    Very nice Frank , and enjoyed also your conversational normal speed delivery that is always more helpful than the , often ninety miles per hour delivery of others who may not be as interested in us getting the point as you are . Thank you so much .

      Thank you very much!
      I try to have a pace to aid understanding - although, I do sometimes go a bit fast. It’s a good reminder for me that I should watch that and make sure I keep the pace at an understandable level.
      Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment too!

    Thank you for the video. The sound playback on my wireless headset was very loud during my meeting on Google Meets today. I think this video will help me resolve it. For some reason, headset output doesn't respond to volume controls, unlike headphone output.

      @@LearningandTechnology Yes, that fixed it. While I still couldn't have volume control using the XM4 as a headset & mic, the changes I made from the video made it so that the default volume isn't the deafening maximum. Thank you! I looked all over the internet for this information. I'm glad I found your video!

    very informative video frank. another audio option comes to mind, and that is the desktop speakerphone that includes a built-in mic. there are many of these on amazon for example, and many get very high ratings. a good one is around $75 to $100. do you have an opinion on these devices?

    • @LearningandTechnology

      That’s a brilliant idea - I haven’t tested those, but I can see those being very useful.

    Frank this was very well explained - do you happen to have anything similar for similar issues using an iPad? I’m having problems with echo and feedback using Messenger when on a video call with my 3 siblings and can’t work out if it’s my iPad, connection, Messenger or what!

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  3 года назад +1

      “Normally” with an iPad the video conferencing should work fine - as they have good balance between input (microphone) and output (speaker).
      Feedback is normally caused if the volume is set very high. The other issue might be if there are any other audio sources (like a laptop) nearby that are causing the audio loop.
      Although not ideal - you can always try using a headphone/microphone combo like AirPods or the wired ones. This can help.

      @@LearningandTechnology Ok thanks so much - it seemed to work for a couple of weeks then this whole feedback thing started so I’m trying to figure out what’s changed! I think I have a pretty dire broadband package at the moment though so am going to try improving that soon - if that doesn’t do anything I’ll get a good pair of headphones and try that :)

    Frank,very clear audio differenciation - thanks. Am very new to teaching online and this was helpful. I have an older mini mic that was for a sax, wondering if it might work for my voice if i clip it on? I feel like im asking a really silly question, but when i use my headphones or earphones, my voice sounds so muffled TO ME, naturally because there are things in my ears, do people just get used that ? it is really bothersome. Thanks

      I think an instrument mic would work perfectly! Clip that on Your shirt and you’ll be a rock star.... or jazz :) I’m sure it would work very well as it’s probably high quality.

      thanks, ok. BUT my other question about feeling like I'm in an echo chamber with earphones or headphones, is that what every one gets used too?

    hello Frank, I still have a problem with an user that Can't hear the meetings, they can hear her. I check all the settings and everything is correctly set up. do you have any other suggestion?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  Год назад

      This is most likely the settings on the students end. They need to ensure that their device settings are sending output to speakers or headphones.
      This happens to me all the time - my “speakers” get set to the wrong device. I’ve even had my “speakers” set to my Yeti microphone! Which obviously isn’t going to work.
      Have them check speaker setting.

    The sound during the live lecture of ZOOM is very cracking and not understood.
    Please ,your advice.

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  3 года назад

      There are a couple of possibilities. One - is the audio working outside of Zoom? If you use it to record on your computer. If that is the case, then it could be the speed of your Internet connection.
      If the audio is poor in other applications- then it could be the computer itself.

      NAJAH DOUBA ah! Yes - it’s likely the WiFi. That can sometimes be a bit challenging in terms of connection speed.

    Thanks, Frank. I'm getting very loud, alarm-like feedback through my internal monitor speaker when I attach my webcam. Do you know what it could be?

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  2 года назад

      It might be the microphone on the webcam picking up audio from the speaker and then creating a “loop”
      If you go to sound settings and adjust the sensitivity of the microphone - that can help

    I’m using the Yeti and make monitor speakers but I get echo. Is there a way to not use headphones and not get echo

    • @LearningandTechnology
      @LearningandTechnology  Год назад

      This is a common issue - but there is a solution! There are a couple things to try. Lower the volume of the speakers a bit so that the Yeti doesn’t pick them up. Keep the microphone away from the speakers a bit. Make sure you are speaking into the front of the microphone and in Teams go to the device settings and select the reduce echo checkbox.
      That will hopefully do the trick. Otherwise, it may require going into sound settings and adjusting input sensitivity of the yeti

      Thanks! This video is one of my older ones - before I learned about RUclips subtitles - so I’ve added them to all my most recent videos and hopefully can go back to all my old ones and add them as well :)
      Although - if you can’t hear my RUclips video - your audio problems are probably a system issue and not a meetings issue - ie - can you hear ANY computer audio?
