This week's poll decided coming weekends video will be on a certain creature's lore... specifically it will be a type of Daedra associated with the Mad God Sheogorath. Hope you are looking forward to it, y'all voted for it!
If the rumors about Elder Scrolls VI being in Hammerfell and High Rock are true, I think it would be very interesting if we could join Ravenwatch as the vampire questline.
Frankly, I hope for a darker storyline. Persecution or a factional divide. ESO lacks the shades of gray, which makes the Skyrim and Oblivion great settings.
I wouldn't get your hopes up. Game devs these days have no respect for the fans or the franchises they're building from. I'd try to keep my hopes up that they at least don't throw dirt on the Elder Scrolls lore instead.
A faction similar to this would have been the perfect third option for Dawnguard when it came out. I like the idea of going at the vampire menace like Blade (yes the comic) and going against the odds of succumbing to the thirst.
It would be cool for House Ravenwatch to return in TES VI, or at least be able to visit ravenwatch castle if it’s abandoned. But having a faction of good-doing vampires is something the series is missing
@SenketsuFi Hassildor was the OG good vampire in the series. He was the Count of Skingrad in Oblivion who ruled a long time and embraced his condition but hides away in the castle. He tries to save his wife, who didn't embrace it and went feral
I don’t know. Would make sense to have had them face staunch opposition in the very beginning, but after repelling the initial attacks would be begrudgingly accepted as a permanent fixture in the politics of high Rock. With the nobles warming up to them over a very long time.
That would probably be the case if they settled in really populated areas, but in this case they are based pretty secluded and away from bigger settlements (in the lore that is)
I agree but, I could see a writing angle of them living in a secluded hidden location and as vampires in the region were being 'taken care of', the people of high rock may even seek an answer and perhaps even be thankful for whoever is accredited to ridding the vampire menace. It probably came to a awkward surprise that the ones subduing vampires were other vampires but, relaxed once they felt their intent was good.
I didn't get the little joke with Fennorian's voice actor since I haven't played ESO. So I look up the voice actor, sees Robbie Daymond, "yup, that makes sense lol". He's definitely one of my favorites.
I was waiting for SO long for someone to do a video on this house - all the characters are so interesting, as are the stories related to the house. Thanks for making it !!
I'm so happy you made this video! I think the Greymoor DLC deserves more love - I'm not an ESO player, but I think a lot of its content tends to be overlooked or ignored.
If we're lucky, we'll see them in a High Rock game eventually, maybe as a joinable faction for vampire characters for when you're playing a good character and get infected.
Hey, would you be open to the possibility on doing a full video on Varen Aquilarios? I know you covered him a bit in your ESO main quest and longhouse emperors videos but imo he's such an interesting villain that I think it warrants a full video. Great vid btw!
House Ravenwatch!!! My faves, they're great. I've had the "of House Ravenwatch" as my title ever since I earned it. And was delighted to see Fennorian again in Gold Road!!
UPDATE: Fennorian is present in the Gold Road expansion of Elder Scrolls Online during a new questline that peeks into his past prior to becoming a vampire.
I want this in the next TES game. Give me really cool vampires and werewolves. Give me romance options from these groups. Chances to join them; help them. I want the supernatural beings to be awesome and fun, instead of the vampires just being all blandly evil and the werewolves being all cursed people who didn’t want their shapeshift. Please let the supernatural creatures thrive!
When Skyrim had the Dawnguard DLC, that's when the game peaked. When ESO did Greymoor DLC, that's when that game peaked. Gothic Vampire themed DLC's are PEAK.
I love these questlines. I love that title. Unfortunately they bugged the game in the most recent update making it nearly impossible to feed without killing innocent people because they bugged out feeding on aggressive enemies.
Obviously as a BGS release there will be storylines in the game that relate to other ES games, but how much of ESO is canon, or is it now seen as canon due to it being released by BGS?
I actually LARP house ravenwatch with my eso toons. On my first account, I ran a guild called “house ravenwatch,” but that account was permabanned for trolling :(
I really wish that TES VI will bridge the mainline games with ESO. This vampire faction, the island of Shalidor and that new daedric prince really need to be at least mentioned in the name game because I am starting to think ESO is mostly not canon.
ESO’s writers work with the main game writers. And ESO’s lore has been mentioned in Blades and Castles (both developed by the main team!) so im 1000% sure tes6 will reference ESO and will likely be based on ESO’s lore for the province it takes place in.
Ithelia I believe is the name of this new prince. Tho technically she has been forgotten by all and only Hermaeus Mora and her servant know about her, she prolly will remain that way in TES 6
This is one of those ESO things that feels like blatant fanfiction. Like, their OC defies all odds, bends the lore, and defies their evil nature to be a force for good, but still have the cool, emo-edgelord, evil superpowers. Just feels really forced. Like they added a "good" version of an evil faction just for the sake of it. Probably more-so for gameplay purposes, rather than what makes sense within the lore. What's next? Necromancers that respect the dead and somehow found a way to free souls from, or simply NOT trap souls in the Soul Cairn? Or they can raise the dead without the use of souls. And use their unique knowledge and methods purely for good.
House Telvani says hi. Check your bloodthirsty at the mushroom door, but all powerful individuals are welcome. Given that Vampirism is a disease in Elder Scrolls, it is not surprising that some group sprung up that was not just blood thirsty monsters. Unlike Corpus, Vampirism does not directly impair ones mental abilities. As for friendly vampires, they show up about once a game. Well at least in the Todd series.
Oh sorry, is that too much nuance for you? Want to keep it to one-note evil monsters? Then I bet you must be absolutely furious about how they made the Orcs into a playable race from Daggerfall to Morrowind, with like a whole culture, history and everything instead of them being only aggressive monsters one encounters as an enemy. 😱
@@RuSosan You got it completely backwards. These all-good vampires that are all "for the good of humanity" come across as more Lawful Good than 95% of the people Tamriel. It LACKS nuance. It feels generic and like a child came up with it for their Deviant Art OC self-insert.
@@gmradio2436 What about House Telvanni? They compete for control and exploit the land and resources to serve their egocentric ambitions. What's that got to do with Vampires who are such goody-two-shoes they put everyone to shame with how amazingly good and selfless they are?! As for these "good vampires that show up in every TES game"... well they're not perfectly good like Ravenwatch are presented as in this video. They're not exactly angels. They still kill and do bad things.

