This video is hands down the weirdest thing I have ever made, and the further I go into TES lore the stranger it gets. There’s more I could have talked about in the video; Molag Bals old image being from a previous Kalpa, also Kalpa, a deeper dive into Vivec’s marriage to Molag Bal, The Pomegranate Banquet, Vivec calling Dreugh “Altmer of The Sea”, the list goes on. Also, Dreugh are mentioned elsewhere in the games, the Tsaesci invasion for example, but none of the parties involved mention Dreugh being present so I didn’t either, but maybe I should have…
@@Synonymous101 Yeah, that's the thing with *Elder Scrolls* lore: On the surface, it is like a lot of other western fantasy media... but the deeper you dive in, the more trippy it gets.
I really love the lore and aesthetics of Morrowind! It delved more into the bizarre and Lovecraftian than most other titles in the series and emersed us in a fantastical and otherworldly environment!
You can't deny the fact that you started with Fallout, which is a very positive thing. I was afraid that the stories would lose their dark touch, but I was wrong. Don't change it.
@@user-zp8kj2cl9g I won't explain here how well I know TES lore, it's pointless. Apparently you didn't understand me. His Fallout stories have a degree of darkness due to his voice, background music, and storytelling style. I wasn't sure if it would translate to TES, which is a completely different genre than Fallout.
Now I get Elder scrolls lore in this smooth voice also? Nice! I would love vidoes about the other continents, there is so little when it comes to good videos on this topic! The ape and cobra (I don`t know what they are called) races are very interesting.
If you think the Dreugh are weird, wait till you find out about the Sload. Or that ape who broke time. And the Hist Trees. It's a fun, but really weird world.
For a long time I thought TES wasn't very interesting but once i started reading the in game books and played Morrowind, that notion was almost brutally removed. TES is one of the most bizarre, in-depth and often horrifying universes I've had the pleasure to learn all about! I usually read books for fantasy worlds but having this one be in mostly game form, is just so refreshing and fun
After a few days of getting my heels nipped by slaughterfish, i was used to losing a few HP while swimming. Then one day I was swimming in sea along the edge of the island and to my horror, realised i was losing MUCH more health than normal. Nervous i had a pack of fish on my tail, i whirled around, steel in hand. As I did, one of these lashed me with a claw and I knew i was in deeper trouble than I had thought. I very nearly did not make it back to shore, but now I treat swimming in Morrowind with the fearful, wary respect the game deserves
I LOVE your videos. Now that i have your attentions. (Jk I love all your vids) But in all seriousness. I'd love a video of the subraces of tamriel. You know, any subrace of any 'main' race of tamriel. Sometimes they have huge lore!
Omg yea finally I get some lore on these creatures. I was one of the original OG’s. That had the original disc all the expansion packs and I still have the construction. Disc
The truth is that the dregah where infact an empire of a previous kalpa! Its perfectly possible for them to have been a civilised folk. It happened to aregonians. So why not them.
I also say ‘drew’ but I’d argue ‘drek’ is better as an archaic in universe term. -gh still makes a k-like throaty sound in some English dialects. It even sounds like English ‘drag, *dreg’ or dredge, as in you were dreg into the sea.
I always pronounced it "drew". "Gh" is often pronounced with a soft "h" and being after "eu" in a word one would think it would almost imperceptible, thus "drew".
I'm curious about the source of the pronunciation ("drek") you use. The closest I was ever able to find with your pronunciation is "dreg". The Unofficial Elder Scrolls website uses "dreg".

If you can give us a series on the muatra then I'll be happy
If i remember correctly, the main writer for elder scrolls was high on mushroom at the time.
this elder scrolls lore just keep getting better

“Crab people crab people” ~ South Park
Look like crab, talk like people.
Craaaaab people, Craaaaab people.
Lmfao I used to sing this farming the Dreugh for Werewolf levels in ESO back in 2014.
ah yes, the Dreugh, part man, part octopus, part crab.
That perfectly describes my genitalia
I'm cereal you guys!!
Crab-people, crab-people.

