tbf I have also played over 30,000 games and I know virtually no opening theory. Admittedly though I play almost exclusively bullet with some occasional 3+0.
I’m asking cause I genuinely don’t know, isn’t knowing 2 openings really really deeply better than knowing a lot of openings shallowly? I’ve only ever played Vienna and Caro Kann, but I’m also under 1000 elo

I was invited to the chessbrah house once. Wanted to use the bathroom, but found a camera under the sink. I mean, it's a streamer house, so I didn't think too much of it. Put a towel over it and went down to business. When I opened the door to go back, Aman was standing there, grinning, and went: "DUAL CAM". Don't support these guys.

i guess i'll never understand players that play as fast as their opponent even though they could use their 10x more time advantage wisely.
Better to play fast and solid early if you have a major time advantage, the closer you can bring their time to 0 without blundering any noticeable advantage the better, the longer you think, the longer you're giving them to think on your time also, it's a rough line to walk I guess, pros and cons both ways

This is a stupid challenge against Aman, he usually starts playing move 5 when he has about 30 seconds left on the clock anyways, even in TT

Why can’t she just play slower? She has a whole 5mins
Aman can think on her time too. So yeah you can take ages to think, but a better player will predict your best moves and have counters for them if you give them your thinking time.
I think if they ever do this again give Aman 20 seconds instead

Andrea has these random GM level moves, it's amazing she can go toe to toe with Aman. Although he has much less time, he is a GM. She's funny and all, but actually she's like a chess machine.

Incredible. Despite Aman's extensive educational content spanning from speedruns and slowbrah to habits and the occasional Titled Tuesday, Andrea has achieved in 30 minutes what Aman couldn't in 3+ years, make me see that I can be a 2000 player 😂.
