Hello the Nikon E II has very bright coatings that in the mountains with sunlight with clear rocks under certain conditions make you the flat or excessively clear image not so where there is vegetation. Try putting the black sea filters of other old military binoculars you own (I use Huet marine). The result will surprise you on the mountain landscape with those light conditions. On the Alpine landscape with the Nikon I do so and it's spectacular. Always nice to follow you congratulations.
I use the black filters supplied with the Huet Paris Étanche 8x30 binoculars and they work well as field performance in mountain light conditions and Nikon E coatings.
A very nice binocular indeed, However they are not the latest E2's as the later version had a green coating and not the purple/blue, the later versions had the same coatings as the legendary E2 superior.
The Nikon EII surpasses most binoculars ever made (in terms of optical quality). And by that I also mean modern and expensive binoculars (even those modern made today). Of course, you can't tell from the "video recording". I also compared Nikon EII (diff. years of production) with binoculars like Sw. Habicht, EL, NL, new modern Zeiss and Leica (and Nikon EDG etc.) and in some ways the EII is nicer and overall better than the most expensive roof binoculars on the market today. Subjectively, the latest versions EII (produced after 2017) are better than older Nikon SEs. You have the feeling that you are looking through an open window, that the "optical glass is missing". Such a feeling is also offered, for example, by the Habicht series (from current years of production), probably also Zeiss V. HT and perhaps also Swarovski Pure NL, although even with these expensive binoculars central sharpness is not at the same level as that offered by latest Nikon EII (after the year of production 2017) and also Swarovski Habicht series. Nikon EII cannot be compared with Jenoptem/Deltrintem, etc., Nikon is a completely different category, although it is also an "older" Porro design - but refined to perfection (I love and collect old Zeiss binoculars, but they cannot be compared to the EII image at all - I emphasize optically, while the EII is mechanically great (and beautiful), it's an old concept in that regard :-)
No Problem - the price is an important factor when evaluating binoculars. The only reason I didn't include this factor in the description is because with the old and military binoculars you can't determine the "new price" and the prices for used things fluctuate extremely and depend very much on the condition. In this case I got lucky at an auction and paid under 400 EUR. To be exact: 385 EUR. I think prices around 400 to 450 EUR are very good for this bino (if it´s in good condition).
Aus welchem Jahr ist dieses Fernglas?

Thank you for your comment and following my content. I'll try that with the filter - that sounds interesting. Greetings from the Black Forest!

Legendary
Thank you!
Anda menggunakan handphone merk apa???

@@BlackForestRecon vielen Dank für die Infos!
I know it’s not polite but how much did you pay for this legend?

@@BlackForestRecon I totally agree with you so it’s a really bargain!
