- The 4l80e Build continues to fight me. Looks like we may have to resort to plan B,C or D at this point. Goonies never say die so I will figure it out if I can or we will find another way to make things happen. Thank you for watching!

I'd definitely check the fitting to make sure you don't have them swapped. If memory serves me right one is longer than the other and if mixed up would block your flow. Good luck
The long one goes to the rear to feed the center support. I have them in the correct spot but that's a good tip! Thank you
Good thing we have backup transmissions!
looking forward to this homie!!
I cannot believe a single thing went wrong! And unfortunately, I don't understand the 4L80e well enough to tell you how to fix that other than tell you bring both transmissions from WARR back with you!
If I knew what it was I would fix it but unfortunately im going to have to inspect it and make sure I have all the correct hard parts in it and see if we did any damage to the rear bushings if it was starving for fluid for the short drive I went on.
I haven't done much with 4l80s but I would bet there is some sort of bypass in the pump that isn't working. I'd swap it out with the known good one and figure it out when you have more time. Keep grinding. Looking good.
Different year transmissions have slightly different pumps from what I understand so you can't just mix and match. I'll tear it down when I have time and verify everything in this transmission is correct for the year specified. It was a core trans I knew nothing about and I didnt know to check that so well see what I did wrong at some point and ill share it with you guys.
Well, not the update you were hoping to make and not the one I was hoping to see. Keep at it brother, you'll be dialed in soon. If you're up here tomorrow maybe I can bring you and the Warr boys something cold to drink. You're gonna need it! Lol
I will be a the shop for most of the day I imagine. You can swing by if you like. They are open all day.
Man , that's definitely not what you were planning on. You'll get it straightened out ! 💪
I was super excited about getting the transmission working too haha. I'll get it sorted out when I get back home.
Could you add a pressure gage to the oil outlet and outlet before removing anything?
I will add a converter charge pressure sensor at some point but I know it's not pumping because the cooler was cold to the touch and the transmission was 200. If it was putting fluid through the cooler the cooler would be the same temp as the pan or at least close to it.
Why do you think it isn’t flowing? Torque converter engagement? Bad torque converter?
Torque converter works fine. Its tighter then the other one I was using but its not dragging and lock up worked fine when I took it around the block the first outing and got on and off the freeway.
@@Burndown does the input to the cooler have good flow/pressure if you disconnect the line?
@@Burndown I’d just want to figure out what your low/no pressure is from

Good luck getting it fixed.
It won't be done for RMRW so I'll just go with plan B or C. Depends on how the weekend goes but I need to figure something out. Goonies never say die!
Up' means inlet?
The front fitting on the transmission of this year is the outlet and the rear fitting is the return line from the cooler.
😮
Yeah looks like its on to plan B...
😅😅 God Bless
I need it haha. We will get it sorted enough to go have fun. It will be another year of not being able to push the car at all tho so ill focus on enjoying the trip and spending time with my people!
Hate to hear the bad news Dane but hang in there! 👍👍👍
We are on to plan B or C at this point but I'll get something put together in time to go. I won't be able to test so we will be shaking it down at the event as usual 🤣
@@Burndown Awesome!
Wrong fitting on the trans?
No I have the correct ones installed. The long one on the rear because it's a later model transmission so it takes the fitting that's longer that goes into the center support.
@@Burndown has to be something simple or it wouldnt go into reverse
