I know this was the biggest comeback but I think last night was the greatest comeback I’ve ever seen

Greatest game ever was seattle vs. Yankees scoreless all the way to extra innings, tons of double plays by both teams. Just a defensive gem. It was like watching two games.

7/26/21 might challenge this one. Not down as much but against the Astros and M's are fighting for a playoff spot.

I watched every second of it. I still remember it to this day. And yes the legend of Dae Ho continued that day.

I was on the I-5 freeway driving from Portland, Oregon to Puyallup, Washington listening to this live on the radio. I almost drove off the road. It was insane!!

I remember watching this series and remembering when the Padres scored that 12th run, I thought it was just payback from the night before when we scored 10+ runs on them. I was not expecting to see the Greatest Comeback in Mariner's History that night

So many amazing things happened during that comeback. I believe it was Wade Miley who started the game for us, he was getting absolutely shelled in the 5th inn. He gave up a total of 9R and after that comeback win jokingly said - luckily I was able to hold them to just 9R’s so our offense could get the W! This game had everything! When the Padres scored 7 in the bottom of the 5th inn there must have been so many M’s fans that turned the game off, no-one imagined the M’s would score 14R over the next 2 inn. Dae Ho and Seager scored 9R between them! The M’s went 11 for 12 w RISP and 10 of those RBI’s came on 2 outs! The M’s team only had 3 LOB all game- from 16 Hits!
That Dae Ho Lee 3R HR? Remember, that was a pinch hit, straight off the bench, just a mammoth blast. Almost no-one hits that warehouse! Ball was absolutely smoked and off a good RP- Brad Hand. In the Mariners 9R 7th inn it was former M’s RP Brandon Maurer who gave up the tying and go-ahead R’s. I believe the go-ahead R was also a Pinch-Hit off the bat of Stefan Romero. So many Padres fans left the stadium in the 7th you could see and hear the large contingent of Mariners fans at Petco. If you could see just one Mariners away game- this was the one! What a game. If you recall, the Padres beat us 14-6 the night before! The night before that? We beat SD 16-4!!! Quite a few RP’s must have been sent down after that crazy 4g series, one that had a total of 81Runs scored between the two teams. The M’s scored 47R’s in that 4 game series! Here’s a crazy stat- this years 2020 Mariners scored a total of 47 Runs in the last 14 games to end of the 2020 season!

How loud were the Mariners fans in the 6th and 7th inn? You could clearly hear them from the broadcast. Also, tell us about that DAE Ho Lee HR blast off the warehouse- my friends who are Padres fans told me they rarely see anyone hit a ball that far up on the building, that ball must have sounded so loud off his bat, like a Nelson Cruz HR : CRACK💥

Great video and good redemption for the blown lead versus Cleveland in August 2001. Why did Dae-ho Lee stay with the M's for only one season? He was one of the bright spots from a season where they should have made the playoffs.

Him playing in MLB was just for kicks. I think he just wanted to try it for a year and see if he could compete. He went back to Korea after where he liked playing the most.

That was a fantastically exciting game but when I saw the headline I thought this was going to be about the year they were 13 games back in the division in the middle of August and came back to win the dividion in the end due to them getting hot and a complete collapse by the California Angels who had that 13 game lead.
