"What should we do"
Obyron:" let her cook"
"Why ?"
Obyron:" so i can burn her meal "

The callidus assasin wearing a cardboard box on her head while casually walking up to the command deck "beep beep i am robot"
That might actually work in Warhammer 40k. It fits with the insanity of the franchise.

sending an assasin against a necron?
thats just like sending the assassins to assassinate themselves
Im sorry, DID YOU SAY SEVENTH!!!
In Warpforge, not only is Obyron's card an absolute unit, but it also had the ability to redirect all damage on your warlord to himself.
Canonically
Necrons dont move much different from normal humans.
However, their speed is possible thanks to their mastery over time fields.
They can literally manipulate time to make their bodies accelerate to impossible speeds without inertia loss
I love lychguard, i wish GW made a story about Silent king and his Lychguards "Stellar scythes"(basically overpowered custodes for Szarekh)
Hell yeah! Dig this guy! Elite savage! Be great to see him inserted more in relevant lore. Top 5 coolest crons in my humble opinion
Why are these assassins always so thicc
because callidus assassins are one out of the like 3 canon instances where a 40k fan can crank their hogs to this manly man franchise
Because the Callidus temple recruits women, since the drug they use, polymorphine, doesn't work as well with men.
I imagine the changling could sneek upbon him
He needs to fight The Lion
man really lives in bullet time with HD. Neat
Sooooo Lucius better keep his distance
tbh what i never got is that if you want a dude dead this badly that youd send 7 assasins afer them you might aswell wait for em to be on a planet and then blow the whole planet to dust before they get the chance to leave
even then, he would just teleport back to his tomb and be repaired like all necrons
these 2 characters need a resculpt. would be so cool
Ah yes 40k where just about every faction has insanely overpowered characters.
.....and they want flesh bodies.
Send him a few Custodes. Let's see.
I'm still taking him.
@@Technovore88Good. I don't want him!
Just to get killed by an Ork gargant
It’s orks man. They could take over the entire 40k universe is they literally stopped fighting each other.
Tell that to plot. 🗿
Obyron vs Jaghatai Khan. Who wins?
how could her disguise have failed, they used only the best cardboard and spraypaint
It makes me sad these guys got banished to Legends Limbo...
After the second dead Callidus they should have just sent a Vindicare, lmao. Blademaster my ass. Doesn't help if you're missing a head.
I wonder how the Lion would fare against him🤔
Quick heads up: Being able to react in a few "thousandths" of a second just means miliseconds. Which isn't super impressive when you factor that humanitys' average reaction time to visual information is 250 miliseconds.
So, dumb robot is only marginally faster than a human whoopity do.
Necron primarch
As far as feats to establish a notable character....this honestly doesnt seem like much.
Also seems an odd premise to send a bunch of callidus assassins against a Necron.
aaaaand they took him off the list in 10th edition
ASS-assin
Saying a whole lot of positive things about him… kinda sounds like heresy
Who thought “yeah this is a great idea” against the necrons you need overwhelming force to kill a grunt and a simple assassin delivers precision not overwhelming force
So... Who thought it was a good idea to sent an assassin against a fucking Necron?
Edit:
Never thought I'd get so many likes, thanks.
Send an Eversor
It wasn't enough actually, now shut up Inquisitor Terminal. I Inquisitor RasVasul will keep spamming more and more assassins
Ctan phase blade is the best choice to kill a necron. Maybe Vindicar is a good choice too.

Would make sense considering Necron Lords also try to send assassjns to kill thier rivals so its likely thier own tech could "kill" one.
Tzeencth goes gansta by knowing past, present, and future until he met this guy.
Actually no. Necron Divination is algorthm based and it can be fed false data to keep throwing it off.
Thats how Trazyn was able to thwart Orokin.
The only thing Trazyn needed to know is When he was activating the skill.
@@Makorze trayzn has that chronomancer cloak as well, which nullified the chronomancy
As has been seen many times, just because you can see the future doesn't mean you can do anything about it, and just because you can see your opponent's next move doesn't mean you can stop it.
@@Nyghtking This is actually the main weakness of Kriros Fateweaver - he can see the Past and the Future at all times but he cant see the present - so he can't read your actions for a split second - more than enough time for a Grey Knight or a very livid marine to get in and start wailing on him.

Oberon’s true job is keeping his boss from wandering off and getting lost too often, like a caretaker for a old man
At times, you do have to wonder whether he resents his job or just pities his boss, considering his boss is the equivalent of an old man with Alzhiemers
@@windowstaskmanager5349he definitely doesn’t resent his job. He cares for zandrek. The two are basically family. He knows sandrek has issues and obyron tries his best to help his friend.
While he did give up on trying to “fix” zandrek. He still cares. Sometimes even joining in the antics of his friend. He knows his friend’s mind is not fully there. So he knows he needs to protect zandrek. Cause there isn’t many who would.
Sometimes he grows tired but he never leaves his friend’s side. He makes sure his friend is safe and lets his friend enjoy himself. While also keeping him safe.
And once. When he saw the old zandrek. His old friend. In a moment of clarity. He realize his friend was still there. And He almost wept.
@@halfknight2310 Oh god he's Lennie from Of Mice and Men
@@windowstaskmanager5349 Zandrek is. yes. but more inteligent.
Zandrek is highly intelligent. problem is. he still thinks, he's flesh and blood. he doesn't see his enemies as orks, tyranids or even humans. he sees them as fellow necrontyre. during the dynasty wars.
as such. he has high amounts of honor. he takes POWs. he feeds them, cares for them. etc. (till obyron kills them when zandrech walks off. cause you're not suppose to take POWs as a necron).
quote:
"See, Obyron, the separatists come - attempting to outflank me just as they did at the Fourth Battle of Vyndakh. How they calculate that daubing themselves green and roaring like savages will produce a different outcome, I cannot fathom; but it is of no account. Ready my legions - another glorious victory shall soon be ours."
-Nemesor Zahndrekh to Vargard Obyron, prior to the crushing defeat of WAAAGH! Bludtoof
zandrek is like an old man with dementia or alziemers. while obyron is like a family member trying to care for them. (zandrek was also like this during the time of flesh. but it got worse after he turned into a necron).
but he has moments of clarity. short moments where he knows what he became. thing is. he doesn't care. not fully. he often thinks "well. even if I am a robot. why not make the most of immortality and continue our great compaign for the empire? why not simply enjoy life."
obyron has times where he seems tired. where he seems done with zandrekh. but at the same time. he knows he can't leave his friend.

