Nahh if you use dark chocolate it compliments the sweetness well and tastes good trustbme. Just don't use milk or white chocolate its gonna taste waygy too sugary edit: also sprinkle some sea salt on top. made these during ramadan and theyre so addictive trust

I gave up sugar (other than natural sugars) last year so now fruit tastes so good to me. Especially dates! I read that Prophet Muhammad pbuh said that if we eat 7 ajwa dates in the morning, Allah protects us from poison and magic. So I’ve been having ajwa dates with honey, peanut butter, nuts and greek yogurt. My favourite thing to eat. I look forward to every morning (well sehri time now) Alhamdulillah
Dates are already really sweet and covering them in chocolate makes them overwhelming sweeter, not to mention the calories count that shoots up. I love dates but covering them in chocolate is much too sweet for me...they look great by the way 😄

I really wish we could find more ways to get that healthy sugar without too much or any bad sugar. Like apparently all chocolate is bad if it has any sugar since it’ll be added sugars. Sometimes you just can’t feel so bad about it and keep it in moderation 😂

It does, but in most normal uses of it the amount is negligible. Unless you’re using a shit ton of it or guzzling it, it’s nothing to be worried about.

This type of dates (Majdool) is low in sugar and it’s suitable for those with diabetes.

You could use dark chocolate for a complimentary bitter note. Personally I use very dark chocolate because it has a lot of iron and I’m anemic.

Vanilla extract can be made with vanilla beans and vegetable glycerin. I believe it’s halal. Look it up.
