    A salt water tank doesn’t have to be hard. You show how easy it is to set this one up. My first tank was a twenty gallon long. It had live rock for filtration, two air stone for oxygen and water movement, and two t-5 fluorescent bulbs (one actinic and one daylight). I topped it off with RO water every day and did 10% water changes weekly. I had a couple of damsels and some mushroom corals. I wish this ice cap 20 gallon cube was available back then! I bet you can house way better “critters”. What are you planning on using for lighting?

    Hi Colson. Thank You for another interesting and informative video. When I lived back on the East Coast, I had several fish tanks, but were all fresh water. I was always afriaid to get into Salt water tanks because of horror stories from friends or the thought I had that they were very high maintenance as opposed to fresh water tanks. After watching your videos, I just might get into them. You are always very thorough in your descriptions and instructions which makes it very east to follow and understand. I appreciate that very much. Nice set up, by the way. I think it should be mostly coral with maybe some small, but colorful fish. Simple, but elegant since it's a fairly small tank, but that's just me. Looking forward to your future videos in this series, Take Care, and Thank You as always Colson for sharing.

    Hey Colson, the new tank is going to be amazing. I was concerned about the rocks not going in first but I see you already explained your reason why. Maybe you could get a special fish you have always wanted but won't go with your other fish or maybe try something completely new. Something real crazy you would never ever think to purchase. Ask the guys at the shop for suggestions! Peace.

  • @jamesbroderick3660

    Not to sound rude. Why don’t you put the rock in first then the sand? That’s how I was always taught. So that way the rock doesn’t shift later. If you end up Getting a sand sifted Gobi or etc?

    • @colsonscritters
      @colsonscritters  4 месяца назад +3

      Well for a nano tank I’m not going to be added any sand sifting goby and I used the sand to elevate the rocks. Typically I would do that but since it’s a nano tank I’m not too worried about it
