I'm 29 and sometimes I like to watch old Sooner Magic classics from back in the 70s and 80s. When I'm an old man 30 or 40 years from now this will be one of the games I show my kids of an old Sooner Magic classic.
What I am thrilled to be watching, without excuses, is this years team having the "refuse to lose" attitude. It would have been easy to lay down and let Texas just drill OU after being down three scores three times. Many teams would have done just that. The resilience of the team, and their intestinal fortitude, is impressive. They work through the issues that cause their inconsistency at times, overcome challenges and rise to the occasion to prevent losses, even when it’s VERY apparent on the field and the scoreboard. I’m not going to put them in the class of some of the Sooner teams of yore just yet, but it’s refreshing and warms the soul to see true SOONER MAGIC return in all its glory.
100% This team is special. I can see them fighting and clawing with anyone. But now that Caleb is truly in the mix and we have the opportunity to go back to the offense that Riley has mastered I can see us blowing the doors off of people again. Now that we have a defense that can get stops...watch out.
All i can say is that was a special time in OU history!! Caleb coming in and sparking the offense with some crazy and unbelievable throws!! Rattler coming back in for the 2pt conversion for the tie…This is Lincolns time to control that QB room and make sure this is about both QB’s making the team better…Comparable times of Jamelle Holieway and Eric Mitchell battling at the position and making each other better…Egos aside 6-0 and making the team better!! Epic win for all time and great for college football!! Boomer Sooner!!
Just wow. I'm still trying to process what I witnessed. So many of us in the stands went to go get more alcohol after being down 21-7 and we came back to our seats and an hour later it was a completely different game. Sooner magic at its finest. Hands down the greatest game I've ever been at and it was incredible to be there with sooner nation. That stadium was rocking
Very, very real. My brother (UT fan) and I (Sooner born, Sooner bred) also went to get beers and waited out the line. Had to pretty much guess what was happening based on which side of the stadium was cheering 😂 Absolutely incredible game to see though

I loved watching this video. It is the closest you can feel to actually being there. I have been many times and it is incredible but boy does it take it out of you and also the long drive home. I get to watch my Sooners now in my boxers at home. BOOMER SOONER!!!!

Yeah Caleb Williams drank a protein shake b4 the game or sumthin. Dude is just different… I’m sure we are going to see young mistakes the rest of the season and maybe even take an unexpected “L” somewhere on the schedule as he grows but this kid has a cheat code built in him and I love seeing his wheels on him.
@@cryhwks I definitely hope so… I definitely think Georgia is the best team in the country but all it takes is 4qtrs of football and balls bounce the wrong way all the time. This def imo makes Oklahoma that wild card… they are now a team u wanna avoid being paired up against… I just hope this team stays injury free because can u imagine a diamond package with Caleb Williams, Kennedy Brooks, and gray… then outside u got Mims, Mario Williams and stogner(who I think maybe the best right end in the country). He has the stuff of born leaders. Looked a lot like Baker Mayfield out there but with monster legs. Dude would not go down with defenders all over him. Special kid we have here!
Yeah. He’s built like Hurts, has athleticism like Murray (although no one will ever be at that level), and has leadership like Mayfield. This kid has what it takes to shine at OU. I’m rooting for him.
not only the o-line but Haselwood and Willis had some incredible blocks once Caleb was in the game. Stoops is a willing blocker no matter who is in the game.

It really does help to have the refs o lm your side. WR’s running o it if bounds, blocks in the back. This is why OU doesn’t win outside the big 12.
