A look at neck guard options for goaltenders from CCM, Bauer, Brian's, AEGIS and Vaughn including both certified and non-certified models. We don't cover danglers this episode but definitely encourage their use (admittedly for a few of us it's a case of do as we say not as we do.... ) . What's your experience with neck guards? Preferences? Do you wear a dangler with or without a separate neck guard? Let us know!

My son wanted to get a custom KOVA, I saw the AEGIS and told him that was what he was getting. He has thanked me so many times for getting it. He absolutely loves his! We will be replacing it with another AEGIS when needed.

Excellent Simpsons pull by Cam with the "Don't do what Johnny Don't does". Bought my Aegis Interceptor (original model) from THS and love how light and flexible it is.

How often are y’all getting clapped to the clavicle? I run so hot, I want to be as close to nekkid as I can get.

Would have loved to see you put your hand over your head or even try to touch oposite ear reach around and over. No way in HELL this doesnt bunch up like crazy on you. That is alot of material in the collar/shoulder area. Add in a chest guard with big shoulder floaters. you are going to have massive mobility issues. We we wont get to see that movement though. If real goalies actually designed this they would know its not a practical neck guard. Maybe built like a tank, but tanks are not as mobile as hummers.

Which one? Not all are for everyone but we know people who use each - it all comes down to personal preference and how it integrates with the other equipment you use. Touch the opposite ear? We're all for simple and practical tests but think we should focus on movements we're likely to actually use on the ice - though we could imaging Vasi pulling that off to make a highlight reel save!
