I have both (Spotify premium)and I still love how Apple Music pay artists more than Spotify, but yes Spotify’s playlists are more amazing than Apple Music
AMAZING vid! I love Apple Music, mainly because I am a heavy Apple user, and (for me at least) I find the Favorites Mix amazing. When I want to listen to music, I just go on Favorites Mix and it is surprisingly accurate about what I like.
Apple Music for me… - Live Lyrics - Music Videos!! - Apple ecosystem - I struggled to get my downloaded music MP3 onto Spotify but went straight onto Apple Music - 256k AAC is actually a better sound quality than 320k OGG and takes up less storage on your phone. - Depending on the what music you are into, Hiphop for me Apple Music has a far better range
Great video, I’m having a hard time choosing Spotify or Apple Music theses days. I find myself switching from each service every month or so. Apple Music is more eye candy but Spotify does a bette job a providing music that I like and fast
I feel like it’s also important to bring voice activation into account for UI. You cannot use Siri for Spotify, so that is actually the reason why I went for Apple Music.
They changed that on ios 14.5. When you first tell Siri to play a song it’ll ask you which app you want to listen from and then you can set Spotify as your default music player.
WOW! I love this video. as a musician myself, it’s interesting to see this kinda stuff. one thing i will note though in terms of catalogue: music being on a platform is not up to the platform itself, but up to the artist and their label/management/the-artist-themself and such, but i did NOT know that bigger artists got offered the opportunity to have “apple exclusivity” options
One of the worst things in Spotify is the navigation limitation. It’s all squeezed into one messy section, where you will struggle to find new releases, radio stations, programs etc. About music library, Spotify doesn’t have many dj live sets, like Tomorrowland live sets. About podcasts, we are talking about an app that tries to deliver a music environment and also a podcast environment, and it fails in both, as there’s no dedicated app for podcasts. A point I give to spotify is the hundreds of playlists, but rarely it is able to show you something new, something personalised for you
I use Apple Music now but I like Spotify better the only reason I use Apple Music is because I’m on the bundle plan with the iCloud and Apple Arcade thrown in with the Apple Music
For some reason the Spotify's home page won't update my recently played no matter what I listen too, it keeps showing me the same 4 playlists, and on mobile it doesn't have the discovery in the search tab but on desktop, tf?
Well I guess it depends on how much music you want to download and in how high quality (as higher quality = more storage). Apparently for Spotify you can download a maximum of 10,000 songs across 5 devices, whilst on Apple Music you can download a maximum of 100,000 songs.
@@TechSpecsYT i saw from searching online that even if you just stream, these apps store quite a large data on your device so streaming songs in the future will be faster. I saw in the range of 5gb up of used storage space even if you just stream
How can you listen to a specific genre from your library on Spotify? Or songs only from a specific artist that you have added to your library? Oh, there is NO library on Spotify!!! You only get liked songs! How convenient. I am a Spotify user btw! This is something that I really hate...
Spotify auto generated playlists are 🔥🔥 and sound quality is soo much better than Apple too. I have both subscriptions and Apple simple isn’t as good.. Might cancel it soon.
I agree with the playlists, but for sound quality I'd wait since Apple announced the new HiFi audio update for Apple Music coming out next month, at no extra cost

Fair enough. Sometimes the best of both worlds is the way to go haha 😂
@@TechSpecsYT I go to Spotify for their playlists and Apple Music for how much they pay the artists 😂

personally I lean towards Spotify as I now have a thousand playlists there dating back from 2014 😅
Haha fair enough 😂
You can automatically sync your playlists from Spotify to Apple Music

Spotify! Like the options it has to offer, the ones Apple lacks in.
Really useful, thanks!

True. I'd have thought having it all on one place is good, but I guess it depends
I feel the same, its hard to find releases
I can't decide so I just use both Apple Music is great for Apple TV and Spotify for when I'm driving..
Great vid! I’ll be going with Spotify because of its music recommendations
I think you can change bitrates and equalizers on the desktop application for windows or mac
I use Apple Music now but I like Spotify better the only reason I use Apple Music is because I’m on the bundle plan with the iCloud and Apple Arcade thrown in with the Apple Music
You need more subs. This channel is going to blow up. The visuals and content are excellent.
Thanks so much man, means a lot to hear that 🙏
WOOAAAHHH!! New camera or was it very sunny that day lol. Great video. My choice is Spotify because Im an android user
Haha it's still the same camera, I just added a LUT in DaVinci Resolve and adjusted it a bit so that's why it looks different
For some reason the Spotify's home page won't update my recently played no matter what I listen too, it keeps showing me the same 4 playlists, and on mobile it doesn't have the discovery in the search tab but on desktop, tf?
what uses more of your storage space in your iphone? I know these apps can take up GBs of space

@@TechSpecsYT what about if you just stream? I heard it still uses a lot of storage
If you just stream music without downloading it then no storage other than just for the app itself (which wont be much) should be used??

i love Spotify but it doesnt have lyrics i think which i love because sometimes im listening and idk what the artist said😂
100% I love the lyric view so much 😂
@@TechSpecsYT will spotify have lyric view in the future?
🤷♂️
So early its still processing hd rn its max 360p! BTW Nice comparison so far you explained everything really well!
Early squad 😎👊
Can you make a review apple music in ios 14.5 ?
I don't think there are that many changes that justify an entire video 🤔
I knew it was coming, i swear we talked about this at some point lmaoo
Haha yeah, I've been meaning to make it for a while but took my time lol
He leaked it in his “How I make my videos” video
Really good vid
Another great video! Well done ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Apple 🍏 music 🎵 for me,good video though 👏👏👏

Must be fan of MKBHD, video looks inspired from him , which is not a bad thing
Yeah definitely love his stuff
I second that 👍🏼
Now genius is not available in Spotify
Oh no :(
nice
Damn. Wasn't first.
Better luck next time 🥲😂
Sed 🥲
You're little too quick
RIP lossless and dolby Atmos in your video 😅
You woke up and chose to speak facts