My favorite fallout lore guy is doing elder scrolls lore now? I’m in

Good work my man
These elder scrolls videos are excellent! I really appreciate the concise nature of your presentation. ♥️
Please melt my brain with a video about CHIM and Amranth
Been wondering when you'd tackle some ES. Hope it's as fun working on them as it is for us to enjoy. Well done!
I will continue to like and comment every ES lore video you upload 🙏🏼

Morrowind is one of my fav games of all time. I loved it when it came out back in the day. Still play it now and then.

Morrowind related content after I've just started another playthrough?

In-depth video on CHIM when?
Good video i m a huge fallout nerd but this is tbh really fun to watch and intresting maybe i sould give this game a try after all
Oh boy. Digging into TES lore is a trip. Hold on tight.
The truth is that the dregah where infact an empire of a previous kalpa! Its perfectly possible for them to have been a civilised folk.
It happened to aregonians. So why not them.
Exploring Dreugh ruins could definitely be an idea for ES6.
I can never forget how they came to be called billies
Dreugh are the only race in the lore I'd be scared of. We understand the Sload, Tsaeci, Mer and Man but the Dreugh are both powerful and a mystery.
I've always pronounced Dreugh like "drew." Am I the only one, or are there even weirder ways of pronouncing it?
I also say ‘drew’ but I’d argue ‘drek’ is better as an archaic in universe term. -gh still makes a k-like throaty sound in some English dialects. It even sounds like English ‘drag, *dreg’ or dredge, as in you were dreg into the sea.
I’ve also heard “dreg”
Pretty sure the gh is like silently pronounced so it is dray.. like Dr Dre..👍
where did you find the source for the grom bottles? I can't find anything about it
Fantos Epilion writes about it in his journal.
One of most dangers Daedric artifacts is
The Ruddy Man
The power to take the form Molag Bals becoming a dem-god
ES lore! LETS GO!
I always pronounced it "drew". "Gh" is often pronounced with a soft "h" and being after "eu" in a word one would think it would almost imperceptible, thus "drew".
According to the developer who first created them, dreugh is pronounced dreg.
@@Synonymous101 I know. I have since heard that. I just always thought it sounded wrong.

More content yay!
You made it easier to understand than Drewmora.😄
Yes plz more of es lore ^^
Do the sload next.
what a awe inspiring fictional creatures
So there's no crab claw on the Dreugh? Im not tripping?
I find it difficult to get into skyrim lore. So I hope you do more cause i wanna learn more!
Hell yeah, brother.
Wonder who would win in a fight between a dreugh and a mirelurk.
A dreugh bc a they can use magic and a number of debuff spells. A mirelurk of the same class does not stand a chance.
I'm curious for Elders lore if there is enough for doing one about skooma, cuz funny cat getting high as heck.
I'm curious about the source of the pronunciation ("drek") you use. The closest I was ever able to find with your pronunciation is "dreg". The Unofficial Elder Scrolls website uses "dreg".
Am I not saying dreg? 😅
Is there a possibility for you to make The Witcher/Cyberpunk Lore videos in the future?🥺
The way they spell that name, dreugh, makes absolutely no sense when spoken. Drek/Drak. Easy. Dreugh would sound like drooahhh.
Take it up with the creator.
10:04
but the ashlanders don't even believe the ruddy man ever existed, they think Vivec made it up
Everyone either starts in fallout and ends up in the elder scrolls or vice versa haha!
I’ve never played the elder scrolls.
It’s really good fam
These Silly Billys are very dangerous.
What's the background music for this video?

So .. could we boil and eat them?
Dreugh? Never even met her
AINT NO WAY
I used to pronounce them "droo". Guess I was wrong tho
So the dreugh got falmored
Used to pick these little dudes out of my ex wifes bush
Huh. I always thought it was pronounced "drow". 🤷🤷
I only always pronounced it as "drew"
Theres no way its actually pronounced like 'Dreck'.
