I worked there for 9 years up to the last second we closed it. We were making around 70k a month which isnt all that great considering a fast food place. Carolls llc decided to close the place up december 30th. And everything inside is being used for other carolls llc locations. Someone recently aquired the building and is likely to be a taco bell.
It’s a shame to see that this Burger King closed. I remember playing in this very playground (10:58) when I was little, mostly in the late 2000s and early 2010s. My nostalgia is gone now. Unbelievable. New update: Now that I am 19 years old and soon turning 20, I decided to take a quick peak of my childhood Burger King on Friday, January 29 at around 9:45 PM to see the changes myself as I drove around the restaurant.
Burger King's onion rings reminds me of a&w onion rings they were so good right batter and frying gees now I want some darn onion rings and their rodeo burger with extra bbq sauce 😭😭.
@@gaylenewood7707 I miss the old American A&W because the quality of their food was so much better back in the 2000s. Now the food tastes like absolute crap. Maybe I should try the Canadian division of A&W the next time I stop by Canada. 🇨🇦
That BK was a best kept secret because it was hidden away and never busy. I went there regularly. The BK on 19/228 is a huge pain in the ass to navigate in and out of.
I started there in December of 1999. With covid our company closed restaurants with low sales. Hard to believe 21 years has passed but people can visit the other less than a mile up the road. and it is Marshall twp silly cranberry is merely across the street on FedEx side. The restaurant was beautiful and very large! parking lot is ideal. Thanks glad you like my other location lol!!!
Wow that is sad to see that location closed. I used to come here many, many times with my dad in the late 2000s. Always loved that play place when I was little, and used to play in it all the time! Great video Wallie!
Wallie, I HAD to throw this in as you kept complaining to the CLOSED DRIVE IN WINDOW at the start. Was in queue at my hometown's Little Caesars store (in the strip mall in Rexvile Town Centre in Bayamon, PR) where my dear 7788 Kmart is FINALLY CLOSING in the next few days. The guy in front of me had one of those Buc-ees mega convenience stores t-shirts I've seen from your TX videos (courtesy of Kayla, of course). I never thought I'd seen those t-shirts "in the wild; like 1500 miles SE of any of their stores. That really put a smile to my face... THANKS!
I know this is gonna sound silly but your videos have inspired me to make some businesses on Minecraft. So far I made a Kmart, Blockbuster, 90s McDonald's, 90s Taco Bell and a 90s Pizza Hut in a city I made.
Dont forget 7-11 and dairy queen and kfc and happy Joe's and golden corral and godfathers pizza oh man godfathers pizza was very good as well alot better than pizza hut cheese was far more gooey than pizza hut cheese..
When you first mentioned the BK in Cranberry, I thought it was the one on the corner of 19 and 228. But that’s right, there is/was one further down the road (in Marshall Township). Those ceiling fans are pretty cool!
We recently had one shut down by due to health violations and was completely gutted two weeks later and sits abandoned with the play place in it. So sad to see.
Hey Wallie, great job on the video, yes, that Burger King was in Marshall township, I think that it always did seem to hurt for business, I remember going to a car cruise there, that the operator held, and he was hungry for business then. Its around 75 degrees where I am, (Boca Raton Florida ) just saw a abandoned Pizza Hut today in Lake Worth. Yes I am bragging about the weather. (But you will have the last laugh, come hurricane season) Bill G formerly of cranberry township.
I actually remember eating at this EXACT Burger King when my school went on a field trip to the Carnegie Museum one year. (I think it was during that field trip we went, I believe after we got done there?) I'm kinda shocked that it closed though. Seemed to been pretty busy as far as I know.
The way the building is shaped, it reminds me of the abandoned Burger King in North Versailles. Luckily ours here in Irwin is always booming with business! AND, it's a classic blue roof Burger King!
Sorry to hear that another Burger King is closed. They have good food. Always love your videos. You and Kayla are great. Looks like a cool place. Can't wait to see the next video. You guys both stay awesome
There's a closed Denny's in Warrenton, a closed Roy Rogers in Manassas Park, a closed Ruby Tuesday and Bar Louie in Manassas on Liberia Ave (all closed within the last year or two), and in Dale City near the Dale Blvd/I95 interchange there is a closed Denny's, this has been closed for a while (10 years at least, I think) and nothing has ever moved into that space. There's also a closed Marco's Pizza on Business 234 on the south end of Manassas, it used to be a Hardee's or a Roy Rogers years ago. And right near the intersection of 28 and Liberia in Manassas is a closed TitleMax that used to be a Pizza Hut. Pretty sad when even a title loan place goes under.
The beginning reminds me of when I tried going to the new Burger King near me. It was about 9:15 PM. Yeah, can I get a Whopper with cheese and 2 double cheeseburgers? We stop serving burgers at 9PM. Wait, what? BURGER King stops serving BURGERS at 9PM? What the hell are you serving then? Impossible Whopper? Why is it impossible to get a real whopper? Needless to say, I couldn't have it my either at "Burger" King and they were open.
Oh god my brother got an impossible burger from Burger King and brought it home and my cats all ran and hide cause it smelled really bad to em it's like someone burnt toast or something and when my brother finish eating it he had heckuva time trying to get the taste out of his mouth he said it was so nasty tasting and I just lmao@him.
These Burger King buildings and land are not owned by Burger King. They are owned by private investors and leased to BK Franchisees. If the business doesn’t do well, then they will pack up and leave when the lease expires. Or maybe even sooner and just pay the lease off. Now the owner who bought the property as an investment is stuck with this land and building which he will never be able to do anything with. When the investor bought the property, the BK Franchisee was probably doing fine. The owner also bought the existing lease. They are called Triple Net Leases or NNN.
We live in New Richmond Wisconsin, and there was a burger king, but it's was in a Freedom valu center, they closed due to the pandemic and really bad customer service, in fact it was so bad that my dad went there once and they messed his order up badly, and he yelled at them, and they screamed back at him badly, so he got banned in 2019
Hi Walkie and Kayla how are you both doing? I just found out that my Hyannis Kmart is closing, I have a question, how do I go about getting the Kmart sign that's above the entrance of the store. Could you please respond back to me , I love your videos from Delores
Good find, good find. You’re technically in Warrendale/Marshall Township, Allegheny County but what’s weird is that they have a Mars address. I used to work at the Eat n Park that’s literally in their front yard for a couple months. I must inform you that there’s a Pizza Hut on Route 8 South in Butler that caught fire a couple years ago & has since been shut down. Just in case you wanna take a ride & check things out while you’re on a PH streak.

Because Pizza hut is trying to be predominantly delivery. We've only got a couple of pizza has left here in Memphis that are sit down dine in. The vast majority of them are all delivery.
