This has been the weakest part of my game for some time., Even after 16 months, I still didn't know it was called technical mount till last night! I'm always defending and often failing to defend the arm bar. Now, I have some tools to work with. I'm a quick study once I have the answers. I've self taught so much of my game from yourself, Chewy, and Jordan and own many of your instructionals. Thanks for all the help!
Thanks for this. I used two of them today. The bottom leg and the last one using body to make space. Afterwards my opppnent wanted me to show them. Thanks so much for easy escapes. The hardest part though is doing them to a smaller opponent. Maybe that’s the kind of video I’d like to see. How to do some of this when your opponent is smaller than you. Might be difficult. I don’t think your a very tall guy. Huge difference in space available when opponent is smaller than when same size or. Bigger.
Thanks for the options! As a white belt I often get into that bottom position against higher levels and have no idea what to do... appreciate the video
I end up here a lot because I do the ankle scrape/elbow escape mount escape as a go-to but then I'll get some big guy that really knows what they are doing and here I am smashed, stuck, fending off attacks and in danger of getting my back taken. Watched this video and got out fairly easily last night against a 300# blue belt. I inserted my arm and immediately started shrimping back, back, back to get all that space - I wanted to do the shin sweep but I had so much space it was just ideal to hip back in and wrap up his leg, then flop over and now I was in half guard. Thank you so much for posting!
That was awesome. I've been looking for options from being stuck there in technical mount the past year. These are some of the best. Thank you. Love the end! lol.
Thank you Mr. Eli… I’m 235 to, 240 pounds and when I roll with some of my class mates that are 290 and 300 plus, I was getting trapped in their modified mount….. Since you demonstrated these escape approaches, I will try them and respond back later to let you know how everything worked out…
Great video but Just a quick question when you cup the ear while your other hand is active if you notice a punch coming in should you remove that hand to try and block
I really need to drill these. As a blue belt im excelling on top in this position because im a wrestler but failing badly on bottom to escape and getting submitted from here a lot.
thanks. I very often get my knee-elbow escapes shut down by him switching to technical mount and then I don't really knoow what to do besides, struggle, and sometimes get turtle or sometimes he leaves enough space for me to get quarter guard with enough struggling.
It’s tough but it’s a matter of not allowing them deep under hooks or head/arm control then concentrating on making space by their hips so they have to adjust.
@@KnightJiuJitsu if you could make another video explaining more how I would apreciate, one of my higher belt collegues defendes my techmount with that exact technic and I allways get that hand with high percentage of submission going from there, thkx for the response and love your content
I appreciate you watching and the kind comment. As for the hand, it’s hard to show but it acts as a dam to block the entry of the rear arm. Of course if you wait too long, the person on top can work and possibly force it, but without it there, they have an empty space to shoot straight through. I’ll do my best to video this. In the meantime I also have a video on escaping the gift wrap that might illustrate some of this too. Thanks again.
"Don't get in a fight" doesn't get nearly enough airplay in self-defense instructions. For those of us working on JJ vs JJ, this stuff is so good.

As always great info in a great amount of time. I’m so guilty of locking my gaze in the heaviest area. Great lesson. Thanks sensei eli

This is so amazing and always enjoys watching professor Eli knight, thanks again :-)
This video is gold and took my escape game to the next level.

I’m glad you liked this video. I hope it helps
Always great techniques from one of the most phenomenal instructors out there!
I appreciate that so much
Excellent details and options.
Last night I was caught again in this same position and I was hoping to find me the perfect video just like yours!! Thank you!!!
Glad it helped!
great stuff Eii!
Damn I really needed this, thank you!
Great vid!
thank you soooo much !!!
Awesome as usual!
Thank u knight ! Needed that one been thinking lately on a good escape on that one lately
Hope these help!
Wow, thank you for that awesome class!!!
Brilliant!!!!
Great breakdown 👍
At my gym, a lot of people transition to technical mount when I try and do a bridge from mount. I'll have to give these a try!
Beautiful!! That first one is my go to 👌 Gonna work on the others now!
I definitely use that one more than any of the others and love the leg attack entries it offers too
Super 🔥🖒Thank you 👍🖒
The first escape was mind blowing
very nice. tx
Thank you so much!
Really good stuff!
So good....
Thank you Sensai Knight.
OSS. Perfect
I got #300 like! another excellent video - thank you very much professor!
And I appreciate it so very much! Thank you for watching and I’ll keep putting out as much quality as I can. 🙌🙌🙌

great options. 2nd position looks close to waiter sweep
It works a lot like one for sure
Dude definitely knows jiu jitsu
2:08 ... Is it safe to presume a foot lock submission can be utilized after executing the top leg through escape option, Professor?
thanks. I very often get my knee-elbow escapes shut down by him switching to technical mount and then I don't really knoow what to do besides, struggle, and sometimes get turtle or sometimes he leaves enough space for me to get quarter guard with enough struggling.
Thanks, I get stuck here a lot
Nice. Quick question - what if he manages to giftwrap you with a tight kimura/figure4 grip?
Here you go:

Where could I find an escape if they are on top like that but they have reached under my head have my top arm wrapped around?
Try this video - ruclips.net/video/kZLtBSKE6BY/видео.html
@@KnightJiuJitsu Cool, thanks a lot. I will give these a shot!
How do you escape from vegan mount (both feet place onto the hip like butterfly hooks)? As always great content.
It’s tough but it’s a matter of not allowing them deep under hooks or head/arm control then concentrating on making space by their hips so they have to adjust.
What if top gets his foot under your bottom elbow. Almost like a technical S mount.
🤙🔥💪
I saw a anaconda reguard from your first option interesting
That right hand next to left hear is a gift wrap advantage for the oponent, just saying.
It’s intentionally there to block the gift wrap.

@@KnightJiuJitsu makes a lot of sence now, thanks lot, I'll be watching your video, keep up the good work ;)
No beard hmmmm
Yeah, I shave like once or twice a year when I get bored with the beard.
