Karen...have to say that you are a breath of fresh air...love your loose painting and teaching style and all your tips and tricks...Thank you so very much!
So many great practical tips, especially to refrain from too much fiddling, which artists in all media have a tendency to do. Thank you for the inspiration!
Thank you so much for your comment, I’m glad that you found the tutorials helpful, especially not overworking the watercolour paintings! So glad that you found it inspiring also, take care :-)
Your paintings show that you are a wonderful person. Your explanation is perfect too and gives us lot of insight into painting. Thanks so much for all your effort Karen.
Thank you for actually explaining the process as you go along in a clear and focused manner and a HUGE thank you for TELLING US WHICH PIGMENTS YOU ARE USING! No one else doing tutorials really tells what pigments they are using as they go and it is so frustrating because that one detail helps by giving the novice the confidence by putting the worry about which color out of their mind to focus on the other details like value and other things. Its so helpful to watch an artist work and to see the colors mixed and applied, and it is all the more helpful to actually know what colors they are using. Just wanted to give my appreciation because I've been frustrated, especially at the begging of my painting journey, watching videos on other channels and other people's tutorials where they don't explain what pigments they are using
Thank you so much Jeremy, so pleased that you found this tutorial helpful especially regarding the pigment I use. Good luck with your watercolour journey! Happy painting :)
Thank you so much Karen-your video tutorials are so inspiring. It is Anzac Day here today, yesterday I painted one of your poppy tutorials with my grandsons on FaceTime. They put their paintings in their window.
Thank you so much for your comment Libby, I’m delighted that you find these tutorials inspiring and you had a chance to paint on FaceTime with your grand sons! How amazing is that! Take care of yourselves :-)
Watercolor is new to me. I usually work with acrylics. But you do make a great point about walking away when you want to fiddle with the painting. I fresh set of eyes and taking a photo of it so I can see it overall, like a customer would, rather than focus what I am fixated on helps me.
Thank you. You are amazing. I so want to do landscapes but they freak me out, I just keep plugging away at it. But the way you approached it has given me thoughts. One I need to relax. Thank you
I get so much out of every video. Tried the cosmos last week and loved the results. I think I'll try this one next. I wish I had time to do them all. I have learned so much from you, thank you.
Wonderful Anne, so good to hear! I am delighted that you had a go at painting the Cosmos. Good luck with the next painting, I hope you enjoy it as much. Take care of yourself :-)

Thank you so much for your comment Carol so glad that you like the tutorial and my way of teaching and style of painting! Take care, happy painting :-)
Thank you for that demonstration. I learn a lot as you went along, especially about softening some solid colors with water and brush to make soft texture. May God bless you.
Wonderful! So glad that you’re finding the tutorial is inspiring and helping you not to overwork your paintings! Take care of yourself happy painting :-)
Thank you very much Karen for all explication. So gorgeous your painting, I hurry to get my brush up and the watercolour paper. Stay healthy and safe.. 🕊 💕 😇 💕
Thanks so much... I’ve been looking for a good color for my woodland flower splatter. I love your other video also painting the white flowers against the cobalt sky.
Another cracking landscape Karen! It's not until I try these myself that I realise just how fast you are working -any hesitation on my part and the paint's too dry to work with. You continue to make it look so easy. Thanks as always for your detailed explanations, they really help. I had a problem with my rocks painting this, when I scraped back with the card they were great from where I had underpainting with green. Have learnt next time to use a more neutral tone first so that will be what is revealed when I scrape back next time. Lesson learned!
Thank you for your instruction. I love how you share what colors you use, and the detailed information on how to create a landscape. I learned so much. You are a great instructor 👏❤
Great lesson! Thank you for sharing! I always look forward to coming home from work and seeing another video from you!!! You have quickly become my favorite teacher/artist!

Great video demonstrating techniques. I learnt a lot and loved the idea on using card lift for stones. Will try this. Thanks for this beautiful video and a great painting.
@@KarenRiceArt Hi. I tried the lifting technique, I did not come out well, it scratched the paper, something was wrong. When do we have to lift the paint, after drying or when its damp? Thanks...
