And I will stop my journey to find a true review of Frozen here. Mark's thoughts on the film are the closest resemblance to how feel about it. Only amplified by about 10.

Have to agree. Loved the supporting feature and the film. Did Mark stay right till the end of the credits? If he didn't he missed a treat!

Absolutely beautiful film! Loved every second of it. Cute, funny and visually spectacular! Astounding music! Great characters and a charming and funny script. My film of the year 2013!!!

I wish I saw what's supposedly so great about this, as the many flaws for me, were:
Anna seemed like a copy of Rapunzel
Crammed in too many songs in its first third or so
Setting seemed to lack a true sense of identity
    The pacing was rushed
Sven sufficed as comic relief, so Olaf wasn't really necessary
The trolls felt superfluous and were undeveloped
The twist didn't seem earned nor planned adequately.
On the plus side, I liked: Kristoff, Sven, some of the songs, the idea of the twist and the quieter, emotional scenes. It just overall felt very so-so and run-of-the-mill.

I agree so much! Anna is the dumber version of Rapunzel for me. At least Raps had a reason for being naive. Also Sven is a ripoff of Maximus, and Kristoff isn’t even on the same level as Flynn. Tangled is 10000X better

Took the wife and kids girls 3 and 6 to see it. We all loved it. I take the point about the visual similarity to Rapunzel and the number songs, but what great songs! Having lived with it a week or two I've realised it is essentially an animated musical. But really that in the fine tradition of Disney anyway. I actually guessed it was the girl from the Wicked stage show singing, and her song "Let it Go" is an absolute belter. I have no doubt Disney have the Broadway version in the pipeline already. Summary: it doesn't quite beat Tangled for me, but it comes pretty close, which puts it in the "excellent" catagory.

God, this movie is gorgeous. And cute. And pretty funny. Its beginning is a bit sketchy since it seemed to aim towards younger audiences only, but it quickly picks up and appeals to all ages. I usually don't like musical numbers at all because they tend to be just three minutes of rehashed a four-second-long sentence for the sake of filling a runtime, and they did that here 50% of the time, but the other half of them worked rather well. The voice acting is all good and the animation is stunning, and the 3D gives off a very good and immersive depth of field throughout. The biggest thing that doesn't work is the writing. It's distractingly lazy. Honestly, this is SO much like Tangled that it's kind of ridiculous. Everything about it, and I mean EVERYTHING. From the opening titles to the end credits, it's the same exact stuff, even how the resolve the conflict and make peace with each other. It could have been so much better if they didn't just take the Tangled script and use the search and replace function from Microsoft Word. It could have been waaaay better, but oh well. 8/10, good, one thumb up, above average, etc.

    Ok ok ok.
I know Mark loves it, his favourite perfect movie is mary poppins so i can understand that.
Other comments here (dangerous thing putting out other comments as if they have any standing i know) saying the film is underwhelming.
Afraid i have to pull the middle of road BS here but, yeah the first half was abit simplistic script wise (minus the short and the set-up for the story which were both epicly perfect) but the second half did pick up the slack for the first and as an adult viewer, i found that saved alot of the film for me, that i didn't hate olaf as nearly as much as i thought i would from his clips in the trailer.
Other than alot of pretty weak filler songs that helped single out the better ones.
I'd say this is just as good as Tangled.

So if I understood correctly he gives Frozen a 10/10, five star rating? I mean he doesn't have ANY criticism whatsoever. Judging by what I've seen of Frozen I'd say he could have done a far better job whilst reviewing it. Not that I'm saying that Frozen probably isn't any good at all, it's just that I think it's safe to say that the praise it gets is out of proportion. Also what does the supporting feature have anything to do with the movie itself? From a professional review I have to say I expected a lot more. 3/10 :(

Too many songs! It seemed as if every second thing out of the characters mouths was sung, I began to get cheesy song fatigue at around the 4th scene because there had already been 3 songs and it was barely 15 minutes into the run time. Even the exposition was sung to us!

You have very poor taste if you hated a critically acclaimed box office hit which won awards.
