Donating those walkers would help some elderly or injured folks mighty happy. The one I had, for over a year and half, was a Godsend! You're A classy guy!
Recently found your channel and am trying to catch up on past episodes. I’ve spent a good deal of my life as a part time scrapper, working full time in the HVAC and plumbing trades. I realized early in my career how senseless it was to throw away massive amounts of copper, aluminum and brass so I started staying a few minutes after work every day on my own time, salvaging what was going to be taken to a landfill. Its helped my family live a better life while doing just a little to help the environment.
At 9:58, that's a laryngoscope, it's tool to help doctors intubate (insert a breathing tube). It gives them light to see and the blade holds the tongue out of the way.
I use a walker and i have one with wheels and one without! Thank you so much for saving them and getting them to the right folks! Shame on the place that threw them out!😮😮😮
Good afternoon! Your respect meter flew through the roof when you said you would get those walkers in the right hands. I know I have seen walkers with no wheels. They sometimes work better then those with wheels. Great haul! Tfs!
Hi Mike Those white baskets are to hold the blood pressure cup on the Dr's office. As per those vcr's they are portable and can be used in cars and vans. Great to have a small unit around. My vcr I use for recording audio in my home like a big cassette recorder. Have a good weekend to you and yours.
Fun fact Mike, the very first video I watched of yours you was singing Regulator that hooked me and I've been watching you ever since. Oh plus the Ow sound you used to make that got me as well because my mother rest her soul used to make that sound every time she got excited seeing something. She had passed a few years prior to me running into your RUclips. Ninja Mike gotta be strong 💪🏾 oooooow
The handle with the batteries is used for intubation. It has a light that illuminates the throat and vocal cords so a tube can be placed in your trachea.
Thanks for another awesomme noghts video Mike. Great variation in scrap. So maddening to see perfectly good walkers being thrown away. So glad you were able to rescue them from the landfill & donate them to people who will appreciate them. Keep up the great work. Have a good & safe weekend. Best wishes from Ireland🇮🇪🍀
If a person is unsteady on their feet the walker they use would not have wheels. They take a step and lift the walker forward etc. They would be very useful indeed. I like that you donate these things. Thanks for the videos.🥰
The device with the stainless steel blade and batteries is what we use to intubate and place an airway in a patient before placing them on a ventilator. They've gone to disposable one patient use on a lot of things like that.
Off to the pay window! I always like how you have a simple set up for your videos. No over-the-top editing. Just the MTS jingle at the end. Peace be with you brother!
Mike great finds on the VHS players! My son has a resale shop in NH and he can't keep them in stock, big retro demand! Great job,you make my day! Scrappity scrap! ❤❤❤
Years ago my closed his korean video rental business & literally gave me over 200 VCR's to scrap ....kept a few of the high end ones ,but took all the modern Sharp & Samsung VCR's & scrapped them ,but I did it the fun way & crushed the majority of the plasticity ones in the trash compactor first ...they are real crunchy stacked in rows of 10 & end up the size of 5 when done
HI Mike great video great scores out there in the Dumpsters. you should grabbed those yellow bags and use them for very small parts and smalls and loose hardware screws nuts bolts and such and keep it in your truck we did that they are handy and stronger then cardboard and cheap totes .
12:31 they are soft plastic pads which keep surgical instruments in place/safe from damage they go inside metal trays to keep instruments together and protected.
I just want you to know -I thank you for helping recycle. I enjoy your commentary. I am a person who works a lot comes home and enjoys your videos. Thank you!!!!!😊
Mike, you should grab the garbage can part of the shredder. You can use it to put all the small pieces of wire and such, then dump them into Betty. It would be easier than trying to find a box in some of those wet dumpsters.
That one white scale looking thing is a magnetic stirrer. You drop a magnet into a glass container and put the container on top and it stirs the liquid, some have heaters, too.
Oh nooo, I love finding those domes on the lights, I paint them with acyclic paints amd make them into garden features. Lucky you didn't get glass somewhere peachy when you fell backwards 🙈😉 I got genuinely cross when I saw all those brand new walkers in the dumpster, what the hell is wrong with some people and their wastage 😠 glad you saved them though, even for recycling ♻️ 👍

You gotta be careful donating those types of items though, a lot of the time there’ll be a recall or some reason new items like that are discarded.

And you can get different heads for the handle: otoscope head to look in the ears and ophthalmoscope head to see inside the eyes.

All those "baskets" are in every exam room. Bloodpressure cuff, light for ear, eyes, throat. Temps. Definitely digging deep today.
Is that Molly Hatchet?
So glad you didn't get cut up. Thank you for saving the walkers. So many people could use them. Cost rises with all the waste. So sad.
