  • Ahh the open road. Can the Honda CRF250L go on the highway? Can she hold motorway speeds?
    This bike that is supposed to be an all rounder can it really do it all?
    I find out as I take my 2018 CRF250L for a 300km road ride.

    " I REALLY like riding so I can tolerate a lot of discomfort " is a great statement. You're right for sure, but my butt gets very sore after a 100 miles so i baught a Seat Concepts seat which helped a lot and the after market windshield is worth every penny at under 100 dollars. Thanks for sharing and happy riding.

      Yeah I heard great things about the seat concepts seat. I am considering it.

    Definitely doable on the highway! I made a video rode two hours on whats called the turnpike here in the US and speed limit is 70mph and she did just fine - and I had 13/45 gearing! I since switched to 13/42 and she still does highway fine. You're reving high, but the motor can take it. With my new setup I can easily swap on a 14T front sprocket which makes highway riding much easier. +1 on the fuel thing - I almost ran out of gas in my highway video. This bike is much more capable than people think!!

    slipstreamer "spit-fire" windshield works really well on my crf250L and being black hardware, it easy to install and remove. It's also study and covers the wind hitting my torsel. ...goes up to my neck or so...I wish I could add a couple pictures here....you'd like it

    Hallo from Denmark, good to see someone taking the road side of the 250L into consideration👍 Just bought one as my work horse and winter ride, I am used to a bigger bike but still amassed about how fun this little bike is to ride. But I will have to get use to beating the engine, I seem to be around 7000rpm most of the time, but she seems to be okay with it, and sounds wery healthy. So far I impressed and happy with my work horse👍😊 have a good ride and take care 👍

      Hello Denmark!!!
      Yeah the only way she moves is to rev her to 6000 plus but it's amazing how well the bike handles it.

    Awesome man. Awesome video. I'm riding a 250cc BigBoy TSR also on long distances but it doesn't have as much power as the Honda 250 neither the top speed but it gets me places. Thanks for this video I'll definitely subscribe💯

    I know this video is old, but does anyone know where to get those black mounting brackets inside his hand guards? The one that goes over the aluminum guard and attaches to plastic? Thank you in advance if anyone knows.

    • @bensheridan3861
      @bensheridan3861  2 года назад

      The handguards came as a complete set with the black plastic cover inside as part of it. I actually got these from Ali Express but they weren't a great fit.
      I believe the Zeta guards for a 250L are better. I would check Amazon or there is a site crfsonly.com/ worth checking

    Great video, and Fantastic wallet friendly little bike! Not sure if you mentioned already, but are you running the stock gearing? Which I think is 14/40, noticed you were getting upto 130ish speeds which is commendable for the 250l 👍

    Hey there buddy,
    Can you or somebody tell me how much revolutions does the crf have if you riding 60mph/100kmh. I got the 2016 model and it hasnt a tachometer where it sayes how much revolutions it made.
    (I am asking because i am intrested if its bad for the motor to do 60mph/100kmh for a long time on the highway)
    Thx in advance

    Friend, what engine speeds are acceptable for long highway driving? Your video is good and helpful. Thank you.

    • @bensheridan3861
      @bensheridan3861  3 года назад

      Thank you 😊
      The bike can reach 130kmph but it is not sustainable.
      Cruising at 90 - 100kmph is fine for a couple of hours.

    What do you think about Palestine

    • @bensheridan3861
      @bensheridan3861  2 года назад

      This is a non-political channel. I live in an area which is experiencing an extremely polarising political situation and conflict. While I will not get into any political conversations here I will say that all people deserve to be treated with love and respect based on their actions and not judged because of where they are from, their race or religion. Every human is an individual and should be treated as such.
      In addition of course I want to see a peaceful end to all conflict.