Seems like a Vampire house Serana would get along with.

I totally aggree.@@badluck5647
Knowing Bethesda they would never allow that.
Hehe 5 years after the trailer and all we have still is speculation
Lol

The Virgin Clan Volkihar vs the super mega-chad House Ravenwatch
Clan Volkihar couldn't shine the boots of Clan Ravenwatch.
@@sirlink9611 Except Serana. Don't pretend you wouldn't fold the moment she lifted you up by your shirt like she did Vyrthur. UwU
@@rickywyness5230 Meh, she killed my husky with her AOE spells

Cool, we got ourselves a house of Castlevanias Alucards!

I think it'd be cool if House Ravenwatch and Count Hassildor of Skingrad were allies. I could see that being a thing
tell me more of Hassildor xD we're going to Skingrad this year
@SenketsuFi Hassildor was the OG good vampire in the series. He was the Count of Skingrad in Oblivion who ruled a long time and embraced his condition but hides away in the castle. He tries to save his wife, who didn't embrace it and went feral
If we can be a vampire in ES6 I would love for a struggle between House Ravenwatch and a more evil vampire group of persuading us to join their side.
I like how vampires in Elder Scrolls are written consistently in the series, especially the friendly ones like Sybille and Janus.
You are absolutely crushing it with content recently, keep it up

Elder Scrolls 6 High Rock should definitely make House Ravenwatch a joinable Faction for Vampires.

I am going to miss Michael Gambon, he did the role well
You can hear the heart and soul he put into Varen, you can hear the guilt and regret and knowledge of the weight of what he has unleashed on Tamrial
gwendis said they also feed on evil villians aswell
Without Verandis knowing, I'm sure. UwU

Wow, I like this faction already! It would be a great DLC for Skyrim (provided that this faction still exists in those times). Thanks for the video!
Well this is a nice surprise. I love this faction and Verandis

It was explained in ESO, since it’s Canon
But the continuation of the Quest would be so awesome???
I hope they are a faction in elder scrolls 6
always happy when i find them somewhere in eso

I want one of the games to be in the time period of the matron aka the og vampire and we get to join her and lead her flock beside her

I have a question, is there a playlist for ESO lore?
if only there were some Castlevania references.
