Pojďte se společně s námi podívat na to, jaká panovala ve studiu atmosféra ve dnech a hodinách krátce předtím, než uvedli svůj debut na trh. Zachytili jsme i to, jak prožívali chvíle těsně po vydání titulu, první verdikty novinářů nebo autogramiádu Dana Vávry.
Epilogue: Kingdom Come: Deliverance is a documentary covering the final days and hours before the game was launched and also moments in the Warhorse Studios immediately after KCD went online and first reviews were published. It is available with English subtitles.

Just finished the game with a little over 100 hours, and I loved every second of it. As a boy I always wanted to be a knight in the medieval times, and this game finally gave me the opportunity. The story was really well written and the world is amazing. You have every reason to be proud of your achievement. Love from Germany.

the only reason i could not help kickstart was becouse all of the payment methots are so uncommon to have here in germany that it was simply unavailable for me.
so i did the natural thing that ppl who can handle money would do and preordered it the second they sold it on thier website.
the only regret i have is not going all out on it
if i where to compare my "hours of enjoyment"/€ to other games and freetime activitys then i realy should own a sword by now that i would use to train hema but you cant win them all :/

Vzpomínám si moc dobře na super formát, který natáčeli tvůrci amerického pořadu GTTV. Jmenoval se "FINAL HOURS". Byl to skvělý pohled do zákulisí několika super titulů, většinou právě amerických, kde šlo vidět obavy, strasti i zápletky z vývoje AAA hry. Věděl jsem, že mít možnost dělat něco takového třeba v čechách, určitě bych to podpořil - ať už tak, že jsme se o to sami několikrát snažili, leč okolnosti prostě nebyly nakloněny. Vidět tento dokument v provedení s citem a hezkou dramaturgií bylo skvělé odhalení, že konečně to někdo zvládne a dotáhne do konce. Je mi jasné, že nad tímhle musel Jirka se Zdeňkem strávit neskutečné množství práce. Skvělý nápad být u "finálních hodin" před vydáním. Děkujeme za tento unikátní pohled, který nakonec ukazuje to, čím si prochází drtivá většina vývojářů nejen v čechách, ale po celém světě :). -Fiola

Gamestar improved their rating after the recent patches from a 77 to a 85/100. :)

Úžasný dokument! Mrzí mě, že jsem do poslední chvíle o hře moc nevěděl a že jsem na ní před lety nemohl přispět na kickstarteru. Když hra vyšla tak jsem prvotně byl trochu skeptický, nedával jsem tomu tolik šancí, řekl jsem si, že ok, podpořím české studio, zkusím si to zahrát, ale opravdu jsem už nepočítal s tím, že ta hra mě natolik nadchne, že u ní ztratím pojem o čase. Takže palec nahoru, už teď se těším na další díl! :) Jak by řekl Henry - I feel quite hungry! :D

Když jsem viděl tu délku, tak jsem upřímně čekal akorát několik dlouhých rozhovorů v řadě za sebou. Musím ale říct, že je to perfektně udělaný a zhlédl jsem to celé! Díky :)

One of the best games I have ever played.
Nikdy jsem neslyšel o ničem v zábavném průmyslu (ať je to cokoliv) co svojí organizační obtížností tak dalece přesahuje vše ostatní, jako je tvorba takových velkých her. A ještě k tomu to udělat s tak malým finanční rozpočtem a uspět světově stejně, jako konkurenční největší tituly, co stály mnohonásobně víc. Máte moje uznání pane Vávra, tohle je úctyhodný výkon a škoda, že valná většina republiky absolutně nechápe velikost toho úspěchu a množství energie a schopností, které jsou k tomu potřeba. A to Vávru nijak extra rád nemam jako člověka. Ale tohle mu nikdo neodpáře a nemyslím, že nebude existovat mnoho lidí, kteří pro ČR udělali z hlediska reprezentace tolik, co on.
Přesně tak, KCD je největší kulturní export týhle země snad od Formanovo filmů..

Neštudovali dokumentaristiku a predsa Zdeněk s Jirkou natočili jeden z najlepších a najprirodzenejších dokumentov, aké som kedy v našom regióne videl. Stálo to za tie nervy a bezsenné noci, kluci. Gratulujem! ;)
Díky moc. My jsme vážně jen kluci, co píšou o hrách, trochu točí videa a chtěli to zkusit. S velkou pokorou ale říkáme, že nejsme žádní filmaři ani dokumentaristé, takže nás moc těší, že se vám výsledek líbí.

