TESTED! DumboRC G01 Gyro for Micro RC Drift Car LDRC 1/18

I tried out the DumboRC G01 drift gyro thinking that a micro gyro may work better for the LDRC project. Unfortunately, as you can see in the video it had terrible wobble/shake. I tried 50% gain and even tried lower off camera, but it still had really bad shake. For now I will just stick with my Onisiki gyro as that seems to handle 50% gain just fine.

You need the G03 and use anti glitching system AGS to reduce wobble.

where do you have the gyro mounted? if its on the motor or anything moving, would that cause it to shake the gyro and therefore cause the twitching?

I tried a few different spots. Still very shaky. Same spots with the Onisiki gyro and that one did not shake nearly as much as the dumbo.

Rats! I ordered the DumboRC G03. Hope it's better then the G01

Looks like the G03 has AGS anti glitch. So that might smooth things out quite a bit. I’ve never had a gyro that has that capability, it looks promising!

Have you heard of the DasMikro super nano drift gyro V5 ? It seem very good (and cheap) I've ordered one as well to test.

There is a slightly more compact V6 as well but it doesn't seem to have manual gain sensitivity adjustment on the board, only on channel 4.
