We lost some easy games against shitty teams like the Royals and Diamondbacks which killed us in the end like usual. Always sniffing wild card contention but never actually making it.
Not making the post season kinda stings, but knowing how this team is built going forward and how low expectations were, I am not disappointed. Glad Seager got to go out on a high note, the winningest season for the Mariners since 2003. He will be missed.

Although I’m an Angels fan and the mariners have been a thorn in my side since ‘95. Angels fans know what I’m talking about. Kyle Seager deserve a lot of respect. Total class act. He plays the game right. Wherever he goes after this, he’ll be a great addition to any ball club.
End of this season hurt more than the 2014/2016 seasons because of this. I just wanted him to have a playoff game. First Jersey I bought myself was a Seager jersey.

He's done in Seattle. Seattle is going younger and all players go thru this. I'm actually surprised he lasted this long. Usually all the older players get traded or released but they kept him. At least he is going out a winner.
He has a club option for next year but servais pulling him here pretty much confirms they aren't gonna take it. Truly sad to see him go after putting his heart into the mariners for 10 years and leaving the year before they are most likely gonna make a playoff run.

We'd save a bit and still have a strong bat in the lineup. It'd be no different than having Joey Gallo on your team. They're going young with the rebuild and I get why they're moving on from him, I just wish they'd bring him back as a fan.
An old army buddy of mine is a UNC baseball season ticket holder. When the Mariners drafted him and Ackley I was just going on and on about Dustin. He said by the time it’s done, Seager will make you forget all about Ackley. He was right.

This M’s club as almost of you are aware was predicted and picked last in most of 2021 pre season predictions. Saying well done this as a Yankees fan back East. Now go out in 2022 and kick the crap Of the Houston Trash Cans (whoops Cheating Astros) to take over as the best team in AL West for next few seasons.

From his 1st day in the bigs he became known for his toughness and old school approach. His college teammate was the one everyone wanted, and the 3rd round second fiddle who played second base gave way to his college teammate to play there and became a gold glove at third and an all star. He gave his all and worth every penny to see. Good luck Seags and thanks for the memories.

I got to see Kyle on Oct 1 2021 sitting on the 3rd base side. He was having so much fun out there, you could tell. He was laughing and cutting up with the other teams 3rd base coach and fans also. Really cool dude.
He signed my Seager jersey before that game. I said to him how much I appreciated what he did for the team and for the city of Seattle. He looked at me with almost tears in his eyes and said thank you so much, I appreciate it. 😭❤❤

Another Mariners season, another non-post season. Seems like a typical M's season is over with. This is why I'm never upset when we lose, I just expect it every year. You never get disappointed that way. Been an M's fan since 84.
Congrats to an amazing season. Though not what we'd all hope for, it was exciting and really brought us all together, to say the least. I spent my childhood and adolescence growing up watching Kyle play, my favorite infield spot was 3B because I got to grow up watching him. He deserved this moment, and so so so much more. I wish he could have gotten more as a Mariner. Watching this is so bittersweet, like watching my childhood ride off into the sunset. I hope he knows how much he’s impacted all of our the lives within his time as an M. No matter his uniform, I'll always be cheering for him. Future M’s HoF for sure. Godspeed Kyle.

I grew up watching Seager, he was my favorite Mariner player. I wore #15 my remaining years of baseball because of him. I jokingly said come on man harder to a pitcher during a little league game as reference to his commercial saying he practices getting hit by pitches. After I was done playing baseball, I got to get his autograph at fan fest. But instead of getting a signed ball or picture. I had him sign my #15 little league jersey. I was at this game and waved the jersey with a thank Kyle flag.

Seattle is a city of love, we love all of our baseball players, Griffey, Ichiro, Edgar, Randy Johnson, Felix Hernandez, and you, Kyle. We will always remember your time here. I grew up watching Seager, he was my favorite Mariner player. I wore #15 my remaining years of baseball because of him. I jokingly said come on man harder to a pitcher during a little league game as reference to his commercial saying he practices getting hit by pitches. After I was done playing baseball, I got to get his autograph at fan fest. But instead of getting a signed ball or picture. I had him sign my #15 little league jersey. I was at this game and waved the jersey with a thank Kyle flag.
I had no idea Seager was hanging up the cleats!... Nothing but respect
He was such an awesome player. I hope my Padres are smart enough to pick him up!
