I think you could get by on aluminum using like a router or rotozip with the right blade depending on how thick I have a rotozip with a circle jig you just drill a hole in the center but I have only used it on wood and drywall but I think it would work fine
I use a jigsaw or plasma cutter, for circles I don't have a hole saw for.
Not sure it wouldn't get gummed up with ALM but it would be cool to see if someone tried it.
I forgot I could use a Plasma cutter
The fuel cell is turning out great. I'm sure it will be solid when you weld it together.
I hope so!
"I think I'm going to be that guy."
Same Dane, same. 😁
🤣
I wonder how close (if polished) the colour of the Pacer is to the colour of the Twinnebago gold would be.
Not at all. Green COLOR won't match gold, no matter how much you polish it.
It will end up being Black and gold but a more Gold Gold and not so yellow gold when its done.
Yes its a faded green
Thank you for sharing
No problem
I use a circular saw with an aluminum diablo blade, to cut the 1/8" aluminum sheet, i use for making catch cans and fuel cells. Cuts pretty smooth.
That’s a good idea. I would probably cut my leg off tho 🤣
@@Burndown LOL
I use a plasma cutter or jig saw, to cut circles, that I don't have a hole saw for, too.
@@funfun8095 I have a plasma cutter. Didn’t think of that one 🤣
@@Burndown lol Would have been a lot easier and faster. ;)
😮

If you're just wanting to run E, at the track, I'd just put a 3 gallon poly or aluminum cell, up front under the hood.
Look up "Tig Finger" i use one all the time. Will keep you from toasting your fingers and ruining your gloves.
Hopefully your return line doesn't aerate your fuel, right by the pickup. I usually divert the return, to flow away from the pickup, for that reason.
Ill look up the TIG Finger. I have an aluminum line that will mount to the bottom side of the hat and I can kick it away form the pick ups a little so its not dead inline with them. I just want it to fill the little tray is all. Its the street tank so im sure it will be fine to motor down the road on.
@@Burndown Weldmonger dot you know what. I just used mine, again, today. lol
Yeah, should be ok.
@@funfun8095 I have one of those. Didnt know how to use it properly. Ill have to use it so I quit toasting my fingers haha
@@Burndown Yeah, put it on your finger closet to the heat and/or to slide along on the hot metal.
Do you have a fuel cooler in the return line? Would keep your tank temps way down.
No.
Yeah.
No I doing. Like what Kida cooler? Im hoping that the added volume of fuel with a smaller pump and lowering the tank down a bit more to get air flow all help with fuel heating.
@@Burndown that will all definitely help but a lot of the heat comes from returning hot fuel back to the tank. Just Google fuel coolers they'll show up. They have small in line ones that work or just use a trans cooler. Otherwise can scavenge one from an older junked out Chevy Duramax. They have a fuel cooler in the return from the factory.