The game is vast and full of content with great soundtracks and diologue and they did it with only a fraction of the budget that Skyrim and Witcher 3 had. Opravdu nádherný dokument. Teď si jenom přeji aby u nás vznikalo víc krásných her, a víc takových dokumentů o nich :).
Ve své konzumaci pokrytí herního průmyslu jsem hodně vybíravý a slovní spojení "český youtube" pro mne bylo vždy spíše varovným signálem. Na Vortex jsem ale občas již zabrouzdal a vždy se zdržel déle, než bych čekal. A tahle produkce jen potvrzuje, že jsou tu i lidi, co vytváří velmi kvalitní obsah, podobně jako například let's playe pánů Grygarů. Jen tak dál kluci!

Bohužel stále platí, že nejvíce odběratelů mají ti, co nejvíc křepčí, máchají rukama a produkují týdně 150 videí o délce 1 minuty.

I love how honest and candid the devs are. I'm so glad I was lucky enough to be a Kickstarter, if I could go back, I would've given them more money. I wish WH the best of luck on their continued development of KCD. I would love to see the game expanded, and of course, the game polished as much as possible.

Že ten dokument bude kvalitní, to mi bylo jasný hned, koneckonců vás hoši nějakou dobu sleduju a vím, čeho jste schopní. Ale že to bude až takhle skvělý, to jsem nečekal. Jak jsem psal do komentářů dříve - předčili jste očekávání moje a evidentně i všech ostatních.

Congrats, Warhorse! KCD is my GOTY! I want you guys to do a follow up to this video, showing hopefully a massive success party. It ended on kind of a down note, I hope that Daniel and crew don't feel let down. Granted, I don't get out much, but this game to me is a huge success, and it seemed to be selling like hot cakes. Koukám na to po šesti letech. Po shlédnutí traileru na dvojku mě chytla fanouškovská horečka. Zkouknul jsem snad všechny rozhovory a když už jsem nic nenašel, vrhl jsem se zpět na jedničku. Dokonce jsem se do ní opět pustil, byť jsem to kvůli časové náročnosti už neměl v plánu... Už aby byla dvojka 😊

Glad it wasn't just me. That dream sequence with his 'parents' damn near made my cry.
For me, KDC is a milestone in role-playing history (but I'm also a bit of a history nerd). I haven't played much in the past few years, but this game has captivated me! You can feel the passion, the humor and the interest of the team at every point. I love the bohemian setting. A few years ago I was able to visit Prague and Brno, a great experience. I have the feeling that this game could only be created in the Czech Republic. Daniel Vávra seems very pleasant and down to earth to me. Some articles here have painted a pretty negative picture about the game and the person. I approached the game without prejudice (with a Womans lot and all DLC s) and then read the negative articles. Criticism is important and good if you want to improve yourself, but some things simply arise from the negative world of thoughts of the viewer. KDC doesn't pretend to be a history book either, it's a game that tries to be more realistic than others ... and that goal has been 100% achieved!
But that's just my opinion…

Taky jsem si hru koupil, já obdivuji to co jsze schopni vytvořit za hry, které jsou schopné rozdrtit většinu konkurence. Byla to jasná volba. Kdo to nehrál, není hráč... Tuto hru by měl mít každý. Možná to někdo neví, ale české herní vývojáři jsou respektovaní po celém světě. Děkuju chlapy, díky moc za nejlepší příběh a grafiku všech dob. Díky moc. Tohle byl můj sen, kvůli tomu hraju hry, to je to co jsem vždy očekával od sebelepší hry a nedostal. Respekt hoši, opravdový respekt.

You guys didn't must made another game. Despite what people think about it, good or bad, the important fact is that you guys raised the bar with this game (!!!), creating not just a historical based experience, but creating to some degree some interactive history lesson and broke some mold with a bunch of innovations!
Maybe you said you overshot with the clothing system. But such a multiple layer system was overdue in look how little 3D figures changed since the beginning of 3D cards. and it also helped to make your game possible by drawing attention of many backers from the Star Citizen community which was a huge beneficial aspect for you guys, not just money-wise but on a technical level.
I wish this video could be uploaded as free extra on the Steam and GOG site as a reminder of this huge struggle you guys went through against all odds. From all crowfunding projects I backed, this was the one I am most proud of as this project is truly unique. But I certainly hope it will not stay the last of its kind. Very well done, Warhorse Studios!!!

This is something special, a story of how a bunch of developers worked for nothing for a few years, went around begging big developers, showing their work in progress, and having to put up with hurtful insults from people saying nothing they would do would ever work and that they suck as people. But the moment when they launched the game, and held high their finished work to the cheers of all at Warhorse, that must of been a sweet moment indeed.
Velmi kvalitní dokument, ze kterých se člověk dozví vše, co ho kolem té hry zajímalo, ale dosud nenašel odpověď. Dále se také velice klaním celému týmu Warehorse, protože ikdyž to studio limitovaly finance, limitoval je deadline, i tak se jim povedlo stvořit něco neskutečného, a pro mě jakožto pro fandu husitského období v Čechách je to naprostý zázrak.

