Hey Mark, just some information about Spoke Logistics. I've contracted with them in the past moving DURABLE medical supplies and equipment, which includes the hospital beds that are disassembled for load-out and reassembly at the location. Great video!

Hello. Thanks for watching. Running OTR in the transportation business, it would be wise to finance the vehicle instead of lease as you will be putting an abundance of miles. Owning the equipment overtime will help to keep your overhead down as the vehicle ages.

So I picked up a 2005 Chevy astro as a starter vehicle to see if I want to do this. It's a pretty solid van and I've been accepted into Roadie.

Hello. You can but in some situations it may be too much vehicle or overkill. It all depends on the circumstances, the volume and what exactly you’ll be hauling. But I have had 16Ft trucks do cargo van work in the past.

Not possible. No broker will give you loads with a utility trailer.

@@mikeg.9083 The broker or the shipper or retailer or 3pl sets the scope of equipment that they require to haul or move their freight. In 14 years I e never seen a pickup truck or enclosed trailer accepted on a equipment required to move general freight. Commercial trucks or cargo vans. That’s it’s. You can do car hauling with a 3500 and hotshots but that about it.

Great video. I have a CDL-A and current medical card with hazmat and tanker endorsments. I have been driving an 18 wheeler for a couple of years. I want to get into the expediting cargo van business. Does having a CDL-A license with hazmat give me an advantage in this business?

They both serve the same purpose. My first two choices would be a Sprinter or Transit.
