    *A quick side note:*
    The "electro-motivated fibre bundles" in the armor you mentioned at 8:44 is the black muscle suit the Marines wear beneath all the armor plates, you can see it fully at 4:13 and it's like a tight bodysuit, or more akin to the Nanosuit from Crysis, that black muscle suit IS the *Power* of the Armour, they are the critical parts that interface directly with the Black Carapace and they provide all the strength that all Power Armour in 40k have, Space Marine, Sororitas, Inquisitorial or Custodian, these fibre bundles are the electric servos of the armor, and all power cables are interfaced directly with them.

  • @garreswe
    @garreswe 2 месяца назад +6

    There is one thing I don't understand about the armour and the WH40K world. In many games and videos the Space Marines get quite easily killed by melee weapons, even if they are supposed to be incredibly strong. Say that you compare to a real world tank: it doesn't matter how sharp any melee weapon is, you need an explosive force to penetrate its armour. The Space Marine armour is supposed to be even stronger than our tanks so I can't buy that an ork or a tyranid is able to kill a marine in melee unless they hit a gap or an exposed body part.

    • @AlindBack
      @AlindBack 2 месяца назад +11

      Ideally, an Astartes would always be followed by a number of chapter serfs that would carry extra ammo and potentially other essentials. Though, this tends to only really be the case when on defensive assignments.
      While I don't know that it's otherwise really ever been stated in any canon source, my guess would be that the belt area of the armor has a host of mag clamps that allows the Marine to carry extra ammo, grenades, or other miscellaneous items.
      Of course, even carrying a few extra magazines is not a lot of ammo, but Space Marines are, at a base level, superb marksmen. If you watch the Astartes videos you can see that the Marines do not waste shots. You can figure that each Marine used 1 mag until reaching the psykers, and then one or two mags to defeat the psykers, possibly followed by one more mag loaded after defeating the psykers. This points to the idea that none of the Marines used more than 4 magazines to clear a ship and secure their objective, and I think that's the rule, rather than the exception, when it comes to Space Marine operations.

    • @FreedomRoseStein
      @FreedomRoseStein 2 месяца назад +4

      @@AlindBack Yeah since i think i read somewhere every bullet is blessed by a tech priest it makes sense that full auto spray and pray isn't an Astartes tactic. In the space marine games you're always running out of bullets after almost every fight luckly you can't even turn a corner without tripping over an ammobox. i just thought it was odd there's no specific part of their kit designated as personal armory for the marines.

Space marines can do the same but they are faster, stronger, harder to kill and the armor is even better than the best versions of Moljnir armor. The best Spartan's which are the 2nd generation, yes they are the best of all 4 gens fight me, wouldn't hold a candle to a Space Marine. Naturally they are built for two totally different purposes and hell the Spartan 2's were not really built for fighting Elites let alone demi god shock troops from 40,000 years in the future. The suit connects directly to the bloodstream and filters out what little the augmented organs cannot process. This way, a space marine in his suit doesn't have to use the toilet.
      As far as sleep is concerned, another implant (the Catalepsean node) enables them to sleep "Dolphin-style", i.e. different parts of the brain take turns resting. They still need real sleep at some point, but can go on for many days without it just fine.
      I don't think sleeping in the armour would be a problem for an Astartes. Even a mere mortal like me quickly learned to sleep in full combat gear with a parachute strapped to my back and a bag full of equipment between my legs during my military service.

    And than there are a bunch of guys running around without a helmet and rendering the entire suit useless. At least armorwise. Doesn't make sense to wear armor if one blow to the head ends you.

      I think its special Chaos fire like the fire the Helldrake is breathing. They say something along the lines and have a aspecial name for it when the mission with the firebreathing Helldrake starts.

    Amour made of Adamantium?? How pathetic that the writers make up some B.S. like saying space marine armour is make from the same material as Marvels Wolverine claws. Why can't they make up their own material instead of copying Marvel's ideas.

      "Adamantine", also spelled "adamantium", is the metal of the gods in ancient Greek Mythology. Marvel didn't come up with it, It's literally thousands of years old lmao.

    I love how everyone loves the Space Marine armour.
    No one ever talks about the miss shaped bodies of space marines.
    5 inch thigh gaps, extended necks, bulbous heads, overly barreled chests and enough gross muscles to make a roid- raging muscle bro vomit.
    The armour is cool but all space marines are genetic trans-human mutants which is what gives the armour the real edge.