So here I am watching this documentary (with English subtitles) and I have only started playing Kingdom Come Deliverance yesterday! I merely got my feet wet with a few hours of gameplay, and I can tell that this is going to be an amazing game. I confess, I did wait a few months as I wanted the devs to fine tune the game a bit, but I am so happy to support a devoted team, and I'll definitely become a follower of WhiteHorse in the future.
The thing that strikes me the most, in these early hours of the game, is the authenticity, the feel of being there. I live in a country with castles and historic landmarks, and this game really gives that feel of those authentic places, with the difference that they are alive, and you have the muddy roads, and the guards, and all that incredible atmosphere. The lighting, the wind, the rain, I'm just in love with it. I can predict logging dozens, maybe a hundred hours in this game, and share the experience as much as I can with my friends.
Congrats on a work of passion, on your devotion to improve it, and your success. The road ahead is bright for this team. Best regards, from Portugal.

I wish i could've kickstarted the game because i love it so much and im dying for one of those deluxe edition boxes. Sadly I didn't find out about it till around release. But this is my favorite game since Witcher 3

Same here. I almost did kickstart the game, but I didn't have much in my bank, and although I had high hopes for the game, I honestly thought the devs were being way too ambitious and I didn't want to be disappointed. I didn't believe in them, but I was wrong! I'll definitely be backing the sequel if they choose to do a kickstarter, I believe in WH 100% now. These guys are following in the footsteps of CDPR, I'll watch them closely over the next decade.
What's funny is, if I had known that Daniel would have given the first Witcher game a 10/10, I'd have given him all of my money right away, lol, because actually the first Witcher game is my favorite by far. 3 was an amazing work, and ground breaking, but when 1 came out it was so different than anything that had been done, and the story was so gripping.

Hru sice hrát nemůžu protože můj starý počítač by ji asi nerozjel nicméně hru sleduji a na RUclips jsem viděl lets play videa z hraní přes 100 hodin a nemůžu se vynadívat. Jsem nadšenec do středověku takže hře strašně moc fandím. Jsem rád, že i u nás v naší malé zemi může vzniknout úžasná hra!!! Jen je škoda, že třeba někoho nenapadne udělat i deskovou hru Kingdom Come Deliverance. Myslím, že by to mohla být jedna z nejkrásnějších deskových her.
Dostal jsem se k tomuhle až teď a musím uznat, že je to opravdu super. Tak koukatelny dokument o něčem, čemu vůbec nerozumím, to se jen tak nevidí. Dobrá práce

Koupil jsem na Steamu v roce 2021 se všemi DLC a vynikající hra bez bugů. 10/10. Těším se na 2. díl. Doufejme že vyjde.
This is the first game i had felt invested in story wise since i was a child. I can not thank you enough for providing a very rare experience, one that i was happy to pay for the expansions as well. Costs and stress relating to making money back was consistent throughout this film, hopefully you came out above.
1,5 years waiting for stable version, 300+ hrs playing: the game is soulful, unique and immortal with modding. Great respect to all team for their hard work and courage!

Fantastický, naozaj fantastický dokument. KDC je pre mňa nie len hra roku, ale aj jedno z top 3 najlepších RPG všetkých čias. Snáď budú aj predaje stále pokračovať do vyšších čísel, pretože Vávra dokázal po dlhých rokoch hejtu na jeho osobu, že naozaj vie čo robí a chápe videoherný priemysel ako málokto.

This is a LEGENDARY game! Im so honored and proud to have played such an extremely immersive game! Yes its not a perfect game , lacks of facial animation and some other elements but considering that they are not super budgeted studio they did an excellent job! this game is so magical it pulls me in to that world its been a part of my day i play it every after work i feel like i have 2 lives to live with. Thank you guys! Never been a super fan of a game but this. Im super looking forward for the next game that has similar structure of KDC maybe a different country setting and timeline, great job guys you all are LEGENDS. *standing ovation

btw the boss of warhorse says he had only 6000 czk in his bank account at the time of launch - this is 250 Euro! The guy was basically broke! I am so glad it worked out for him and his crew. He learned humility and endurance and whatever he touches will be pure gold from now on, his heart is pure.
So great to see a true labor of love. I missed this one but when you guys are ready to do another Kickstarter campaign, I'm in!

Great documentary. It shows the life of a game developer. His woes and fears, his struggles and hopes. Great insight behind the scenes. It's somewhat like a painter who paints a painting and he doesn't know if people will like it or not. He's giving his heart his time and strength to it and then when it's finished even when you're satisfied with your work, you still don't know if it is a success or not.
I'm now 40+ game hours into the game - and you know what? It's an absolute milestone in the gaming history! If it wasn't for the technical bugs just after release, it should receive 90/100. Definitely one of the best games I ever played. Warhorse Studios has done a great job and my big respect for the risk they took on their shoulders to make their dream reality! I hope you will make a lot of money out of it - and will bring out more DLC's and sequels to KCD!
