    I cannot wax poetic enough about their neckguards. I have two of 'em that were complete custom orders, borderline bespoke, and Topi nailed it along with

    I've never heard of baconing before but that's the perfect way to describe it

    I’m on my second Kova neck guard in 4 years. My first one got stolen from the locker room when I was peeing. I love these. Mostly the one with the normal sized collar. I briefly wore one that was like half an inch bigger and it was really annoying my neck and chin movement. Prior to Kova I was a Maltese neck guard guy but those crumbled up or ripped open way too easily. I had high hopes for The warrior clone of the Maltese one but I ultimately hated it and sold it like 3 weeks later. The neck guard of it was so stiff and tall and couldn’t form fit to me so the chest portion would stick up and fight against my chestie.

    Very good stuff. I only think that the velcro should be on the back, since it interferes with an edge of a mask a bit and you feel the difference between left and right side...

    Did you order the additional gel in the neck or clavicle?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  6 месяцев назад

      I ordered the additional gel in both spots

    I have the same c/a, tell me more about the Bauer add-ons on your shoulder! The pro spec shoulder cups on mine leave a lot of unprotected space.

      I added caps from the Bauer 1X knee guards. It lowered upper arm mobility but fixed my "dead arm" issue. But it still wasn't good enough since on the sides it ends up being direct impact on the Curv shell and then transferred into your arm so you still get bruised pretty bad. But the "dead arm" goes away so it is a slight improvement.

      Thank you! I harvested some parts from an old P1 but was thinking of having something built from PAW or the like. Nothing worse than flinching on a screened block and getting pegged in the shoulder.

      Yeah... not sure why there is that massive gap up there. But I guess there is a reason a tonne of NHL goalies wear padded base layer shirts.

      In my case I’m more inclined to believe that Olivier Rodrigue is a t-rex. Only logical explanation I can come up with.

    They have 3 different neck heights, you talk about the two here, but what sizes are they.
    The low and med, or med and high?

    This looks like an amazing neck guard! Is it certified for use in Canadian leagues?

    • @HockeyReviews

    maltese or kova?

    • @HockeyReviews
      @HockeyReviews  6 месяцев назад

      Kova, the higher density foams help a lot more for direct impacts.
