Thank you for the foresight to do this video nearly 10 years ago!! Answered all my questions as I'm about to till my yard for sod.

I've had this about four months and have found it to be an aggressive and powerful rig. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxjo0FLo5z3Y_qUcT3vSlOqpMaMdFjvsXa I've used several others in the past and the Sun Joe surpasses these, easily. I note that several people have commented that it bounces on rocky and compacted soil. I believe that would be the case with all tillers - the ground does need to be "broken", either with a larger tractor type unit or with a shovel, and rocks need to be removed. I'm living on a Pike silt loam here in the midwest and the Sun Joe turns my garden to bug dust in two quick passes. I use a technique where I do a short 2 foot run then pull it back and let it go over it again.

The honda rear tine tiller is the best overall tiller for landscaping, gardening. Easy to understand and to use. Enough power for most jobs and not to large for the average person to handle. Cannot go wrong with this tiller, whether you are a landscaper or homeowner !!

Cant a front tiller go deeper than a rear? I own a front tine and I read specs on rears going about 6.5"... my axle is usually well beneath the surface and my times are 12" too, so I think I'm getting about 10" deep cause my top shield is about level with the top of the ground... From the side it looks like my engine is sitting on the ground. I dont think you can do that with a rear tine but as I get older I'm thinking a rear tine might be nicer on my body.

I like the Own/Off switch. Nice to have on a rental. Yes, I'm being a smart-ass because of your accent. Thanks for the demo, it was helpful! :-)

How about doing a side by side till off with that thing and one of those tiny 2-cycle tillers that they sell at home depot?

I rented it for $120/day. Works all right but I don't think its a 1 & done. Requires alot of extra work to prep sod. Especially if you do it in Spring after the rains have ended.

Would a smaller tiller still work good? I need to tear up overgrown grass and turn it into a 10x25 foot garden.

Wait... I used this tiller yesterday. It would randomly jump up speed up and drag me til I realized I need to let go then hurl me into the tines underneath when it suddenly stopped...
No demo on why thats that?

Who makes that tiller? What is the model name? Yes, it has a Honda engine but is the whole tiller made by Honda or is it a different Brand with a Honda engine?

Worst place I’ve ever seen for a demo. Can’t hear half of what you’re saying even though I could make out the word “excellent” like half a dozen times.