@@somethinglikethat2176There is, however, one small problem.
Tactical genius and absolute unit friendship is the best trope in the Galaxy.
Yeah 'friendship' lol 😂.
@berilsevvalbekret772 Obyron doesn't have to serve the "senile" Zahndrekh. He is a Necron noble in terms of the hierarchy with his own thoughts unlike the legions of Warriors. He chooses to serve and protect Zahndrekh even though he could easily usurp him. Whether through Loyalty or friendship, Obyron and Zahndrekh's relationship is about as close to it gets to a true and perfect friendship in 40k.
While their ages (pre-Biotransference) aren't mentioned, I kinda like to see it as a father-son dynamic. Whether adoptive or not. Zahndrekh was a master strategist and commanded a ton of respect before he lost his mind and started seeing all Necrons as Necron'tyr and all other races as Orks. But despite that, he still commands a lot of respect. Regardless of Obyron's motivations, he's one of the realest bros left in the galaxy.
@damianwomack4668 Nemessor Zahndrekh is one of those people who most of the Necrons put up with despite his antics because he's very competent
@@damianwomack4668 In one of the twice dead king novels there's a flash back to the times of flesh where you get Zahndrekh and Obyron making an appearance during a meeting between nobles. Their relationship seems to be that of good friends even back then which is really cool to see.
@Necrodermis Really??? I listened to both of the Twice Dead King books currently released (great btw), but don't remember that particular part in either book 🤔 I feel always listen during work and other daily stuff though, so maybe I just missed it. Gotta listen to them again now! Obyron and Zahndrekh are probably my favorite Necron characters
EDIT: And I hate how brutally they have been nerfed (and now removed altogether) in recent Necrons codices 😭
that art of him choking a space marine goes hard as fuck.
Why did GW remove these two
They'll appear in a future lore.
@@DeathFantomwill they?
@@apolloknight9521 I don’t think that deleting them from a canon would be a good idea.
They were finecast and considered not important enough to update yet. The biggest loss was the regular lord, they better be cooking a customizable kit ASAP
GW hates fun characters. Everything has to be generic anymore. The Space Marines lost all of their fun characters, Orks have lost some of theirs, Imperial Guard lost theirs, now Necrons.
Ahh the two best fwiends in the entire necron faction
*Alpharius disguised as a potted plant in the corner*
"Pfft, amateur"

Zandrekh and Obyron is one of my favorite 40k duos, Obyron is basically a GIGANTIC Alfred Pennyworth with absolute loyalty to his Nemesor, where Zandrekh is this old grandpa with Alzheimer who often fall asleep standing up or forgetting where he is but old man still is one of the best strategists out there, bound with high moral standards too, no discrimination towards foes of whatever species.
These two’s daily is like, Zandrekh talking to himself while commanding his troops, with Obyron standing silently behind him, occasionally killing an ambusher with jaw dropping lightning speed, if Zandrekh ever asks what just happened, Obyron would just say “Worry not my Lord it’s just a fly”
I also absolutely love these 2. 100% my favorite warhammer 40k characters bar none and i want more of them.
Zandrekh's memory is somewhat the problem. The fact that he still thinks he is in the Civil War of the Necrons is the only issue. Every other enemy, he thinks are rebellious Necrons. He does not see the aliens, which is why Obyron cleans up the messes for him.
@@cainabel6356 I believe there was a quote along the lines of him fighting some orks and notably thought they were just pre war necrons painting themselves green and screaming. Which is hilarious. But he did still also stomp them like it was childsplay.

He’s the Necrons version of a Custode but 10x better
Zandrekh: "What should I do about this _completely_ unforseen situation."
Obyron: "My lord this is the fourth one this week."
Zandrekh: "Quite popular aren't I?"
even if one managed to kill him, wouldn't he just transfer to a new body?
If he has equally powered body yes)
The greater the Necron's prestige, the better quality of body they have.
Sure he coukd get right back into the battle if he has a spare body prepared but I dont think he does.
A spare implies failure.
I am sure the Necrons have a spare body. They created them to begin with, so that tech is not lost. Also, they do have repair protocols, so their bodies would probably jsut repair themselves over time.
@@cainabel6356 yes and no.
They do have them but not within themselves but rather within the system they are linked to. Many tomb-worlds did not survive the 65 million year hibernation in tact so are permanently "dead".
There are also some Tomb worlds that are still intact but for some reason cannot receive the signal to start re-examination. Pretty sure the necron with the blue glow in him (cant recall his name off the top of my head) is actively on a quest to reactivate these lost Tomb Worlds manually.
"Oh yeah? Well my spehss mehreen has special genes that make him invincible like superman and he kills your necron"
Obyron is using console commands.
I'd never be able to confront a noble of Necron Society, my ass would be fanboying over all the cool shit they can do to the point where they'd kill me for asking too many questions 💀
