists in and around London. I assume it is closely linked to Cockney and Estuary English. You would probably find that the majority of English people normally speak in one dialect or another and do not use what you would deem "correct English".
Can we have a video with Holly explaining the behind the scenes of making the videos?
I think it’s the cutest thing ever that you put Lola on your bike and kit. What an absolutely amazing idea ♥️
Have you saplements
Electrolytes
Would you guys ever do a q&a together about yourselves/relationship? Your partnership seems amazing so thought it would be nice!
I love your new bike! I always want pink or purple bikes, but they’re tough to come by on stock models. Your videos are making me really wish I had time to travel right now, so I could go do a training camp like that.
That pink bike is EVERYTHING!
Love the video and seeing you train at Club La Santa. Keep up the amazing work guys.
Love seeing you watching TTL videos! Love for the sport is what it's all about! Great video & brilliant bike!
Come and train in Stellenbosch, South Africa! perfect in Jan and Feb - plenty heat and you can find some strong winds as well
Come train in South Africa ;) Port Elizabeth misses you ❤ Love watching your videos - great job Holly and keep up the hard work Reece & Lucy! P.S - love the Lola socks!
Love your pink bike! 💕💕💕I always want to have a pink one. It‘s perfect! & i love ur videos - high quality, good vibes & Triathlon - best combi💕💕

The La Santa 70.3 Ironman is on my calendar for October 2022 :D It'll be my first 70.3 !!
I’ve heard of people putting treadmills and bike trainers in a sauna to prep for Death Valley races etc. Might be worth a try over the winter months.
I feel you Lucy, i just did my heat block for World Triathlon AG long distance champs, another one coming next week... NOT FUN! running in winter gear in early autumn/mild summer weather is abmysal and sauna after it is hell..

Love the colours of your new bike and kit!

Awesome road bike color and new kit with Lola decal
Loughborough university has a heat chamber, should check it out!!! And obviously has amazing facilities regardless
Loved this video!
Come do the St. Anthony's Olympic on October 3rd! :) A little speed work.
Man those roads over there look so PERFECT!! How the hell do they maintain them so well?!?! Recommend that you fly over to Phuket, Thailand and do your training over there in heat.

I'd also try and make every aspect of home life as warm as possible
Come and train in South Africa for Kona. It's going to be summer here during g that time so much better heat training than the Northern Hemisphere 😁
Late to the comments, but check out Clermont,Fl. They have the National Training Center there. Several pro’s live there in the winter. A lot of solid training

That bike is best thing I have ever seen
very good video you two. what jells do you use?
Amazing bike design👌
Reccomend Noosa Australia for Kona prep! Australian summer 100% humidity, good enough for Frodo must be worth a crack
Awesome video! I love watching these!

I don't normally like pink but I LOVE your new tri suit!! 😍
I love how rough this dudes English is 😂 “we was getting some really good data” haha love it
Congratulations and best wishes for kona. I am your big fan.
Like always, some amazing content!!! That Triathlon life rolling down while doing those tt efforts hehehe
I don't train at any level near yours but I have portable heaters in my workout room and place fans in front so the room not only gets hot but there are hot breezes. Just a thought.
Come to Ironman Chattanooga in September.
I ♥️ the Pink Bike!!!!!!!!!!!! Awesome!!!
Have you ever trained in Clermont Florida. Could be an idea for Kona training...
Hi Lucy, do you do any specific exercises to strenghten rotator cuffs, muscles and tendons around your shoulders ? Freestyle certainly dominates the swim and I have started myself have issues with ligaments in my right shoulder.
Me toooooo! Yes please! Help!

18:21 what's this cable pulling exercise called and what exactly does it train? Is it for explosiveness?

@@magneticbeats8339 thanks
How do you like running in that no bull sports bra ? I’ve never tried them but I know a lot of cross fitters use that brand
Beautiful bike! How much did it cost? Why did you opt for road instead of TT?
very inspired to do a 70.3 now hahaha!!
Beautiful!!!
How do you pee in the middle of nowhere?
At 20:10 are you watching Paula Findlay's newest video? 😂
🔥🔥🔥 Bike is lit
If u want to train in maui pre kona lmk could arrange our ohana!
Interesting so many bikes are finally moving to a 1x set up. Never understood the need for 2x on a tri bike unless a super hilly course.
Love your videos 😍🥰
Red Bull now need to come to the party and design a pink helmet to match your gorgeous look :-)
congrats on the collins cup win!

Only problem with training without a fan is the air your breathe. A bit of circulation helps.
Nice video. When you say 1 electrolyte tab how.much sodium is that? Just trying to see roughly how much sodium you take in per litre ect
Como to Brazil for the heat preparation!
Have you got room for a sauna in the home gym for heat prep?
For training in winter with warm conditions in north hemisphere...may be south of Spain could do the trick. If not...do you have room for a sauna in the garden??? ;)
whats the bike helmet brand and model?
Would you not follow the big unit Reece and go for the pink kit too?
Kawai..-greetings from Tokyo 🙏🏻⚔️⛩🇯🇵
New bike days are the best!
Anyone else notice Lucy has a lot of facial hair? Wonder if it is related to hormone levels in professional athletes. At 4:34 you can really see it.
What are those holes on the top of the handlebars ?? For Integrated TT Extension ? Is that new ?
Yep you also find them on the Lapierre DRS Code 8.0 for example (last year model) so not that new ;)
@@alexmeheust4464 can’t find anything like it. Not from cube and not from lapierre.. link please ?
And more details here : ruclips.net/video/3W46mquBQ0I/видео.html (video in french)
