Thank you very much for doing such videos ! Easy to follow step by step !! I've been seeing your videos for quite a long time now and I follow your instructions eyes closed (if I may say so!!!) because I know it always worked fine for me !!! Thanks again for your work and patience !! I'm a woman from France a bit lost with technical stuff sometimes !! So this is very helpful for me ! Cheers Michael !😘
TL;DR 1 power on loopstation holding EXIT key on it 2 plug it's USB cable to pc, it will popup as a usual flash drive disk on your pc 3 extract all files from the firmware archive to the root of that disk 4 safely eject disk as usual flash, press ENTER key on loopstation to confirm update
Congratz to you ..U saved my RC 5050 mk2 Udate Problem on Mac OS , the Roland Support Instuctions did not make the RC 5050mk2 screen to Display UPdate..but ur Trick to Boot RC with Power on/Exit button pressed DID IT..hope this helps everyone Thanks Bro

By the time I am into my 3rd - 5th song in my set the looper starts adding mystery bars to any loop after the base loop. I don't know how this isn't disastrous for anyone who loops without a midi clock. I record my own drums so I never use the pre-defined bpm. Seriously, my entire show was suffering because of firmware 1.3. I wish I knew how others who don't use a click or the built in rhythms cope with it. I reverted back to 1.21. Really crushing considering half my income comes from my rc. I really hope they put out a 1.3.1 that gives the option of old version of beat detection that isn't reliant on a predefined bpm.
I have been finding that using 'CleaAll' at the end of a song is sometimes just not enough to completely reset the RC for a fresh start on the next song ... So, in the last two videos I've made, you'll find I've been preparing for a strategy that I think fixes the exact problem you've been having ... I hope to be able to return to my studio soon to elaborate on this, show examples and clarify the procedure ...
@@the_michaelsphere ruclips.net/video/66u0bBQnIkc/видео.html The first 2 minutes of that vid and the discussion in the chat will sum it up better than I could, but in a nutshell Boss abandoned the loopers who create their own rhythm track live to serve people who start from the rc's built in rhythm and bpm or midi synced pre-determined type genres. I guess there were problems where occasionally the rc would go into 1/2 time with people synced to an external midi clock.
Updated my 600 to 1.3 easy peasy but often get "looper too busy" pages where tracks drop out but rhythm still plays. Returns to normal op after a bar or two. Occasionally get a short but disturbing "horrible glitch noise" lasting a fraction of a second but guaranteed to ruin the mood you just created. Was hoping the update would solve the probs. Anyone else out there with similar issues? Thanks for a fine video.

Hi there & thanks for watching!! There have been some people experiencing difficulties, lost configuration settings & whatnot ... possibly due to not 'Backing Up' things before the update ... there are also people saying they've reverted back to previous versions of firmware, I have to wonder if they just are just resistant to learning curves, or trying to persuade others to migrate to other Looping a solutions ...ie - the tablet-based LoopyPro app ...

You're welcome & thanks for watching !! I know its hard to find help from such a big corporation ... almost never get a useful reply from them.
TL;DR
1 power on loopstation holding EXIT key on it
2 plug it's USB cable to pc, it will popup as a usual flash drive disk on your pc
3 extract all files from the firmware archive to the root of that disk
4 safely eject disk as usual flash, press ENTER key on loopstation to confirm update
That is the bare essentials of the process !!
