There's no mention of "Original Sound". I've found it very useful for speech, since it eliminates gating and gives more-natural vocal sound.

You can certainly use the BOYA BY-MY with Zoom on a desktop or laptop, like I talked about here: ruclips.net/video/7yHkdxoon44/видео.html
It's only problematic on a phone.

Sorry but that Lav mic is not aimed properly and is causing a discolouring of the sound. It is pointed away from your face and actually picking up a reflection in the room to cause it to sound hollow.

Zoom makes my high quality XLR mic and my Blue Snowball Ice USB mic sound like a tin can. It's Zoom's problem, not the mics. And I tested Zoom on my laptop and desktop. Then again, this video is 2 years old so maybe Zoom's quality just sucks now.

Switch off audio processing in Zoom and use "original sound" if you have a quality mic.

@ I did that on both computers and it didn't work. Zoom is overcompressing my audio.

​@mochabites If Zoom is compressing your audio, you may have zoom's "Automatically adjust mic volume" turned on. Turn it OFF, and set the mic gain yourself.
